After hanging up, Miranda was also confused. Although Eric’s matter had finally been resolved, she had no idea who did it.

Sitting on the sofa and hugging her phone, she started to think that apart from Anita, Owen, and the others, no one else seemed to know.

Could it be Bruce? The name suddenly came to Miranda’s mind.

Although he was Owen’s assistant, to be honest, she didn’t remember him very well. Moreover, they hadn’t even spoken much. She only remembered that every time she saw him, he was dressed appropriately and smiling.

"Would he do such a thing?" Miranda thought.

The next morning, Owen saw Bruce waiting for him at the door as soon as he reached the office.

He didn’t look too good. Even his usually ironed suit looked a little wrinkled. Owen frowned and asked, "Bruce, what’s wrong?"

Hearing Owen’s words, Bruce came back to his senses and said to him, "President, I have something to tell you." 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

"What is it? Come in and talk," Owen said as he opened the office door and walked in.

"What is it? Tell me." Seeing Bruce stand there for a long time without saying anything, Owen glanced at him again and asked.

"President, don’t be angry. I did this of my own accord. It has nothing to do with Miss Miranda." Bruce thought about it and finally said.

"Miranda? What does it have to do with Miranda?" Owen asked dubiously as he listened to Bruce.

"You went to Eric?" Owen asked again before Bruce could speak.

Bruce nodded at Owen. "Yes, I went to find him yesterday."

"Who asked you to look for him? Why did you look for him?" Owen asked in disbelief, not expecting Bruce to do such a thing behind his back.

"I really can’t stand it. Miss Miranda was blackmailed by Eric when she clearly didn’t do anything wrong and she was the one who was deceived. How could Eric dare to blackmail her?" Bruce said softly to Owen.

"So? So you went to Eric. What did you look for him for?" Owen asked while listening to Bruce.

"I didn’t do anything. I just deleted the messages from his phone so that he couldn’t threaten Miss Miranda anymore and then changed the door lock," Bruce said even more softly as he listened to Owen.

"Bruce, you’re quite something. Are you a gangster? You’re so capable, but does anyone know what you’ve done? And have you thought about it? If Eric finds out about this, your future will be on the line." Owen asked while listening to Bruce.

"President, don’t worry. The lights were off in the house. He doesn’t know who I am. If he finds out, I’ll leave. I won’t implicate the company." Bruce listened to Owen and thought that he was worried about the company. After all, the company’s new product was about to be released, so he quickly said.

"Seriously, do you really think that’s what I mean? Why didn’t you consider whether it would affect the company’s reputation when you did this? What’s the point of saying this now?" Owen listened to Bruce and finally glanced at him.

"President, I’m sorry," Bruce said, lowering his head when he heard Owen’s words.

"Alright, go out. You don’t have to go to work today. Go home and rest for the day." What happened had already happened, so it was useless to say anything. So he could only turn around helplessly and look at Bruce, who still looked haggard as he stood beside him.

Actually, Owen could understand Bruce. If this had happened to Anita, he would have protected her regardless. It was just that Miranda might not know what Bruce had done.

"President, you don’t blame me for doing these things on my own?" Bruce’s eyes lit up as he listened to Owen.

"Get out." Owen looked Bruce in the eye and didn’t answer his question.

" I’ll go out then, CEO." Bruce saw that Owen didn’t answer him and thought he was still angry, so he felt dejected again and turned to pull open the door and walk out.

Owen wasn’t in a good mood either as he watched Bruce walk away. He didn’t blame Bruce for what he had done. He was just worried that he would be hurt. He had done so much for Miranda, but she had no idea. Even if she did, she might not appreciate it.

"Miss Miranda, I’m sorry to disturb you." Owen looked up at Miranda, who was looking at him in surprise and smiled.

"President Owen, why are you here?" Miranda didn’t expect to see Owen here, so she was stunned. When she came back to her senses, she quickly smiled and said.

This was where she was going to record her song today. Very few people knew this place, and she really hadn’t expected Owen to be here at all, which was why she was so surprised to see him.
