The Unlimited Ascension: Reborn as an Extra
Chapter 2: The Hellhole
The world was gray, and the sky was shadowed with dark clouds. Purple lightning struck the ground randomly, destroying anything in its path.
*BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!*
Thundering sounds echoed through the surroundings. Debris and fog blanketed the ground. There was no sense of life as far as the eye could see.
Suddenly, a figure materialized in the dark world. A boy with pitch-black hair and eyes was summoned into the realm.
Alen looked at his surroundings; he couldn’t determine where he was.
"Is this hell? Did God send me here because I murdered those men? That’s possible..."
"But what am I going to do now? If I don’t move, I will die from the lightning."
"Wait...? I’m already dead, so why should I even worry about dying?"
Alen muttered to himself as his gaze fell on the sky. It was filled with gray clouds, and the ground was constantly smashed by purple lightning. There were several small to large holes in the ground filled with purple water that smelled like filthy poison.
It was so disgusting that Alen could barely hold it back, almost throwing up whatever he had left inside him.
*Cough!* *Cough!*
As he finally managed to calm down, he looked at his clothes.
They were different from what he had been wearing. He now had on a clean white shirt and pants, along with a plain jacket. His build also looked average compared to his malnourished body back on Earth.
He looked everywhere. He couldn’t comprehend what had happened.
He suddenly remembered he had heard a voice before he died. He had ignored it at the time; he wasn’t conscious enough to listen as his life was slipping away.
As he tried to remember what that sound was, the voice suddenly returned. A screen materialized in front of him.

Alen felt a sudden, unknown energy seep into his body. He felt several times lighter than before. All of his mental exhaustion vanished.
He felt a sudden rush of energy that he hadn’t felt since he was a child.
He read the several notifications simultaneously. He felt extremely confused, but he realized that he hadn’t died. At least, not yet.
He finally understood that the energy making him feel lighter was none other than ’Mana’, one of the natural ’orders’ of the world that had recognized him as compatible enough to Awaken.
He noticed the title. It was proof that he was not from this world.
’But how did i got here? Wasn’t i already dead?’
But no one was present innorder to answer him his questions.
When his eyes finally fell on the passive skill he had received, he found it completely bizarre. It didn’t explain anything. There wasn’t any useful information to tell him what the skill was or what it could do.
But Alen dismissed it for now.
He was used to reading webnovels and playing games when he was a child. A sudden curiosity spiked within him, and he uttered, "Status Window... Open."

As he saw his status window, awe dawned on him. He was actually not in his own world anymore. He had been summoned to some unknown, forgotten place.
He then dismissed the interface he have to move fast or he will be attacked by the Thunder. Alen started walking.
As he walked, he saw several patches of grotesque moss and weird organisms on the ground. There were also weird reptiles having a wing flying in the air. The air feel dense with the foul smell of the water.
He tried to dodge the creatures, as he was not found of wanting to get any closer to such disgusting beings. Suddenly, lightning sparked right beside him.
*BOOOOM!*
Alen was launched several feet away by the sudden impact of the lightning.
"Ughh!... What the fu*k was that?"
He looked at the ground where he had been standing just a second ago. A large, several-meter-wide crater had formed around it. The ground was completely wiped clean of rocks and debris.
Cold sweat clung to Alen’s face as he saw the impact. If he had gotten hit, he would have died instantly, even as an Awakened.
*BOOM!* *BOOM!*
He started to run. More lightning fell along the way. He dodged a few strikes, running until his lungs burned.
He suddenly felt a chill run down his spine. Unconsciously, his legs moved with inhuman speed, launching him into the distance. Lightning fell on his previous spot just milliseconds later.
*BOOOM!*
The ground shattered, debris fly around.
*Haah...* *Haah...* *Haah..."
Alen gasped for air. Sweat dripped from his forehead. He then started running again, desperately wanting to leave this literal ’hellhole’ that was constantly dropping divine wrath on his head.
"How the hell, am i going to survive this?"
