The Triplet Alphas' Secret Mate
Chapter 198: Refused
Scarlett’s POV
I had seen enough. The sight of the brothers turning into feral monsters, ready to slaughter their own flesh and blood over me, made something click deep inside my soul. The fear was completely gone, replaced by a cold, burning fury. I was done being a prize they could carve up. I was done being the cause of their destruction.
I took a sharp step forward, pulling away from the wall. I didn’t hide, and I didn’t cower. I marched right into the center of the room, throwing myself directly into the crossfire of their suffocating Alpha pressure.
"Stop it!" I screamed, my voice cutting through the air like a silver blade. "All of you, step the fuck back right now!"
The power in my voice made Liam freeze mid-step. Leonard paused, his claws hovering inches from Leo’s throat, and Leo snapped his head toward me, his fangs still bared. For a second, the room went completely still, the three of them staring at me in shock.
"You want to talk about rejections?" I snarled, my eyes flashing as I looked at each of them. "You want to demand who belongs to whom? Let me remind you of something. You men are married! I don’t give a damn if the marks are fake or real—you chose your path three years ago!"
Liam opened his mouth to speak, his gold eyes shifting with panic. "Scarlett, we only—"
"I don’t care!" I shouted, cutting him off completely. I stood tall, my chest heaving as I glared at the three supreme Alphas. "I belong to no one. Not to Liam, not to Leonard, and not to Leo. You will not fight over me like dogs in this house, and you will not force each other to break your bonds."
I took a deep breath, letting my own wolf’s aura rise up, cold and unbreakable.
"If any of you sheds another drop of brotherly blood today," I threatened, my voice dropping into a deadly whisper that made their wolves shiver, "or if any of you tries to force a rejection out of the other, I will solve this problem myself. I will reject all three of you right here, right now."
"Scarlett, no..." Leonard whispered, his hands trembling as he loosened his grip on Leo’s shirt.
"Don’t you dare say that," Liam breathed, his possessive rage instantly turning into pure terror. He took a small, careful step back, his hands raised in surrender.
"I mean it," I said, standing my ground, looking every bit like the Alpha female I was born to be. "The next person to growl at his brother loses me forever. Now, lower your fangs and back away."
The silence that followed was heavy and suffocating. The three brothers stood frozen, their terrifying auras slowly shrinking back into their bodies as they forced themselves to calm down. Leo’s fangs retracted first, his breathing ragged as he stepped completely away from Leonard. Leonard dropped his hands to his sides, his shoulders slumping as he stared at me with wide, fearful eyes. Even Liam, who usually never backed down from anyone, took a deep breath and clenched his jaw, keeping his gaze locked on mine without making a single sound.
I kept my glare hard, making sure they knew I wasn’t backing down. Once I was sure they were completely under control, I looked over at the corner of the room.
Chen was still standing there, completely stunned and dumbfounded. His eyes darted between the dead bodies, the broken furniture, and the three giant men who had just been ready to murder each other. He looked like his entire understanding of the world had been shattered in a matter of minutes.
"Chen," I said, my voice softening just a little bit as I looked at him. "I am so sorry for bringing this nightmare to your home."
He just nodded slowly, his face still pale, completely terrified to speak. He looked at me with a mix of fear and confusion, realizing that the quiet girl he had known for months was something far more dangerous than he could have ever imagined.
I turned back to the triplets, my expression hardening again. "You men can go now. Like I said, I am not going back with you."
"No, Scarlett," Liam said immediately, his voice tight as he tried to keep his temper under control. "That is not happening. You just saw what happened here. You are in extreme danger."
"I can take care of myself, Liam!" I snapped, crossing my arms over my chest. "I’ve been doing it for five years without any of you."
"By hiding?" Leonard argued, taking a cautious step forward, his voice full of desperate emotion. "Scar, they found you! They tracked you. The only safe place in the entire world for you right now is the Full Moon Pack. Our territory is heavily guarded. No assassin can get past our borders."
"I am not going back to a place where I am treated like property!" I shouted back, my anger flaring. "I built a life here. I have an art studio, I have friends, I have peace! I am not giving all of that up just to lock myself in your packhouse."
"Peace?" Leo chimed in, his voice frustrated as he pointed to the blood-stained floorboards. "Look around you, Scar! This isn’t peace. If we hadn’t arrived exactly when we did, you would be dead right now. Your human security is useless against rogue werewolves."
"And whose fault is that?!" I threw my hands up in the air, glaring at them. "I was perfectly hidden until you three decided to hunt me down! You brought your chaos across the ocean, and now you want me to just run back to the very place I fled from?"
"Scar, don’t be difficult!" Liam roared back, though he quickly checked his volume, remembering my threat. "We are not leaving you here to be slaughtered, Scarlett. Argue all you want, but we are not moving an inch without you."
