The Super Bodyguard of the Beautiful CEO
Chapter 1155 - 1170: Eliminate All Witnesses
Lin Mu gasped, kneading his waist, then followed along. The two slipped to the pool, where Man Luo went into the water, and Lin Mu followed suit.
As expected, Man Luo’s arrival, though dressed rather low-key, still drew plenty of male attention.
Despite many striking women at the pool, Man Luo’s appearance made the others immediately fade away in comparison; indeed, lining them up would be unimpressive alongside her stunning beauty and aura.
Undoubtedly, all the males at the pool, especially those who came to ogle women, stared intensely at Man Luo, entranced.
Man Luo now seemed like a fairy descending to the mortal world, especially draped in swimwear, fueling the males’ primal instincts.
Some males standing by the pool even unconsciously covered themselves, jumping into the water as certain parts of their anatomy gave away.
Lin Mu, of course, chose to ignore this; Man Luo was his, leaving other men frustrated as they couldn’t touch, let alone admire her up close.
"You men are really up to no good." Man Luo could feel their fiery gazes.
"Haha, it just shows you’re irresistible." Lin Mu chuckled.
"Oh, spare me." Man Luo sighed in resignation.
"How about a lap around the pool, miss?" Lin Mu suggested.
"No thanks, I don’t want to be the center of attention. Standing here is enough; if I swim, everyone will be gawking at me like I’m a spectacle." Man Luo declined with a wave.
Lin Mu nodded, "True, let’s just enjoy the shallow end then."
"Okay," Man Luo nodded in agreement.
Lin Mu and Man Luo stayed in the shallow end, where mostly beginners lingered, while adept swimmers were in the deep end; with Man Luo there, Lin Mu naturally kept her company.
Lin Mu wasn’t here to swim but to admire Man Luo. Comparatively, no other pool beauty could hold a candle to her, so Lin Mu’s eyes were solely on her.
Meanwhile, two thousand miles away in a suburban area of Beijing, at the Lin Family Mansion, which served as the Iron Blood Corps’ headquarters, Iron Blood sat calmly in a boss chair, listening to reports.
"Boss, news from Zhengzhou came in."
"Hmm, was the task completed?" Iron Blood asked, cigar in hand.
Iron Hand hesitated momentarily, "Our men perished, including Lu Quansheng and others."
Smash... Iron Blood slammed the coffee table in front, eyes wide, face tensed, "All dead?"
"All our men died; Lin Mu is indeed formidable, not even a submachine gun could take him down." Iron Hand remarked watching Iron Blood’s expression.
"Useless bunch." Iron Blood cursed as his face twitched.
"Boss, it was our error underestimating Lin Mu; please instruct what we should do next?" Iron Hand asked tentatively.
Iron Blood pondered, then slowly replied, "We’ll put Lin Mu aside for now."
"Not dealing with Lin Mu?" Iron Hand inquired.
"It’s not the time yet, he’s eluded us repeatedly; the DNA-catalyzing enzyme matter is crucial, secure it first; Lin Mu can be handled later." Iron Blood stated through a haze of smoke.
"What plans do you have, boss?" Iron Hand questioned.
"Prepare our men to act against Jinye, aim to seize all his DNA drugs; remember, it’s the catalytic enzyme we want, clear?" Iron Blood shot a glare at Iron Hand.
Iron Hand nodded, "Understood, boss; I’ll organize the operation immediately."
"Yeah, go ahead." Iron Blood gestured dismissively.
Iron Hand acknowledged, turning to leave.
"Wait." Iron Blood called out.
Just as Iron Hand opened the door, he quickly turned back, "Boss, anything else?"
"Last night’s situation critical to us, no loose ends; eliminate Zhou Jiande as well." Iron Blood puffed smoke, enunciating.
"Yes." Iron Hand complied.
Meanwhile, shifting to an apartment in Zhengzhou at Zhou Jiande’s residence, last night’s incident had him shaken to the core; fear before death was worse than death itself.
He knew the authorities wouldn’t touch it, protected by the Iron Blood Corps from behind the scenes, yet feared their retaliatory threat.
All witnesses were silenced, leaving him the sole survivor, knowing the Iron Blood Corps would come for him; Zhou Jiande wasn’t foolish; aware of his predicament, he lived cautiously, seldom stepping out.
To minimize outings, Zhou Jiande stocked up on groceries, planning to cook home meals to avoid leaving.
Having returned from the market, he carried his purchases upstairs; two men in black coats and sunglasses followed.
The two sunglasses men moved deftly, invisible to Zhou Jiande’s limited skills; arriving at his apartment, he glanced downstairs and, finding no anomaly, unlocked the door in relief.
Upon entering, Zhou Jiande hurriedly shut the door and stood still, eyes fixed on the sofa in the living room; two short-haired youths already seated, fiddling with knives bouncing in their palms.
