The S+ Class Omega Takes Over Again [BL]
Chapter 77: Never
She stuffed the earpiece into his hand quickly, as if he was going to leave any second now. Cheon Areum looked down at the earpiece with an uneasy mood.
"Please keep us updated on the situation. You should be the first to reach him if you plan on flying there."
"There’s no one who can get there quicker than me?"
"No. Many of the S-Class hunters just entered the gate..."
Cheon Areum wore the earpiece, securing it with his energy so it wouldn’t drop midway through his flight, and stood up. He opened his wings wide, but his feet stayed glued to the roof of the car. He actually didn’t want to go...
Was he scared? He did fail at getting his second core to work in time and only had his freshly healed core with insufficient energy to fully fight against the real Kihyun. After the last meeting, he did find out that Kihyun liked to stalk him—but was he just always listening in on him? As soon as he found out what Cheon Areum was planning, he decided to eliminate the possibility by going straight for Han Kakta?
"Mr. Cheon Areum, I will send Yoon Seoyul your way as soon as he comes back."
Taking a deep breath to calm himself, Cheon Areum took off his engagement ring from his finger and the butterfly hair tie from his inventory.
"Give these to Yoon Seoyul for me. I’m entrusting them to you."
"I will. You don’t have to worry about this."
This was just in case he lost—but if he ended up losing control over his body instead, he would only be able to keep his focus until he got rid of Kihyun. Losing control once, he found out that if he had a goal, he would go after that first before turning to killing others. That’s why he could remember up to the moment he took out the last core of the S+ Class bosses, but not anything after that point. It would be better if Yoon Seoyul could come back safely when he was on the verge of losing control. As for the last possibility, Cheon Areum might be scared, but he wasn’t going to lose—as he had said, he’d rather kill everyone before getting Cheon Areum killed.
"Tell me first when Yoon Seoyul comes back. I’m going to catch Cho Kihyun today once and for all."
With a sudden burst of wind, Cheon Areum leapt off the roof. His wings flashed open in a sharp, sweeping motion, catching the air as he propelled himself forward at full speed toward the Aurora Guild. The force rushed against his face, wind slicing past him as he cut through the city. He didn’t follow the roads below, didn’t weave through traffic or take the longer, safer routes. Instead, he flew in a straight line—direct and relentless—threading between towering buildings with precise control, his path unwavering as he closed the distance.
Just before reaching the Aurora Guild, he came across a wide building that couldn’t be bypassed quickly. Without slowing down, he broke straight through the glass wall. Shards scattered everywhere as he flew over rows of office desks, startled workers scrambling below at the sudden shadow passing above them. Before they could even react properly, he broke through the opposite side as well, glass shattering again as he exited the building.
He was about to ignore it and continue on his way when a loud thud echoed from behind him. The sound made him glance back—only to see the entire building tilting toward him, collapsing like a domino about to fall directly over him.
Falling along with the collapsing building, he reacted instantly—both hands shooting upward as his energy surged out to catch it mid-fall.
There are still people inside... damn it!
This had to be Kihyun. A calculated move to force him into wasting his energy before even reaching him. He should ignore it. He knew that. But...
Instead of the building crashing down, it was him who began to drop under the immense pressure of holding its weight in place. The strain forced him downward until his back slammed into the road below. At the last second, his wings flared out, cushioning the impact just enough to prevent him from cracking his bones and his head open. The force left a visible dent in the asphalt beneath him. Cars screeched to a halt mere inches away, brakes slamming as drivers froze in shock, just barely avoiding running over him.
"Hah..."
Cheon Areum exhaled sharply, his breath uneven from the strain. In the very next second, another shadow crept over his face. He barely had time to register it before he realized—
The building on the opposite side was collapsing too. Tilting. Falling. Straight onto him.
Left with no choice, he forced his arm up again, his energy flaring as he used one hand to hold the second building in the air as well.
Now suspended between the two, both structures loomed above him, trembling under the pressure of his control. Around him, people continued to pour out of the tilted buildings—running, stumbling, screaming—as they scrambled to escape before everything came crashing down.
"Is no one fucking free today?! At least evacuate the civilians!"
Cheon Areum’s voice rang out sharply as he shouted into the earpiece. Both buildings trembled overhead, held in place by his strained control, as people continued to flood out from the tilted structures.
At that same moment, another shadow fell over his face again.
But this time, it wasn’t another building.
His vision shifted abruptly, and suddenly he found himself staring straight ahead at a very different sight—caught between someone’s legs, his line of view filled with nothing but white fabric.
"Move over if you want to live, Irene."
Cheon Areum didn’t even need to look up to recognize it.
"Since when were you this easy to anger?" the voice continued, laced with faint amusement. "Oh right... must be the pregnancy hormones."
The voice came cool and unbothered, as if the situation around them wasn’t on the verge of collapse—and as if she wasn’t deliberately standing there, giving him an unavoidable view of the white fabric beneath her skirt. White boots. White skirt. White—everything. It didn’t take much to figure out who it was.
Irene never wore anything but white.
Not bothering to respond, Cheon Areum simply shifted his arm and knocked one of her feet aside. Irene stumbled, nearly losing her balance for a split second before steadying herself quickly.
"What a moody brat you have become, Cheon Areum."
