Adrian had not given her the specific chant for the Dragons. The draconic language was vastly different, relying purely on raw intent and mana projection rather than spoken words.

Serena moved to the third and final circle.

She closed her eyes again. She pushed her weak, F rank mana outward, trying to project her desperate thoughts and intents through the mana.

Adrian watched, fully expecting another failure.

But then the chalk lines began to glow.

A blinding, intense blue light erupted from the stone floor and the runic symbols spun and locked into place.

The prayer actually worked.

Serena sat still in the middle of the circle. Her eyes were shut tight and she was obviously talking to something inside her own head.

Adrian just stood there and watched.

A few seconds passed by before that blinding light finally settled down into a soft pulse. Serena opened her eyes and stared right at him.

"The Dragon calls themselves the Dragon of Prosperity," Serena said, her voice sounding totally hollow. "And they want to talk to you."

Adrian went totally stiff. He just stared at her in dead silence because he definitely didn’t expect this at all.

He knew exactly what he had done. He had used the fake title of "The Blessed of the Goddess of Prosperity" to completely manipulate his citizens, trick the church, and gain upper hand in a lot of conversations. He had basically committed massive religious fraud.

And he originally assumed he was totally safe. Because based on his knowledge from the novel, the Goddess of Prosperity was heavily aligned with the Angelic factions. She was a goddess who never actually interacted with the people on this planet.

He absolutely did not expect a Dragon with the same title.

He did not expect a Dragon of Prosperity to even exist. Because Dragons were not related to the Gods at all. They did not have churches or communication with the divine factions. They were ancient, isolated entities tasked with keeping the fundamental laws and order of the earth in perfect balance.

’Oh my God.’ Adrian panicked internally. ’I am fucked. I am so absolutely fucked.’

Serena scrambled backward. She basically crawled out of the glowing circle and stood up looking completely terrified as she saw Adrian panicking.

Adrian just stayed still for a second. Then he took a really slow, hesitant step toward the circles he had drawn.

"Did this Dragon say anything else?" Adrian asked. His voice was shaking a little bit.

"No," Serena shook her head really fast.

She stared at him as doubt filled her mind. "Lord Adrian... are you actually the blessed of the Goddess of Prosperity?"

Adrian didn’t even answer her. He just looked at her and gave her a completely fake smile instead.

And Serena totally took that as a yes.

Adrian stepped into the glowing ring. He dropped down to his knees and sat exactly where she was just sitting.

Then he closed his eyes. He tried his best to copy the exact same process Serena used to push her mana out.

"Oh great Dragons," Adrian prayed out loud. His voice shook while he pushed his magic into the floor. "I pray to you from the bottom of my heart. Please fill me with your magical blessings."

The chalk circle flashed blindingly bright again.

Adrian felt a violent yank and then a light breeze brushed right against his face. He opened his eyes and he knew immediately that he was not in his basement anymore.

He was sitting right on top of a huge green hill. The wind felt nice and the whole place smelled like fresh rain and blooming flowers.

Bright green grass was all over the place and it felt amazing to just sit there and enjoy the peace.

But he couldn’t ignore the obvious fact that he was totally alone.

There wasn’t a giant monster waiting to crush him to death.

"Uh... Dragon of Prosperity?" Adrian called out and his voice was pretty hesitant. "I thought you wanted to talk?" 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

There was only silence for two whole seconds and then he finally saw it.

Way up in the sky.

A terrifyingly huge Dragon dove straight out of the clouds. It was so massive it actually blocked out the sun and it was flying right at the hill at a crazy speed.

Adrian fell backwards onto the dirt and jis eyes went wide with horror.

But right before the giant dragon crashed into the hill, its body shifted and shrank down fast. The massive monster morphed right into a sleek humanoid shape while still in the air.

The person floated down and landed softly on the grass just a few feet away.

Adrian just stared at her.

It was a woman. She was super tall and she wore these elegant white robes that floated slightly in the breeze. She honestly looked totally human at a first glance.

But Adrian looked a little closer and realized something crazy. She looked exactly like the marble statues of the Goddess of Prosperity from the church. Her face and her posture were almost a perfect match.

Except for her hands.

Thick scales covered her hands and forearms. But they weren’t just one solid color. They were almost see through and they bounced the sunlight around to look like a rainbow.

Adrian sat there in the grass and just kept staring at those scales.

"Wait," Adrian blurted out."The Goddess of Prosperity is actually a Dragon?"

The woman smiled.

"I am the Dragon of Prosperity." she corrected him, "It is you humans who started calling me the Goddess of Prosperity centuries ago. And it does not really change much. Your assumptions about my divine powers are basically the exact same as what I can actually do. What you call me doesn’t change anything."

"Huh..." Adrian blinked. "I see..."

His initial curiosity was satisfied, but then the fear came back.

He immediately scrambled to his knees. He slammed his forehead right down into the grass, bowing as low as physically possible.
