Chapter 201: Chapter 201: Open Your Eyes

The Ultraman Cosmos world, more precisely, the world of Ultraman Cosmos vs. Ultraman Justice: The Final Battle.

Jovian sat in a park, patiently waiting for something. From Jovian’s perspective, the space beyond Earth was currently an endless, twisted expanse. The presence hidden there, the one that could not be seen clearly, was Delacion.

In the Ultraman multiverse, Delacion was known as an all-knowing and all-powerful super-prophet, an existence that understood reality through a philosophy built on its own definition of justice. In essence, Delacion’s idea of justice was similar to Sacred Kayle’s from Super Seminary. They both had their own standard for judging good and evil, and they used that standard to measure other civilizations or beings. Based on the results, they would pass judgment and strike down those they deemed evil.

According to Delacion’s judgment, Earth would become a planet that posed a massive threat to the entire multiverse after the second millennium. To stop that threat, Delacion had decided to dispatch Giga Endra and judge all of Earth.

That meant wiping out every living thing on Earth. To put it simply, exterminating the human race and forcing all life to begin its evolution again from scratch.

"Justice, huh?"

"Good and evil. The same old question..."

Jovian sat on the bench and murmured to himself. He had nothing but contempt for so-called justice. Someone else’s justice was someone else’s justice. What the hell did that have to do with him? To put it bluntly, only those with power had the right to define good and evil. Those without power were fragile and utterly helpless when facing the judgment of a higher civilization, just like Earth right now. With a single word, Delacion had defined all of humanity as evil. But was that really true? Jovian disagreed.

What a joke. Destroying every life in an entire civilization because of a few prophetic fragments and things that had not even happened yet, if that could be called justice, then it was laughable. Compared to that kind of justice, the Land of Light’s saintly path was far more interesting. Those great saints from the Land of Light were the kind of beings who would sacrifice themselves before they ever sacrificed others.

Boom!

"Why..."

As Jovian crossed his legs and waited in silence, Ultraman Cosmos, after completely merging with Musashi, was defeated in confusion by Ultraman Justice and the giant robot working together.

"Justice hits pretty hard."

"But it’s about time for me to step in too."

Jovian looked at Cosmos, who had been beaten down by Justice, rolled his shoulders, and vanished completely from the park.

"Why did this happen..."

Before Justice attacked him, Musashi could never understand it. He could not understand why Justice, who had fought alongside him, would attack him. He could not understand why Justice would help those invaders.

Although Musashi had many things he wanted to ask Justice, he no longer had any chance to speak. His body had suffered severe damage, and his entire being was on the verge of collapse. If Cosmos had not used the last of his power to protect him, Musashi’s soul would already have been annihilated.

"Cosmic hero, open your eyes. I am Zoff... cough, cough..."

Jovian had taken on Ultraman Tiga’s form and floated in front of Musashi, calling to him softly.

"You are..."

After hearing Jovian’s call and receiving a portion of Jovian’s power, Musashi finally opened his eyes slowly.

"Are you an Ultra Warrior?"

Musashi looked at Jovian’s form and asked. Although he did not know who Jovian was, the moment he saw Jovian like this, he knew Jovian was an Ultra Warrior like him.

"Yes, Musashi. Earth needs your protection. How can you stay asleep?"

Jovian floated in midair and spoke to Musashi in a deep voice.

"Earth... right, Earth still needs my protection..."

"I..."

As Musashi spoke, he suddenly remembered the way Justice had attacked him, and hesitation rose within him.

"Are you hesitating? Are you lost?"

Jovian looked at Musashi’s useless state and asked.

"I’m just having doubts..."

"I don’t know who my enemy is anymore, or who I should protect."

"I don’t understand why a friend who fought beside me would stand against me."

"I don’t understand why everyone can’t live together peacefully, kindly, and happily. Why does there have to be war? Why does there have to be invasion?"

Musashi looked at Jovian in confusion. Even now, he still could not understand Justice’s actions.

"This was the inevitable result."

"Because this is Delacion’s conspiracy..."

Jovian guided Musashi along.

"Delacion?"

A trace of confusion appeared in Musashi’s expression. He had no idea what this Delacion Jovian mentioned actually was.

"Delacion..."

"The prophet of the universe. It foresaw that Earth would become a crisis for the entire universe, so it prepared to destroy Earth."

"As for Justice, she is nothing more than Delacion’s subordinate."

Jovian explained the situation to Musashi.

"What?!"

Musashi’s expression shook. He had never expected his comrade, Justice, to be someone else’s subordinate.

"What should I do?"

Musashi was utterly helpless at that moment. He did not know what he was supposed to do.

"Musashi, do you have the courage to face life and death?"

Jovian’s entire body radiated incomparably sacred light as he questioned Musashi.

"The courage to face life and death?"

"If it’s for Earth, I can die!"

Musashi clenched his fists. He had prepared himself to die protecting Earth.

"Good. I knew I wasn’t wrong about you..."

After receiving Musashi’s answer, Jovian revealed a faint, satisfied smile.

"Since you’re ready..."

"Release the power within your heart. Release every bit of energy inside your body!"

Jovian deceived Musashi, tricking him into releasing all of Cosmos’s power inside him.

"Like this?"

"Ah!"

Musashi, the hot-blooded young man, did not think too much after hearing Jovian’s words. He unleashed all the power within his body and completely released the light inside him.

"Yes, exactly like that..."

Jovian smiled faintly while absorbing the light from Musashi’s body.

Yes, his goal in coming to this universe had never been Justice. It had been the power of Cosmos within Musashi.

Cosmos, meaning universe, harmony, and order.

That was why Ultraman Cosmos possessed a top-tier capacity that other Ultramen did not have. He could become an all-purpose fusion material.

When he fused with Ultraman Justice, who represented justice, he became the miracle of the universe, Ultraman Legend.

When he fused with Ultraman Zero and Ultraman Dyna, he could once again become a miracle, transforming into the invincible Ultraman Saga.

Whether it was Legend or Saga, the key requirement for ascending into a legendary existence was not Zero, Dyna, or Justice. It was Cosmos, who represented the universe, harmony, and order.

So here was the question.

If anyone who fused with Cosmos could become a miracle...

Then what would happen if the power of Dark Tiga, the power of Dark Zagi, and Alien Empera, who was known as the Dark Great Space Emperor yet whose essence was indeed light, fused with Cosmos?

When absolute darkness and absolute light, those two vast energies, met within the universe...

All things found balance within them. This was not justice. This was not evil.

Within darkness lay a faint trace of light, and within light flickered the deepest darkness.

A massive yin-yang diagram spun around Jovian, constantly turning, invading itself, and blending together.

At the same time...

Jovian’s form completely changed.

"Musashi, I will absolutely do what I promised you."

The fusion of light and darkness looked at Musashi before him and declared that he would fulfill Musashi’s request.

"I’m leaving it to you..."

Musashi looked at the giant before him and gave a brilliant smile. Although no one else could stop Delacion, that definitely did not include the being before him. If it was him, if it was this Ultra Warrior before him, then he would surely be able to stop Delacion’s invasion.

Meanwhile, on Earth...

Humanity looked up at the sky and saw the enormous weapon shining with dazzling light.

When ten-million-degree heat was released from the ultimate combat weapon known as Giga Endra, humanity fell into despair.

"Hah!"

At the moment humanity despaired, a crimson figure flew out and blocked the beam.

"It’s Ultraman Justice!"

"I knew Ultraman was on our side!"

On Earth, the people who had still been cursing Justice moments ago began shouting loudly the instant they saw Justice willingly endure the damage from the ultimate weapon Giga Endra for their sake.

"Justice?!"

"Have you betrayed me?"

Delacion looked at Justice, who was helping humanity stop Giga Endra, and questioned her.

"No!"

"I simply believe. I believe humanity has possibilities!"

"I believe in the humanity Ultraman Cosmos believed in..."

Justice shook her head. She had not betrayed Delacion. She merely intended to uphold the justice within her own heart, just as her name, Justice, implied.

"..."

"Useless. Even if you intend to help humanity, what can you do?"

"With you alone, there is no way you can stop Giga Endra’s power!"

Delacion could not understand Justice’s behavior. In its eyes, Justice’s action was pure suicide. A single Ultra Warrior could not possibly face the mighty Giga Endra.

"I believe I am not alone..."

Justice shook her head. She believed Cosmos would definitely appear.

"Not alone? How laughable. Look at your body. It has already begun melting under the high temperature..."

Delacion looked down on Justice’s persistence. Justice was justice. Evil was evil. Evil had to be judged by justice. Why could these lower beings not understand that? Humanity was already beyond saving. Only by allowing Delacion to completely purify every life on Earth and reset life itself could humanity receive its greatest salvation. Why could Justice not understand such a simple truth?

"I’ll push Giga Endra back!"

Justice’s body flashed with light as it began to break apart, and she flew toward Giga Endra.

"Then let us see whether you disappear first, or whether you reach Giga Endra first."

Delacion felt nothing toward Justice’s persistence.

Justice struggled bitterly to hold on. She kept flying toward Giga Endra. However, Justice was ultimately only one person. Her power was limited, and as she continued approaching Giga Endra, her body had already reached its limit.

"So this is my limit..."

"Cosmos, are you really dead?"

"If you don’t come out now, Earth will have no hope left!"

Justice looked at Giga Endra as it released its light and cried out at the final moment.

"Stand up, Ultra Warrior!"

"Stand up!"

Countless people on Earth prayed. At that moment, their spirits finally became one with the Ultra Warrior.

Hum!

And at the very moment Justice fell and humanity prayed, the light of a miracle illuminated the entire universe.

Warm light wrapped around Justice’s body.

"Is it... Cosmos?"

Justice opened her eyes again, and what entered her sight was...

An Ultra Warrior whose body was composed of black and white.

The Ultra Warrior gently held her just like that, allowing Giga Endra’s beam to shine upon his black-and-white body.

Yet the miraculous thing was that no matter how hard Giga Endra tried, it could not inflict even the slightest damage on this black-and-white warrior.

"You are..."

Justice looked at the strange yet familiar Ultra Warrior before her with wide eyes.

Alien Empera’s darkness contained light. Dark Tiga’s dark exterior was filled with light. Dark Zagi was pure darkness. Cosmos was pure light, the best vessel in the entire universe and the ultimate fusion material.

"When darkness and light fuse with one another, a warrior representing the balance of the multiverse is born."

Delacion, existing in a higher universe, looked at the great warrior who ignored Giga Endra’s beam and stood quietly in the universe, then murmured to itself.

Hum!

Before Delacion could say anything else, the existence in which light and darkness coexisted absorbed all of Giga Endra’s beam. His body darkened, and then a wave of dark energy stronger than Giga Endra burst from within the light-and-dark warrior, landing directly on Giga Endra’s body.

With a burst of dazzling light, Giga Endra was instantly blown to pieces by the completely opposite energy.

"Are you Cosmos?"

Justice stared wide-eyed at the destroyed Giga Endra. She could not imagine just how powerful this mysterious warrior before her truly was.

"I am not Cosmos. You can call me Bornless, or you can call me Jovian. Call me whatever you like. A name is nothing more than a label."

This warrior in whom light and darkness coexisted was none other than Jovian after absorbing Cosmos’s power. At that moment, his aura was incomparably sacred, as if his entire being had ascended after absorbing Cosmos.

"I understand..."

Justice nodded gently, indicating that she knew how to address Jovian now.

At the same time, Delacion and countless warships suddenly appeared before Jovian and Justice.
