The Super Bodyguard of the Beautiful CEO
Chapter 1103 - 1118: Collusion
"Master Jin, don’t go back tonight, stay here with me." Mei Niang’s voice was sweet and filled with femininity.
"Alright, Master Jin will stay here tonight and take care of you, my little beauty." Jinye chuckled, then pressed Mei Niang down onto the sofa.
"Master Jin, you’re so impatient, carry me to the bedroom." Mei Niang said flirtatiously.
"Can’t wait, right here, change of scene, change of mood, I prefer to battle on the office sofa." Jinye laughed, stripping Mei Niang’s clothes off.
But just then, Jinye’s phone rang again.
"Damn it, who the hell is calling now? They must have a death wish!" Jinye cursed and hung up the phone, continuing to get intimate with Mei Niang.
After a few seconds, the phone rang again.
"Damn it, Chengzai’s having issues!" Jinye cursed again, hung up the phone, and continued getting intimate with Mei Niang.
The phone kept ringing incessantly, and eventually, Jinye simply ignored it. His gate of desire was fully opened, unstoppable.
Jinye embraced Mei Niang, kissing passionately, while the phone rang again and again. It seemed like it wouldn’t stop unless answered.
Mei Niang pushed Jinye and said, "Master Jin, answer the phone. It might be something important. We’re not in a hurry; we have all night, we can take our time." 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Jinye nodded. The constant ringing was spoiling the mood, so he nodded and picked up the phone.
"Hello, Chengzai, what’s up?" Jinye’s tone was harsh. This guy interrupted his good time, which made Jinye quite annoyed.
Chengzai’s voice was urgent as he quickly said, "Master Jin, something’s wrong, Yitian and his people have all been killed."
"What?" Jinye’s eyes widened with rage upon hearing this. "Who did it? When did it happen?"
"Just now, I just got the news." Chengzai said.
"Where are you now?"
"I’m at the Imperial Hotel."
"Alright, wait for me there, I’ll come over and check." Jinye said.
"Okay Master Jin, I’ll wait for you."
After hanging up, Jinye quickly got dressed, his previous desire was completely gone. Chengzai’s news was a huge blow to Jinye, especially since it involved the DNA-catalyzing enzyme modification.
"Master Jin, what’s wrong?" Mei Niang asked as she saw Jinye’s urgency.
"Something big happened, Yitian has been taken out." Jinye said while putting on his clothes.
"Yitian is dead? Who did it?" Mei Niang said in a surprised tone, but she quickly connected the dots to Lin Mu, including Yamamoto. Mei Niang had a hunch it was Lin Mu, although she knew it in her heart, she wouldn’t say it out loud. If things got tangled up, she’d find it hard to disentangle herself.
"Hmm, seems like the hidden agitator is playing hard this time, obviously targeting the catalytic enzyme, damn it." Jinye cursed. In less than an hour, Yamamoto and Yitian both died sequentially, which struck Jinye significantly.
Jinye, being an old hand in the underworld, knew the people behind weren’t targeting him, but the DNA-catalyzing enzyme. Clearly, they were aware of its existence, and their goal was to destroy all of his enzymes, otherwise they wouldn’t target Yamamoto and Yitian.
And the DNA-catalyzing enzyme was Jinye’s trump card; destroying it equated to cutting half his strength. Unmistakably, Jinye dared to be so rampant because of the backing of the DNA-catalyzing enzyme.
"Master Jin, are you going there now?" Mei Niang asked.
"Yes, need to check it out. It’s not a small matter. Their next move is likely against me, so I must go." Jinye nodded and said.
"What if they attack you in the dark?"
"Humph, they don’t have the guts for that. Don’t worry, since they first attacked Yamamoto and Yitian, it’s not suitable for them to attack me for now. Plus, I have my strategies, you stay here." Jinye said.
"Alright, Master Jin, be careful." Mei Niang cautioned.
"Got it." Jinye replied, tucked a pistol at his waist, and left the office.
Ten minutes later, about six or seven extended Range Rovers stopped at the entrance of the Imperial Hotel. These Rovers were all the same bulletproof model and were all Jinye’s rides. Jinye, being a cunning figure, knew that with his current status, he was like the Emperor of Henan, having defeated many opponents throughout his life, hence many enemies.
To speak of enemies, you could easily pull out a bunch. For safety, whenever he traveled, Jinye would drive out several Rovers. This way, even if someone wanted to attack him, it would be hard to determine which car he was in.
The vehicles halted at the hotel entrance, doors swung open, and a group of men in black stood in a circle guarding the center vehicle. The center vehicle’s door opened slowly, and Jinye stepped out, escorted by bodyguards into the hotel.
By now, the hotel was sealed by police, prohibiting any people from entering or leaving. However, Jinye’s special status granted him respect, even from the police, hence entering without obstruction.
Jinye entered the elevator, heading straight to the twentieth floor, where several cops were surveying the scene.
"Master Jin is here." Chengzai noticed his boss’s arrival and immediately went to greet him.
Jinye nodded, "What’s the situation?"
"The police are investigating, Officer Liu is also here." Chengzai explained.
Jinye nodded and went forward, "Officer Liu, thank you for your hard work."
Liu Dacheng, the captain of the Jinniu District Criminal Police Brigade, turned around and shook hands with Jinye, "Hello, Boss Jin."
Jinye nodded, pulled Liu Dacheng aside, and asked, "Any leads?"
In reality, Liu Dacheng and Jinye’s relationship was quite notable; though they seemed unconnected publicly, they had numerous dealings privately. In this society today, it’s no longer a secret that officials and merchants are in cahoots. Without police interventions behind the scenes, Jinye wouldn’t manage to brazenly run an illicit chemical factory.
Thus, Jinye’s ability to rampage through Zhengzhou, wielding influence in both black and white worlds, attributed to his deep-rooted official connections.
"Boss Jin, no leads yet, but my presumption is that these individuals were mutually homicidal!" Liu Dacheng assumed intelligently, reckoning: "Boss Jin, look, this person seems to have overdosed on some stimulant and died, but prior to dying, exhibited rabid behavior, hence quarreled with the other two. Consequently, the other two fiercely killed him; in the brawl, one died while the other stabbed himself, committing suicide from guilt."
