This Journey to the West is so terrifying
Chapter 354 - 292: Tushita Palace
Liu Ming heard this, turned his head, and revealed a brilliant smile, "Hmm, I’ve read about this rune in a book before."
"Oh! So that’s how it is." Lu Shu muttered to himself.
Liu Ming’s words greatly comforted Lu Shu’s heart. Although he appeared carefree and nonchalant, he was actually filled with pride inside.
As a craftsman with a lineage, he was naturally destined to go further than anyone else; indeed, this had been the case all his life, as he had always been the one who stood out most in a crowd.
But ever since meeting Liu Ming, he felt as if he had met his nemesis. Whether in social conduct or in capability, the other person was stronger than him.
Even the broad knowledge he gained due to his family background seemed insignificant in front of the other.
Of course, this was just a minor incident that occurred within the Heavenly Forge Bureau and amounted to nothing more than a ripple in the grand scheme of the Three Realms, shattering before it even entered the public eye.
In a corner of the Heavenly Court, a golden butterfly danced gracefully. It flew over pathways and palaces, yet no immortals noticed its presence, as if it did not belong to this world.
Although the Heavenly Court had just gone through a rebellion, under the Jade Emperor’s coordination, it quickly returned to normal, now exuding an air of peace and harmony.
Despite the escalating conflict with the Buddhist Sect, the Heavenly Court still had enough confidence to watch the tides rise and fall.
The butterfly thus danced within the Heavenly Court until it reached above the Thirty-Three Heavens, where the Tushita Palace of The Grand Supreme Elderly Lord once stood.
Ever since the Three Pure Ones disappeared, mysterious changes had occurred there. The once majestic and towering Tushita Palace had vanished.
However, when one looked from a distance, the Tushita Palace still stood there, as if it were two worlds gazing at each other from afar.
Initially, countless powers of the Three Realms observed this magical transformation, attempting to find the trace of the Daoist of the Three Pure Ones and understand where their breakthrough had occurred.
Unfortunately, this force was too profound and inscrutable. Even these well-known powers of the Three Realms failed to perceive anything from it, as if it were from a different dimension.
As time passed, everyone gave up, guessing that the time was not right.
But today, this peaceful area suddenly changed. The previously empty Thirty-Three Heavens seemed to ripple, a palace slowly became visible, and the words "Tushita Palace" were written upon it.
Yet, this scene unfolded silently, eluding all perception.
The golden butterfly, however, gently fluttered its wings and made its way into the palace.
The butterfly landed on the ground and transformed into a figure, none other than Lin Fang, who had somehow managed to infiltrate the Heavenly Court surreptitiously.
Gazing at the empty hall, even now filled with the fragrance of elixirs, Lin Fang sighed inwardly in admiration of the site where the Elderly Lord practiced alchemy, truly extraordinary.
What caught his eye was a massive Bagua Furnace, which still seemed to hold a wisp of residual heat, allowing one to feel the past fierceness of flames.
"Worthy of the Elderly Lord’s Bagua Furnace, indeed formidable," Lin Fang sighed softly, his voice echoing in the vast hall.
Just then, three figures suddenly appeared. Two finely featured Daoist boys were leading a Green Ox to this place.
Although his appearance had changed dramatically, Lin Fang still recognized the identities of the two little Daoist boys at a glance. They were none other than Golden Horn and Silver Horn from within the Lotus Cave, and this Green Ox, if nothing unexpected, must be that Green Ox Demon.
"It’s actually you!" Golden Horn and Silver Horn exclaimed in shock upon seeing Lin Fang’s figure.
They had never imagined that the little demon from before could have grown to this extent, and what was even more unexpected was that their master had chosen to entrust his legacy to him.
"It’s been such a long time since we last met, Great Kings!" Lin Fang said with a smile.
Seeing old acquaintances, he still felt very happy.
"You really had us fooled, and it was quite bitter," Silver Horn said, hopping up and down. Now that he thought about it, that guy had clearly treated them like children back then, and they had actually thought he was a truly good person.
"Circumstances compelled me; I was too weak at the time and had no choice," Lin Fang replied with an apologetic smile.
"Forget it, forget it. It’s all in the past, why talk about it." The Great Golden Horned King waved his hand disinterestedly.
"Since you’re here now, we can hand over the object left by the Grand Elderly Lord."
"What object?" Lin Fang asked curiously. After all, it was something left by The Venerated Way of the Three Pure Ones; just thinking about it, one knew it would be extraordinary. If word got out, countless people in the Three Realms would covet it.
"It’s this Tushita Palace!" Silver Horned Lord gestured at their surroundings as he spoke.
"Ah!" Lin Fang was astonished. The Elderly Lord had actually left the Tushita Palace for him; could this be in return for bringing an opportunity to him?
"There’s more!" Right after speaking, the Great Golden Horned King produced a map and handed it over to him.
Lin Fang opened the map with curiosity but felt as if he was witnessing the destruction of Heaven and Earth, and the end of all things; before his eyes, it seemed as if four terrifying treasured swords descended from the sky, forming a dreadful Primordial Killing Array that made Lin Fang feel the fear in his soul.
This formation was created purely for slaughter, seeming to be the harbinger of universal annihilation.
"Sword Array of Slaying Immortals!" Lin Fang murmured to himself.
Although he had always heard about such a formidable weapon belonging to the Divine Venerable Shanqing Lingbao, Lin Fang had never seen this legendary supreme killing array due to the era he lived in.
He had never expected to witness the legendary Sword Array of Slaying Immortals today. Indeed, just as the rumors described, it was the number one killing array of Heaven and Earth. The chilling intent to kill and the aura that could annihilate all things made Lin Fang’s soul uncontrollably shiver.
It took a while before Lin Fang managed to pull himself out of such feelings, and only then did he realize that he had unconsciously broken out into a cold sweat.
"What a terrifying killing array!" Lin Fang said, still feeling a bit scared.
"Naturally, this is the famous handiwork of the Spiritual Treasure Daoist Lord, the foremost of all heavenly killing arrays, capable of truly obliterating all things, ending the world," Silver Horn said with a smile, his eyes filled with mischief. He had intentionally not warned Lin Fang earlier just to see his scared expression now.
Seeing the boys’ expressions, Lin Fang knew these two rascals were taking the chance to get back at him.
However, being able to witness this supreme killing array of all heavens was worth it. Lin Fang wasn’t too concerned about losing face; obtaining substantial benefits was what really mattered to him.
Seeing Lin Fang’s composed demeanor, Golden Horn and Silver Horn found it dull. They had been looking forward to seeing Lin Fang frustrated and distressed, but instead, he was as serene as a gentle breeze and couldn’t have cared less.
