The Triplet Alphas' Secret Mate
Chapter 200: Back
Scarlett’s POV
The wheels of the private jet finally hit the tarmac of the Full Moon Pack’s private runway with a heavy thud. The familiar, chilly mountain air crept into the cabin the second the doors swung open.
We had arrived.
I took a deep breath, composing myself as I stood up from my seat. Liam was already on his feet, his massive frame blocking the aisle as he waited for me. The moment I stepped near him, his hand shot out, his fingers wrapping firmly around my wrist. His grip wasn’t painful, but it was entirely unyielding.
"I’ve got her," Liam growled lowly, a warning aimed at his brothers as he pulled me close to his side.
Leonard didn’t argue, but his eyes flared a dangerous gold as he stepped off the plane right behind us. His jaw was clenched tight, his gaze sweeping the tree line like he expected an ambush at any second. Leo followed quietly at the back of the group, his face completely pale and unreadable, his eyes fixed firmly on the ground. The panic radiating off him was still pulsing through the air, but he was doing his best to swallow it down.
Waiting for us on the runway were three sleek SUV pack vehicles, surrounded by a dozen elite pack warriors. The moment they saw us descend the stairs, the warriors bowed their heads in deep respect.
I yanked my hand out of Liam’s tight grip, giving him a cold glare. I didn’t say a word as I walked straight past him and climbed into the back of the waiting SUV.
The triplets piled in right after me, completely taking over the space. Liam slid into the seat on my right, while Leonard sat directly on my left, crowding me between their massive, warm bodies. Leo sat in the front passenger seat next to the driver, his eyes fixed on the road ahead.
The drive was incredibly intense. It was only a short five-minute drive to the main mansion, but nobody spoke. The only sound was the heavy breathing of the two Alphas guarding my sides.
When the familiar, giant iron gates of the Full Moon Pack appeared in front of me, I swallowed hard and forced my body to relax. I took a deep breath and reminded myself of who I was now. The Scarlett who had run away from here five years ago was completely different from the Scarlett standing here today. I wasn’t that scared, helpless girl anymore.
The SUV came to a halt, and the doors opened. We stepped down from the car, and my eyes instantly locked onto the figures walking out of the mansion’s front doors.
Ma’am Olivia and Sir Louis—the triplets’ parents—were walking out, and right beside them was my father.
The exact moment their eyes landed on me, their faces went completely blank. Absolute shock and disbelief froze them right in their tracks. My father was the first to snap out of it. He took a few hurried steps toward me, his lips parting as if he wanted to speak, but I didn’t give him the chance. I completely ignored his existence, turning my back on him to look directly at the triplets.
"Where is my room?" I asked, my voice flat and emotionless.
"We will show you," Liam replied immediately.
They led the way inside the mansion, their large bodies shielding me from the lingering stares of our parents. Walking through the front doors, I looked around the grand hallways. Not much had changed over the last five years, except for a few minor renovations and some new, modern interiors.
They led me up the grand staircase and down the long hallway until we stopped in front of a large guest room. Liam reached out and opened the door.
I stepped inside the room, but the moment I turned around, I realized all three of them had followed me right inside. They closed the door behind them, instantly suffocating the space with their heavy, overpowering Alpha presence.
I stood in the middle of the room, crossing my arms over my chest, and just stared at them while they stood there, refusing to leave my side.
"You can leave now," I said, my voice completely flat as I looked at the three of them. "I want to rest."
None of them moved. They stood lined up by the door like three massive, immovable walls, blocking my only exit. The raw, possessive energy rolling off them was making the air in the guest room completely thick and hard to breathe.
Liam was the first to step forward, his green eyes burning with intense determination. "Scarlett, we will look into who is behind those men," he said, his deep voice leaving no room for argument. "We will find whoever ordered that hit in Shanghai and tear them apart."
I let out a cold, bitter laugh, refusing to be handled like some fragile glass doll. "You don’t have to," I said sharply. "I can take care of myself. I am not your responsibility."
Liam’s jaw clenched, and Leonard took a desperate step forward, looking like he wanted to wrap me in his arms and never let go.
"Please," I added, my tone dropping into a hard, unyielding demand. "Just give me some space."
They looked like they wanted to argue. The possessive Alphas in them clearly hated the idea of walking out that door and leaving their fated mate alone. They stood their ground for a tense, agonizing moment, their chests heaving. But right before they could protest, I narrowed my eyes and pointed a warning finger at them.
"And don’t you dare fight each other," I snarled, referencing the chaos back in China. "I mean it. If I hear so much as a single growl out here in the hallway, I will make good on my promise."
The triplets collectively sighed, their powerful shoulders dropping slightly. Knowing they had no choice but to respect my boundaries for now, they slowly turned and walked away. The heavy door clicked shut behind them, finally leaving me in total silence.
The moment the lock clicked, the thick, suffocating weight of their Alpha pheromones cleared out, allowing me to finally draw a proper breath. I sank onto the edge of the mattress, burying my face in my hands.
Suddenly, my wolf’s voice echoed sharply through my mind.
This isn’t good, Scar, she spoke, her tone heavy with anxiety. The block is broken, and they never actually marked those other women. The prophecy is still on... what do we do?
A heavy shudder ran down my spine. She was completely right. My five years of running, the isolation, the spell—none of it mattered. The curse that promised destruction if we stayed together was still hanging directly over our heads like a guillotine.
Before I could even answer my wolf, a sharp, sudden knock landed on the wooden door.
I sat up straight, preparing to demand who it was. But before I could even open my mouth to ask the person in, the handle turned, and Ma’am Olivia walked straight into the room.
