The Villainess Married The Evil CEO - Chapter 152: And Action!
Asher was fuming in anger as his entire aura had cooled down. Even the people standing around him could perceive his emotions. Thus, they all steered clear of him, scooting away and standing on the side.
"Why is he like that?" šÆš§ššš¬ššš£š¤šš®šµ.šš¤š¢
"He has been glaring at Owen..."
"They know one another?"
"No...." Another woman whispered, "I think itās because of a completely different reason altogether...."
Everyone agreed, but no one dared to go and speak to the cold-looking investor of the movie. Even though they liked and wanted to talk to him, none of them wanted to get kicked out of the movie.
Asher knew what they were talking about, but he was too busy glaring at Owen to speak a single word. Thus, he continued to lean against the wall, folding his hand across his chest. His mood was terrible today.
Hah, how happy he had been in the morning to be able to get rid of that damned cold Nicholas! Now, his mood had turned off once again!
Just then, the notification of his phone went off. He pulled it out and looked at the content that Abigail had sent to him.
His eyes widened, but since he was already a CEO and a professional businessman, his facade still continued to look cold and indifferent. Of course, except for a slight furrow of his brows, nothing else happened.
Before he could even put his phone down, he got Nicholasās call. He knew that the woman must have told him about this too. Thus, he picked it up and talked to the man in a low voice,
"Did you get the message?" Nicholas didnāt waste a minute before speaking about it,
"Yes." Asher looked at Rebecca who walked out of the washroom. His eyes squinted. "Donāt worry. Iāll take care of her."
"Donāt do anything for now." Nicholas typed something on the laptop as if he were too busy. "We still donāt have any evidence against the woman. We have to catch her off guard."
"Alright. For now, let Rebecca believe that we donāt know a single thing."
Abigail also walked out of the bathroom looking normal, but Asher knew that her heart must have been terrified. He looked at her worriedly.
Of course, Owen didnāt know a single thing and continued to talk to his cousin about the scene they were going to shoot. He glanced at the woman and frowned upon seeing Abigail looking a little lost.
Something happened?
His brows furrowed, but he ignored this feeling for now and continued to talk.
The scene was finally ready. At this time, everyone was already situated on the tenth floor of the building. Abigail was soon taken in by the make-up artist to give her a good touch-up and get her ready as Lily.
Since the woman had a huge birthmark on her face, the make-up artist took a bit longer than others for this purpose. When everything was finally ready, Abigail walked out. Her expression remained indifferent as she nodded at Rebecca too as if nothing happened.
Of course, why would she ever be sad and tremble in fear upon seeing the woman? She already had her backing in the form of Asher and Nicholas! In her eyes, these men were more powerful than the entire police force! They would surely protect her.
So why should she be worried about her life? They were here to protect her right now. Thus, she threw her worries to the back of her head and smiled at Susan.
"Letās start. Iām ready."
Abigail sat on the patientās bed on the side as Rebecca walked out wearing a doctorās uniform. She took her tools and walked over. Just then, Susan spoke loudly, "And action!"
Rebecca leaned and frowned, looking worried. "Lily, you shouldnāt stay with your family anymore. Every two days, you come here with new injuries. Iām very worried."
Abigail felt sick in her heart upon seeing this woman acting like nothing happened.
Then she said her lines, timidly, "Doctor, please donāt try to help me. I donāt need anyoneās favor."
Her voice was crisp and cold with a touch of indifference, indicating the womanās detachment from everything happening around her. Lily had suffered a lot from her childhood days, and because of her situation, she didnāt trust even the doctor who showed her sympathy.
But at the same time, Lily was also timid, not knowing how to deal with the woman. Thus, her head was lowered as she continued to play with her fingers, trying her best to keep herself calm, but obviously failing in that attempt.
Abigail portrayed that role very well because she knew what it felt like to not trust anyone but still feel too helpless because youāre too weak to even speak up. There would be a pent-up anger in your heart that you canāt vent anywhere.
Maybe thatās why Lily will have a multiple personality disorder.
Rebecca sighed and acted as if she were doing a touch-up on the girlās wounds and said, "Iāll talk to the NGO I know. They can help you and bring you out of your house."
"No!" Abigail acted as Lily and raised her head, looking at the female lead with a trace of fear and anxiety in her eyes. She was obviously more anxious but also frightened of her fate if her family ever found out that she had told others about her situation at home.
She didnāt want to die so soon.
Thus, she became frightened of her fate too.
The female lead frowned, seeing this woman act perfectly. Just then Susanās voice echoed from the back. "Cut!"
The director walked out and sighed. "What happened to you, Rebecca? You have to speak out and try to make her agree to your words. What are you doing? You look more like a newbie than Olivia there."
"Iāll try my best." Rebecca smiled and showed her perfect smile, saying, "Letās try again."
While they were busy, Asher stared at Rebecca with a cold expression on his face. He would have to do something about this lady. Even though he knew he shouldnāt do anything excessive to that woman because they lacked evidence, he could obviously warn this woman to steer clear of Abigail until they finish this movie.
