The Triplets My Ex Never Knew About
Chapter 97: Noelle Lockwood, Take Your Giant Baby Sister to the Hospital
Estelle Lockwood and Vivian Lowell entered a women’s clothing boutique. The moment a sales associate saw Estelle’s attire and bearing, she knew she was a major client and hurriedly called the store manager down.
The store manager hovered around Estelle, smiling. "Miss, we have many clothes in the store that would suit your figure and temperament. What style do you prefer? I’ll have someone get you some coffee, and you can take your time browsing."
The sight stung Vivian Lowell’s eyes.
’These sales clerks are so blind!’ she thought. ’Fawning over Yara and completely ignoring me!’
A small smile played on Estelle Lockwood’s lips as she said nonchalantly, "I’m not buying clothes. She is. Why don’t you show her around?"
Only then did the store manager turn to look at Vivian Lowell.
Although Vivian’s aura was a far cry from her companion’s, they appeared to be friends, so the manager didn’t dare to be neglectful. He personally led Vivian on a tour of the store.
In recent years, the Lowell Family had prospered thanks to Rose Lowell, so Vivian was accustomed to only the best in food and clothing. She naturally looked down on ordinary clothes. Besides, her goal was to make Yara Lockwood bleed money, so she grabbed every single dress that caught her eye.
Estelle glanced at the price tags. Each dress was around two hundred thousand yuan. Vivian had grabbed a dozen or so. ’She’s certainly got guts,’ Estelle thought.
Vivian’s hint was anything but subtle. "Yara, I think these are all pretty nice. What do you say?"
Cradling her coffee, Estelle gave the dresses a sidelong glance. "Mm, they are nice. If you like them, have them wrapped up."
’Noelle was right,’ Vivian sneered inwardly. ’Yara is a complete idiot, so easy to manipulate.’
With that thought, Vivian Lowell showed no restraint, waving a hand grandly. "Wrap all of them up for me!"
The store manager was beaming. He personally instructed his staff to pack the items, then respectfully presented the card machine to Vivian Lowell.
Vivian looked directly at Estelle Lockwood, her meaning obvious: pay for it.
However, Estelle just kept sipping her coffee, not even sparing her a glance.
The scene became awkward. The store manager cleared his throat and prompted, "Miss, the total is 3.15 million. If you could please swipe your card."
Vivian whirled around in anger, urging impatiently, "Yara, what are you waiting for? Pay!"
’How dare Yara not offer to pay immediately and make me lose face? I’ll teach this bitch a lesson later!’
Estelle had been waiting for this moment. Resting her chin on her hand, she feigned confusion and asked in surprise:
"Hm? I didn’t buy anything. Why should I be the one to pay?"
The store fell silent. Vivian felt as if she’d been struck by lightning and shrieked, "Of course you’re paying! Why would you even come to a mall if you don’t have money!"
Estelle set down her coffee, her expression puzzled. "You were the one who said you wanted to look at clothes, so I came along. I’m not buying anything. Vivian, don’t tell me you don’t have the money?"
At these words, the store manager’s face instantly soured, and his gaze toward Vivian Lowell filled with displeasure.
’She didn’t even look at the prices when she was picking out dresses, and now she says she has no money? Does she think I have nothing better to do than play house with this young miss?!’
Vivian Lowell’s face flushed red. "I don’t care! You’re my friend, and you said you were getting me a gift! You have to pay for me!"
Then, she spun and roared at the store manager, acting completely justified. "This woman said she was buying me something and told me to pick whatever I wanted! That’s why I’m here! Go get the money from her!"
For a moment, the store manager was unsure of what to do.
Estelle Lockwood’s eyes glinted. "Vivian Lowell, I thought of you as a friend. What do you see me as? A walking ATM? I said I’d get you a welcome gift, but I never said it would be a gift worth over three million."
"Besides, we only became ’friends’ today. Who asks someone they just met to spend three million on them? I don’t think you ever considered me a friend. In that case, let’s just forget it."
Estelle made a move to leave, and Vivian nearly choked.
She didn’t have time to process the deeper meaning of Estelle’s words. All she knew was that her ATM was walking away. Furious and flustered, she slammed the coffee cup off the table, pointed at Estelle’s face, and lunged forward, roaring like a shrew:
"I lowered myself to be friends with a shady bitch like you, and what is this? You dare to look down on me? I told you to pay, and you refuse?! Huh?! Who the hell do you think you are!"
Estelle raised her eyes, her gaze cold. "Why don’t you ask everyone here and see if a single person thinks we’re friends?"
The other customers all shook their heads.
Friends? They looked more like enemies. This woman had bought over three million worth of stuff for herself and expected a friend she’d known for a day to pay. When the friend refused, she started screaming and calling her a bitch.
It made no sense.
Vivian Lowell was still fuming. "You’re asking for it—"
"Vivian!" a woman’s voice suddenly called out.
Noelle Lockwood approached. Her expression was gentle and her smile was warm, as if she had no idea what was going on. "What took you so long?"
It was as if Vivian had finally found her backup. "Noelle! This bitch is bullying me!"
Noelle pretended to have just noticed Estelle. "Oh, Yara, you’re here too. Did something happen?"
Noelle Lockwood’s appearance instantly changed the atmosphere in the store.
The reason was simple: she was the Sloan Family’s intended daughter-in-law. If she chose to protect Vivian Lowell, then...
Estelle didn’t even bother to look at her. "Miss Lockwood, if you have time to stand here asking me what happened, you’d be better off taking your giant baby of a sister to the hospital for a check-up. See if she’s a lost cause yet."
Vivian exploded with rage again. "Who are you calling a giant baby!"
"Whoever buys things and expects someone else to pay for them," Estelle said languidly.
Vivian let out a shriek and lunged forward, trying to scratch Estelle’s face.
Noelle Lockwood bit her lower lip, her expression innocent. "Yara, how could you say that? Vivian only asked you to pay because she truly thinks of you as a friend—"
Suddenly, an arrogant female voice blared from Estelle Lockwood’s phone.
Noelle, that bitch doesn’t have a single friend. If I become her friend, she’ll be wrapped around my little finger!
It was, quite clearly, a recording!
Vivian’s face changed, but before she could stop it, the recording continued to play.
Noelle, I’m just helping you get revenge. You just wait, I’ll make that bitch humiliate herself in no time!
Our Noelle is the future Mrs. Sloan! Who the hell does Yara think she is, daring to disrespect you!
Another female voice, tinged with feigned resignation, sounded from the recording: Vivian... forget it. Don’t go too far...
The entire store fell deathly silent.
Estelle put her phone away and slowly raised an eyebrow. "Noelle Lockwood, still playing innocent? What, you didn’t know Vivian’s purpose for ’befriending’ me?"
The way the people around them looked at Noelle Lockwood changed.
Noelle’s face went pale, her expression freezing. ’How could Yara have a recording!’
She immediately put on an innocent act, shaking her head helplessly. "I didn’t..."
"AHH!! Bitch, I’ll kill you!!"
Vivian suddenly shrieked. As if triggered by something, she lunged forward, swinging her hand for a vicious slap!
Estelle sidestepped, and Vivian lunged at empty air, losing her balance and tumbling to the ground—
CRASH! Afraid of falling, Vivian instinctively grabbed onto something nearby. With a loud RIP, she tore the pure white wedding dress on display, sending diamonds scattering across the floor.
Liam Sloan, watching from a short distance away, was stunned by the scene. He swallowed hard. "Bro... your sister-in-law, she’s... kinda fierce."
