The True Heiress is the Reserved Fiancé's Exclusive Memory
Chapter 822 - 847: So Awkward (3)
"What exactly do you mean?" Windsor Myres looked at her, her face changing.
Mia Ginger said softly, "I just suddenly thought about this, not that I particularly wanted to say anything. I just feel that sometimes love doesn’t necessarily suffice, especially when your love is like this. When you step out of this campus and enter society, what most people face is marriage, not love. For various reasons, there are simply too many couples who break up right after graduation. There’s a viewpoint in Buddhism that love becomes harmful craving not because of ’love,’ but because of ’craving,’ meaning the possessiveness centered around the delusional self and what is mine. To put it bluntly, it’s selfishness, which often leads to the failure of love and marriage. Qualities like compassion, equality, and selflessness can make love last long and warm."
She spoke with a bit of depth, and Windsor Myres frowned, saying, "You didn’t use to talk like this."
"How I speak doesn’t matter. This viewpoint is something I came across while I was bored in the hospital. I just suddenly felt I should convey it to you; otherwise, you would only drift further away from Camden River."
"Am I supposed to thank you for this?" Windsor Myres still frowned.
"As you please, it doesn’t matter if you thank me or not, but," Mia Ginger looked at her seriously, "Without you, Camden River might just find someone even more excellent and better, even without Alice Summer. Given his situation, there will still be Alice Miller and Alice King. I can guarantee, each of them will admire, adore, obey, and care for him, giving him the best love. But you, in this lifetime, probably won’t meet another man as good as him—so honest, kind, loyal, responsible, ambitious, and tolerant."
"He won’t meet another Windsor Myres either," Windsor Myres pressed her lips tightly.
"After experiencing so much, you chose Camden River, and having experienced you, maybe Camden River will understand how good others are. Your sequences are different." Mia Ginger sighed, "I don’t want to say any more. Just think it over; maybe after enough time has passed, you’ll see how tired he is."
Windsor Myres’s tone was stiff, "You can see it?"
"An onlooker sees clearly," Mia Ginger shrugged, looking at her.
Windsor Myres couldn’t help but clench the hand hanging by her side and turned to leave the steps without saying another word.
Mia Ginger watched her back, and without delay, went to her class.
The class bell had already rung. When she entered, Professor Lee had already started the lecture, giving her a tolerant glance as he looked up.
Mia Ginger gave him a small, apologetic smile with a hint of ingratiation.
The old teacher then ignored her, continuing with the lecture.
Mia Ginger let out a small sigh of relief, quietly sitting back at her seat.
The classmate who used to sit beside her was gone, replaced by Alice Summer.
Mia Ginger was momentarily stunned, smiled at her, and then said nothing more, spreading her textbook open on the desk.
Alice Summer wrote a line in her notebook and pushed it over, "Thank you for helping Camden River in the last class."
"You’re welcome, it’s what friends are for," Mia Ginger also wrote back with a pen.
Alice Summer continued, "He seemed unhappy when he came in just now. Did he get into another fight with Windsor Myres outside?"
Mia Ginger asked her, "Have you resolved your issue?"
Alice Summer was momentarily stunned, taking a while to realize she was asking about the lawsuit. Frowning, she wrote, "Not yet, the old lady hasn’t woken up. The situation is at a standstill, and my parents are still waiting for the court session."
"Don’t worry too much."
"Hmm."
Alice Summer, distracted by the change of topic, did not write further. She quietly said, "I didn’t mean anything. I just couldn’t help but ask."
