This Journey to the West is so terrifying
Chapter 356 - 294: Entering the City
Golden Horn and his companions listened to the other party’s words, exchanged glances, and all saw the shock in each other’s eyes.
While everyone’s gaze was fixed on Luzhou in the North, watching the Demon Clan rebuild the once-majestic Demon Court, a complete Demon Capital had already been built in this world.
This inevitably made them start to doubt what Lin Fang’s true identity really was.
"Who exactly are you?" the monster guarding the gate asked again, its tone now clearly wary. Although the Demon Realm was tightly guarded and only had a few passages connecting it to the outside world, they remained extremely vigilant to prevent unforeseen issues.
"I am the Green Ox under the Elderly Lord!" the Green Ox Demon said with great pride.
"Who is the Elderly Lord?" the two gatekeeping monsters asked, very puzzled.
"What, you haven’t even heard of The Grand Supreme Elderly Lord?" the Green Ox Demon said, shocked.
His own master was a being of such standing, the strongest in the Three Realms. Without his approval, not even the Supreme throne of the Jade Emperor would be stable. Yet these two monsters before him were completely clueless about his existence, which was simply outrageous.
"We indeed haven’t heard of him; he seems like a very powerful person."
In fact, these two gatekeeping monsters couldn’t be blamed. Ever since the fall of the Demon Court, Luzhou in the North had become a desert of knowledge under the deliberate guidance of the Heavenly Court. Much of the knowledge once passed down had vanished into the river of time.
And since the establishment of the Heavenly Court, the Elderly Lord had been living in seclusion and seldom appeared in public. His worship was mainly spread among the Human Clan, which left these newly born monsters in Luzhou in the North lacking recognition of this revered figure in the Three Realms.
Although Feng Jiu and others had begun efforts to educate and enlighten after the rebuilding of the Demon Court, such a task was not accomplished overnight.
"What’s going on here?" Suddenly, a clear voice came.
A young man with a purple crescent moon on his forehead walked over curiously and asked.
"Lord Little Feng!" The two monsters greeted him with great respect, their words filled with reverence for the young man.
"There are three people of unknown origin here wanting to enter the city," they said, pointing towards the Green Ox Demon and his companions.
Little Feng’s gaze shifted onto the trio, his expression immediately serious, because the Green Ox Demon and his fellow companions were not average individuals. They were once dominant Demon Kings and had followed the Elderly Lord for countless years.
In terms of strength, they were considered among the top within the Demon Clan. Even though they were suppressing their aura at this moment, Little Feng, who had undergone a Bloodline Awakening, could still sense their power.
"I didn’t expect you to be of his bloodline!" the Green Ox Demon said to Little Feng with a deep gaze.
The moment Little Feng appeared, he had recognized the source of Little Feng’s bloodline. As the Elderly Lord’s mount, he had lived through that chaotic era, and it was the Three Pure Ones of the Daoist Sect who ended the epoch when gods and demons roamed unchecked.
The figure from whom Little Feng’s bloodline originated had been as notoriously powerful as the other fallen deities and demons that reigned over the Three Realms. Naturally, the Green Ox Demon had a deep impression of him.
Hearing the Green Ox Demon’s words, Little Feng couldn’t help but inhale sharply. Recognizing the source of his own bloodline, just who was this seemingly simple-minded old ox before him?
"Stop guessing; I am the Elderly Lord’s mount, and it was Lin Fang who allowed us in this time."
"The mount of the Grand Supreme Elderly Lord!" Little Feng exclaimed in shock.
The two monsters guarding the gate were ignorant of the Elderly Lord’s title. For Little Feng, who had followed Lin Fang for quite some time and even read many of the books in that attic, it was natural to know what this title represented.
It was an existence of the highest order in the Three Realms, one of the Three Pure Ones. They had ended the chaos of the world, put to rest the era when gods and demons roamed freely, and personally established the order of the Three Realms that exists today. They even had a hand in the disputes between the Jade Emperor and Demon Emperor.
One could say that the history of the Three Realms was created by them.
What was even more terrifying was that these beings had found a crucial opportunity, taken a significant step forward, and successfully broken through to a realm supreme. It was precisely for this reason that the Three Realms began to surge with turmoil once again.
This person before him was the mount of that very being, an existence that had traversed from the ancient times. No wonder he felt an unprecedented pressure from him.
It was as if he was directly facing a mountain or an ocean. If not for the special nature of his own bloodline, which sensed that breath of air, he would have already lost control of his body.
"It seems there are those who still know," Golden Horn and Silver Horn said with a grin as they looked at Little Feng’s stunned expression.
"Won’t you invite us in for a tour?" the Green Ox Demon asked with a smile.
Little Feng hurriedly said, "It would be my honor, please come in!"
He led the way at the forefront, guiding the three from Tushita Palace into the newly built Demon Capital.
Past the large gate, the view suddenly opened up. The buildings on either side were extremely neat, with a harmonious variation in height, clearly a product of careful design and not a haphazard construction.
Furthermore, arrays and runes were drawn atop each pavilion, channeling the stars’ light from the heavens, nourishing the entire city.
"Such an extravagant undertaking!" the Green Ox Demon murmured to himself. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
Experienced and knowledgable, he quickly recognized the city’s intricacies. It was not only a wondrous city but also a formidable magical treasure. Even though it had just been cast, the Green Ox Demon could already envision its future splendor.
"Who designed this city?" he asked curiously.
"I don’t know, it is said to be the blueprints presented by His Majesty, apparently designed a long time ago," Little Feng answered truthfully.
"Quite fascinating. I seem to see the shadow of the Heavenly Court within it. Why would there be such similar designs for two different forces? Could it be one person designed it?" the Green Ox Demon mused.
In his mind, however, the figure of Mr. Mo appeared, the mysterious and inscrutable head of the Heavenly Forge Bureau, whom he had only met once. He always thought that Mr. Mo was a strange person, seemingly out of place with the Heavenly Court.
Little Feng, not understanding what the Green Ox Demon was puzzled about, could only wait on the side. After all, this was a revered elder; he could not afford any disrespect.
"Forget it, this isn’t something I should be concerned with. I should just enjoy looking around the Demon Capital," said the Green Ox Demon, shaking his head and putting those thoughts out of his mind.
Little Feng naturally wouldn’t refuse such a request and continued to lead the three on a leisurely tour of the city.
The Demon Capital was vast, but the Demon Clan that lived within it were few. After all, the monsters that had entered this world with the Demon Master and others were only so many, and most of the monsters Lin Fang had subdued had chosen to stay at Lin Fang’s villa. Therefore, the vast Demon Capital seemed somewhat empty, with few people walking the streets, lending it a desolate air.
