The Shining Star Above The Heaven
Chapter 1142: Closer
"No?" Aldrian said in amusement.
Queen Revania still smiled at him.
Aldrian did not need to ask further, as he could already sense what kind of status she wanted if she entered his harem.
She wanted to be his wife.
She was truly ambitious, and it seemed he could not stop her.
"Just like I said, I’m an ambitious person. After walking this far, how could I be satisfied with only becoming some kind of mistress? Why should I not aim higher? Moreover, since Your Majesty has already seen me naked, shouldn’t I receive some compensation for it? I do not think I can marry another man in this life again," she said with a pitiful expression.
"And do not tell me Your Majesty will evade responsibility just because of the circumstances that led to it. Whatever the reason, it is an undeniable fact that Your Majesty has already seen me naked."
Aldrian coughed, and his cheeks reddened.
"Well, in my defense, I only saw your back, and I was not deliberately looking at your body. The only time I saw your front was when you turned—" He stopped himself as he nearly walked straight into a trap.
Queen Revania showed a hurt expression.
"Your Majesty, I do not think you are someone who would evade responsibility. How could you be so cruel to me? Back or front, it is all the same. Why are you trying to justify it to deny the truth? I am already stained."
Although she looked hurt, Aldrian knew she was only playing.
Aldrian sighed tiredly. It seemed that today was the day he had sighed the most in his life.
Seeing him sigh so many times since he met her, Queen Revania could no longer maintain her hurt expression. She smirked, suddenly feeling the urge to tease more this mighty man. She liked seeing him like this, more human compared to his usual lofty figure.
It seemed this would become her new hobby in the future.
Without saying anything more, Aldrian suddenly made all the ice crystals inside the room disappear. They turned into energy particles, returning the training room to its state before it had been frozen.
Queen Revania looked around her surroundings. She had almost forgotten the current situation that Aldrian could imitate—no, he could release genuine nether ice energy and even create the nether ice himself.
She knew that the ice surrounding them was, in fact, nether ice, though it was a greatly weakened version of the one inside her family’s secret realm.
That was because even when that ice had been sealed within a formation, it still exuded the same cold as the ones in this room.
Even so, the fact that Aldrian could create his own nether ice was incredible. She truly wondered what his limits were.
Was there anything he could not do?
"You said you wanted to meet my wives, right? Then suit yourself. There are other things I need to do," Aldrian said before he walked out of the room.
Queen Revania blinked a few times as she watched him open the door and leave. A moment after he left, she smirked.
Had she finally gained his attention? Had she finally left a mark in his heart? Had her image successfully slipped into his mind?
From Aldrian’s reaction, it meant he did not mind her presence, and their connection could now be said to have grown closer. Her chances with him had increased, which left her feeling satisfied.
She was truly glad that she had bet her life, allowing her to get closer to him.
Although she still had not received any direct answer regarding her feelings from him, his reaction was enough for her... at least for now. She had already managed to make Aldrian show his cute side to her, and he no longer seemed to show any rejection toward the way she acted.
He now knew her true feelings and her determination, yet he did not show even a trace of disgust or refusal. He simply let her do as she pleased.
This was already the most she could hope for at this moment.
She only needed to keep growing her presence in his mind and heart. She would keep disturbing him until her absence felt strange to him. She would make him think about her as much as he thought about his wives.
’Ah, I couldn’t wait to tease him again. I think I will become addicted to it.’
Queen Revania stretched her body, then walked out of the training room.
’Oh well, let’s meet my future sisters. There are many interesting things I can discuss with them.’

A day later,
Aldrian was playing with his little siblings. He carried Arderivan in his arms while making Celestina fly, something she truly liked. In the sky, she played tag with Sylvia.
"Brother, faster, faster!" she shouted while giggling as Sylvia pursued her.
With Sylvia’s cultivation, she could of course move so fast it was almost like instant movement, and she could normally catch Celestina as easily as chasing a baby.
But with Aldrian controlling Celestina’s movements, he did not let her get caught so easily.
Arderivan, seeing them flying in the sky, had his eyes glimmer. He stretched both of his hands upward as if he also wanted to join them.
"Aak, aaa." His happy voice sounded adorable.
Aldrey and Irene, who sat not far from them, watched with warm smiles. The scene of their family gathered together warmed their hearts. They truly wished moments like this could last forever. A peaceful life without trouble.
Sylvia, who grew frustrated as she could not catch Celestina, pouted and showed her displeasure toward Aldrian.
"Your Majesty, it’s not fair," she said as she stopped midair and stomped her feet.
Aldrian smiled at her.
"Alright, catch her," he said before gently lowering Celestina to the ground, which made her widen her eyes.
Sylvia grinned and moved instantly. In the next moment, she appeared beside Celestina and tapped her.
"Ah!" Celestina cried as she felt Sylvia touch her before running away.
"Got you! Now it’s your turn, ahahaha." Sylvia giggled as her figure was already far away.
Celestina, having been tagged, showed her annoyance and displeasure toward Aldrian.
"Brother, why did you stop?! How am I supposed to catch Sylvia now?" she asked in a clearly pitiful voice.
Aldrian smiled. "Alright, then go touch her," he said.
In the next moment, Celestina’s figure disappeared and reappeared right beside Sylvia.
Sylvia, who did not expect her sudden appearance, was shocked. Celestina herself was also startled, still disoriented by the sudden change in her surroundings. But the moment she saw Sylvia right in front of her, her expression turned joyful as she quickly reached out and touched her.
"Got you!" Celestina shouted.
"Ah!" Sylvia cried out as she was tagged.
She then looked at Aldrian with a grievance-filled expression.
"Your Majesty!"
Aldrian and his parents could only chuckle at her cute protest.
However, Aldrian soon stopped chuckling as he sensed several figures approaching. He had already noticed them even before they teleported onto the floating land. He turned his gaze toward the figures drawing closer.
Aldrian smiled as he finally saw one of them again after years of separation.
Zander approached him with a smile. He had become much more mature, and his cultivation had grown far stronger than the last time Aldrian saw him. He had already reached High Duke stage from High Earl stage when Aldrian last met him.
His hair had grown longer, and his posture and the way he walked were firmer. He truly resembled a walking sword.
Zander came together with the friends he had made on the Orian Continent: Evalina, Edward, Valik, and Froz.
They all looked somewhat nervous when they saw Aldrian, following behind Zander.
Aldrey and Irene also noticed them and smiled warmly.
As soon as Zander reached them, he immediately bowed to Aldrian.
"I’m home, Master," he said with full reverence.
"We greet Your Majesty," the others said as they bowed in unison.
Aldrian nodded. "It looks like your adventure outside was quite tough. You are much stronger now. Good." His tone was filled with satisfaction.
Zander gave a bitter smile and lifted his head. "Well, I have to say it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows, but this adventure truly gave me valuable experience."
Aldrian nodded. "I can see that." He then looked at the others. "And these are your friends?"
Zander smiled. "Yes, Master. They are my friends from the Orian Continent. They are Evalina, Edward, Valik, and Froz." He introduced them one by one as he pointed at each of them.
They were clearly nervous, their expressions stiff. Even Evalina and Edward, who had been shaped by noble upbringing, still felt tense. How could they not, when they were standing before the strongest being in the entire star cluster, and beyond?
This was completely different from meeting an ordinary monarch.
Aldrian smiled when he saw them like that. He found it somewhat amusing and waved his hand.
"Don’t be so stiff. You are my disciple’s friends, so you are very welcome here. And I truly thank you for accompanying him all this time and supporting him."
"Ah, yes, Your Majesty. Zor... I mean, Zander is our precious friend. He has already become someone inseparable from us," Edward answered.
Aldrian nodded, then his gaze fell on Evalina. When she noticed his attention on her, she became even more nervous.
Aldrian suddenly showed a knowing smile.
"I see. You truly had quite the experience out there, and I think this one is a very good experience," he said as he glanced toward Zander.
