The Villainess Winning Back Her Beast Husbands
Chapter 300: They Completely Pacified the Devil’s Sea
Aiden Atwood glanced at the group, a smile playing on his lips, though he seemed somewhat unenthusiastic.
"Look here." He tapped his forehead. It was completely bare, with no trace of a Star Pattern.
Aiden Atwood leaned back lazily and gestured with a casual wave of his hand.
A female Beastman kneeling on the floor immediately came forward, obediently beginning to massage his shoulders and neck.
"In the Beastman City-states, as long as a male is talented enough, he has a chance to break through the shackles of his common bloodline."
Aiden Atwood’s eyes narrowed. He didn’t seem to mind explaining things to these country bumpkins, but his tone was tinged with arrogance. "Once a bloodline awakens, it breaks through the Nine-star Extreme Realm and crosses into the Barbarian Tooth Level. Take me, for example. I’m at the Barbarian Tooth Level right now."
"And above the Barbarian Tooth Level, there are the War Pattern Level and the Beast Soul Level."
"As for the level you mentioned, the one the Dragon God is at, hehe... that’s called the Ancestor Spirit Level. But to reach that realm, your ancestors can’t have had a common bloodline. No matter how talented you are, if your bloodline is weak, you’ll never be able to awaken your ancestral veins in your entire lifetime."
As he spoke, Aiden Atwood glanced at the group and shrugged. "A level like the Dragon God’s? Don’t even think about it. If you can break through the Nine-star Extreme Realm and reach the Barbarian Tooth Level in this lifetime, you can dominate a region and become a City-State Commander. That’s more than enough."
His words were laced with a pragmatic contempt, as if mocking the unrealistic ambition Evangeline had voiced.
If everyone could truly become like the Dragon God, the continent would have descended into chaos long ago.
"Then what is this ’Druid’ you mentioned? Is it like a Witch?" Elias Moretti’s crimson eyes flickered, filled with curiosity.
After hearing all this from Aiden Atwood, he couldn’t help but feel a surge of ambition.
’This New Continent, this new territory, is the perfect place for a male to reach his peak—so much better than Norfell!’
He believed that if Evangeline was willing, they could join forces and establish an incredibly powerful federation!
But first, he had to figure out what a "Druid" was.
"A Witch? What’s that?" Aiden Atwood scoffed.
He said with a dismissive air, "Everyone says Witches are the envoys of the Beast God, walking the Beastman Continent. They brag about being able to communicate with the Beast God, but have you ever asked them if they can still obtain the Beast God’s blessing these days?"
"To put it bluntly, the ’Witches’ you speak of are just lucky enough to have awakened some minor special ability in their bloodline. It’s not a gift from the Beast God!"
"A Druid, on the other hand..."
Aiden Atwood paused. His gaze fell upon Evangeline, and his voice deepened, laced with a hint of reverence. "While Druids are also Beastmen who have awakened their bloodline’s abilities, what they awaken is the true power of their ancestral veins!"
"The Dragon God himself is a Druid."
Evangeline raised an eyebrow. She hadn’t expected the so-called "Druids" to have such a profound origin.
A corner of Elias Moretti’s mouth lifted. "In that case," he said confidently, "there can’t be many Druids in the Beastman City-states, can there?"
Aiden Atwood’s expression grew more serious. He nodded. "As I said, very few Beastmen can awaken their ancestral veins. However, there has never been a female Druid, which I find... odd."
As he spoke, he sized Evangeline up again. If she hadn’t displayed such immense power on the coast, he wouldn’t have mistaken her for a Druid. But that kind of display was truly beyond the capabilities of any ordinary Beastman.
Even Beastmen at the Barbarian Tooth, War Pattern, or even Beast Soul Levels—despite also having awakened bloodlines—are only stronger than other Beastmen in terms of physical stamina and Beast Crystal energy reserves. At the end of the day, they aren’t much different from Beastmen who are still below the Nine-star Extreme Realm.
Only Druids possess an Innate Divine Ability—an exceptionally powerful type of power!
Likewise, a Druid can even alter their beast form, manifesting an Ancestral Beast Form, just like the Dragon God.
But there was no need to mention all that.
It was common knowledge that females lose their Transformation Ability upon reaching adulthood.
A female Druid might have an Innate Divine Ability, but she could never possess an Ancestral Beast Form.
This was why, despite his surprise and politeness upon seeing a female Druid from the Savage Lands, he wasn’t afraid. She was just a female. No matter how formidable she was, she was born with limitations.
Elias Moretti’s expression shifted, and his gaze toward Evangeline filled with understanding.
’No wonder she suddenly became so powerful. It seems that after the Oasis Tribe was destroyed, Evangeline inexplicably awakened her ancestral veins, becoming what they considered a "Witch" and gaining all sorts of indescribably powerful abilities.’
The other males, however, had placid expressions. They didn’t care if their female was a Witch, or some kind of Druid, or if she might one day become a being like the Dragon God. All they knew was that she was their female.
"Well, I’ve said all that needs to be said. Honored guests, please make yourselves at home; consider the Otterhaven City-State your own. I won’t disturb your meal any longer. Someone will be by shortly to show you to your quarters." With that, Aiden Atwood stood up and smiled politely at the group, his gaze lingering solemnly on Evangeline for a moment.
However, before he could leave the banquet hall, Riley Atwood burst in, stumbling and scrambling.
Seeing his captain in such a state, Aiden Atwood frowned and immediately snapped, "What’s all the panic for!"
Riley Atwood’s face was deathly pale. His trembling eyes landed on Evangeline and her companions before he suddenly shrieked, "Commander! They... they didn’t cross the Triangle Sea during a temporary lull in the gales! They... they completely pacified the Devil’s Sea!"
As he said this, Riley Atwood looked as if he’d seen a ghost.
The Devil’s Sea was the Beastman City-states’ name for the Triangle Sea. It wasn’t just the Norfell Beastmen; even they themselves couldn’t sail far on its surface. The Triangle Sea devoured countless Beastmen every year and was known to all as a terrifying region. Otherwise, a coastal territory like this wouldn’t have been left for a small city-state like theirs to occupy.
Aiden Atwood’s pupils constricted. He seized Riley Atwood by the collar and roared, "What did you say?!"
Riley Atwood’s face twitched as he repeated himself, enunciating every word. "Commander, the Devil’s Sea... is calm. There are no more gales or whirlpools. I’ve already sent men to confirm it personally."
Aiden Atwood’s Adam’s apple bobbed violently, and a shiver ran down his spine. He whipped his head around to face Evangeline. "You really dealt with the whirlpools and gales in the Triangle Sea? How is that possible? The Dragon God himself sundered that sea!"
That stretch of sea was fraught with peril; it was not meant to be crossed. But if its man-eating tempests had been quelled, did that mean Norfell and the Beastman City-states would now be connected? Could those Savage Beastmen now travel here freely?
But that wasn’t the most terrifying part.
For the Otterhaven City-State, this news was nothing short of a cataclysm.
Although the Triangle Sea was dangerous, it was also rich with marine life. Living here, they never lacked for food or drink, and they could trade their seafood to other city-states via merchant caravans. This was how they survived!
But once the sea was pacified, once the Devil’s Sea no longer claimed lives, this place would become a territory with an incredible wealth of resources!
When that time came, could their weak Otterhaven City-State possibly defend it?
