Chapter 1080: Chapter 1095: The Director Shows Up

The brother is actually innocent, neither a murderer nor a fugitive, how can they shoot at him so hastily? That’s just too damn outrageous, okay?

After the criminal investigation officer fell to the ground, Lin Mu followed up with a kick, showing no mercy at all. The detectives around, upon seeing this situation, rushed up. But as expected, even though they were tough during training, they became cannon fodder in front of Lin Mu, who swiftly knocked them to the ground. They were all left looking disgraceful.

In a short time, there were cries all over the ground. In the Haidian District Security Brigade in Beijing, he was probably the first person in history to mercilessly beat up armed police and detectives. Talk about being bossy!

Du Mei was dumbfounded, so shocked that she couldn’t close her mouth for a long time. Now she finally believed it, Lin Mu is indeed fearless!

"Hehe, girl, learned something new today, huh? Even if you get the cops to deal with me, they still get beaten. So, do you admit it or not?" Lin Mu chuckled.

Du Mei looked at Lin Mu dumbly, at a loss for words, not knowing what to say.

"Alright, some people seem seriously injured and might need hospital treatment. You better contact a doctor. I’ll leave this scene to you!" Lin Mu chuckled, waved his hand, and left the police station with Man Luo. Du Mei stood still, watching Lin Mu’s departing figure, still in a daze. It was her first time seeing someone so rampant.

Lin Mu left the Security Brigade with Man Luo, took a taxi back to the hotel. After the commotion just now, neither Lin Mu nor Man Luo was in the mood to have fun. Back in their room, neither spoke, each lost in their own thoughts.

"You hit those cops, aren’t you afraid they’ll send someone to catch you?" Man Luo sat down, looked at Lin Mu, and asked.

Lin Mu shrugged nonchalantly, "What is there to be afraid of? I dealt with those guys who deserved it. If I didn’t teach them a lesson, who knows how many good people they’d harm. So I decisively took care of them first."

Man Luo was somewhat helpless; as the saying goes, don’t fight with the officials, especially since Lin Mu hit cops. But then again, Lin Mu’s identity is also quite unusual, hard to say who would get the upper hand. However, it seems Lin Mu was born unafraid of trouble, sometimes even thinking he doesn’t have enough of it!

"Just wait, I bet sooner or later more cops will come looking for trouble." Man Luo said.

"Let them come, like I’d be scared!" Lin Mu scoffed.

"Fine, you’re awesome, okay?" Man Luo rolled her eyes at Lin Mu and then turned on the TV to watch Korean dramas (geez, why is it always Korean dramas).

Of course, when Lin Mu says he’s not afraid, he naturally has his reasons. If it were another city, he might be cautious, but in Beijing, with his connections backing him, he has nothing to worry about.

Not to mention a small-time Captain Deng Chao, even a director or bureau chief wouldn’t faze him. Lin Mu doesn’t care about these fools for a reason. As they say, arrogance must have backing! Without backing, provoking tough guys won’t end well. Just like Captain Deng Chao, a typical reckless type asking for a beating!

A whole morning passed watching Korean dramas, and trouble arrived right at that moment. Around noon, suddenly, the doorbell started ringing, ding dong, ding dong!

Lin Mu got up and opened the door, astonishingly finding several black muzzles pointed at his head, a dignified man standing in front of him.

Meanwhile, Lin Mu and Man Luo had been engrossed in the Korean dramas, forgetting to use his Seventh Sense to sense outside danger. What bad luck, letting the wolf in, but Lin Mu wasn’t too scared.

"Heh, I’m not a terrorist group, is there really a need for such a big show?" Lin Mu chuckled, waving his hand.

"Listen up inside, I’m Liu Yiwei, Chief of the Haidian District Public Security Bureau. I have gathered the relevant information about your assault on the police this morning, so I’m sorry, Mr. Lin, I’ll have to take you back to the police station now. Do you have any objections?" The chief asked.

"Wow, I didn’t expect to have such influence! Even the chief of Haidian District has come in person to support us, like I’d have any reason not to go." Lin Mu chuckled.

"Alright then, let’s go." Liu Yiwei said.

"I don’t mind going, but there’s no need to point guns at my head, right? What if one accidentally goes off? Plus, if I wanted to run, your guns probably wouldn’t do much good anyway?" Lin Mu smiled and said.

Liu Yiwei pondered for a moment, signaled his men with a glance. Somewhat aware of Lin Mu’s capabilities, based on the reports, a few guns pointed at him wouldn’t be much use; his methods are absolutely terrifying.

"Put away the guns," Liu Yiwei told the few accompanying officers.

The officers nodded and put away their pistols but still watched Lin Mu warily, as in their eyes, he was a dangerous figure, even more dangerous than a violent criminal!

"Girl, you stay at the hotel, I’ll go with them for a bit." Lin Mu said to Man Luo as she walked out.

Man Luo looked at Lin Mu and said, "No, I’ll go with you."

"No need, don’t worry, I assure you nothing will happen." Lin Mu waved.

Man Luo thought for a moment, then nodded, "Alright, be careful."

"Heh, don’t worry, with a beautiful wife like you at home, I’d naturally hurry back. Okay, see you later!"

After bidding farewell to Man Luo, Lin Mu left the hotel with Liu Yiwei, the Haidian District Public Security Bureau chief. After a short walk, they arrived at Haidian District Police Station. As soon as they got out of the car, a man in his forties suddenly approached and threw a punch at Lin Mu without a word.

Lin Mu obviously wouldn’t just stand there and take it. He reached out, caught the incoming fist, and then twisted it down, executing a perfect small joint lock!

The next second, "Aaah..." a scream echoed, the middle-aged man cried out and fell to the ground.

"Captain Deng, what are you doing?" Liu Yiwei, who got out of the car after seeing the situation, barked.

This middle-aged man was none other than Deng Yantao, the team captain of Haidian District’s security team, and also the father of Deng Chao, who Lin Mu had thrashed into a pulp.
