This Journey to the West is so terrifying
Chapter 446 - 304: Entering the Dragon Palace
Lin Fang had never forgotten his goal, the mysterious Mr. Mo.
"So, what do you plan to do?" White Dragon was very curious, not knowing how Lin Fang would begin his actions.
"There’s no need to rush. The Exorcist must still have some tricks up his sleeve, but I am much more patient than he imagines," Lin Fang replied with a smile.
He continued to gaze at his little world with a serene self-composure.
Now, the Demon Realm, with the full support of the Demon Clan, had completely transformed into another Heaven and Earth. As its foundation deepened, various treasures and rare resources began to emerge.
This was also why the Demon Clan was able to produce a vast number of cannons in such a short time.
After all, the cannons of this world were made from all sorts of rare materials. Though Lin Fang had greatly reduced the dependence on materials using the knowledge from his past life, the materials required were still enormous.
Without the support of such a small world, the Demon Clan might not have been able to hold on.
The preciousness of the Starry Sky Tree was now fully evident. With this divine tree, the Demon Realm could continuously absorb the Stellar Force and transform it into the foundation of the little world. No wonder Feng Jiu had been so obsessed with it initially.
During this period, the Demon Clan members who had migrated from the outside world received good rest. Accustomed to hard times, they worked the fertile land with unimaginable enthusiasm.
Once free from hunger and poverty, everyone worked tirelessly. Around the newly built Capital City, there were now flat farmlands everywhere. With the help of Lin Fang, the Master of the World, the terrain was adjusted at will, making the land extremely fertile.
Countless crops grew from the earth, giving the Demon Master and Feng Jiu enough confidence to contend with the Heavenly Court.
Lin Fang and White Dragon strolled through the fields, with White Dragon admiringly saying, "What a beautiful sight, one could never tire of looking at it."
He was accustomed to seeing the beauty of the world, but such peaceful scenes were extremely rare; the world often revolved around killing and strife, and there weren’t many who were truly willing to calm their hearts and focus on construction.
"Yes, without war and oppression. The cultivators of the Three Realms could clearly achieve this, yet they still devote their energy to conflict," Lin Fang sighed.
In Lin Fang’s view, if the people of this world really focused on building the world, their powerful mana could bring earth-shaking changes to the entire world. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
But it seemed that the more powerful people were, the more selfish they became. They cared more about their own cultivation levels and lifespan, with little concern for all living beings.
Even the Buddhist Sect, who are supposed to cherish compassion, seemed not to entertain such thoughts; they appeared more concerned with the power of the spirit.
Perhaps this was why the Journey to the West world, despite its extraordinary powers, had not developed a dazzling civilization like that of Earth.
The monsters working industriously in the fields greeted Lin Fang and his companion with smiles, and Lin Fang, not putting on airs, smiled back.
On the other hand, the Divine Exorcist Great Saint, after leaving the Heavenly Court, rode the clouds and soon saw the azure ocean.
He uttered a Water-Avoiding Charm, plunged into the sea with a splash, and headed towards the Eastern Sea Dragon Palace.
The Dragon Kings of the Four Seas shared the same breath and advanced or retreated together. As Ao Guang was the leader, it was rare for the other Dragon Kings to oppose his decisions. Thus, convincing him would mean that half the goal of the visit was achieved.
"Halt, who are you to dare to barge into the Dragon Palace uninvited!" A Patrolling Sea Yaksha spotted the approach of the Divine Exorcist Great Saint and immediately shouted a rebuke.
"I am a Heavenly Court Envoy, I have business to attend with the Dragon King, make way!"
"Heavenly Court Envoy? Nowadays any Tom, Dick, or Harry dares to claim they’re an Immortal of the Heavenly Court. Our Dragon Palace isn’t aware of any Angel’s arrival. I bet you’re actually a monster masquerading under the command of the Heavenly Court to deceive us!"
The Divine Exorcist Great Sage, upon hearing these words, a flash of anger crossed his face. This Yaksha was truly impertinent, obstructing him even though he had made his identity clear—it was hard to tell if it was due to sheer stupidity or if someone had instructed him to do so.
"I am truly a Heavenly Court Envoy, I have urgent matters to discuss with the Dragon King. Make way at once, if you cause any delay, you will be the only one to blame," said the Divine Exorcist Great Sage, suppressing the fury in his heart as he continued.
"Audacious monster, still trying to trick me? My steel fork doesn’t feed on vegetables," said the other, who did not wait for the Divine Exorcist Great Sage to react and thrust his steel fork at him.
The Divine Exorcist Great Sage snorted coldly. A special radiance flashed in his eyes, and the attacking Yaksha suddenly became stupefied.
"Slap your own face!" said the Divine Exorcist Great Sage coldly.
Without hesitation, the Yaksha lifted his large hand and slapped himself in the face with such force that it seemed he held a grudge against himself.
Slap, slap, slap, after several resounding slaps, the Yaksha’s face swelled up at a pace visible to the naked eye. Seeing this, the Divine Exorcist Great Sage then said: "Won’t you lead the way now!"
"Yes!" The Yaksha replied very respectfully.
Thus, the Yaksha led the way ahead, escorting the Divine Exorcist Great Sage toward the Crystal Palace, attracting the attention of many from the Aquatic Races along the way.
The reason being that this Patrolling Sea Yaksha was known for his foul temper, usually arrogant to everyone; but today, he was exceptionally well-behaved, showing unusual respect in front of the Mysterious Person.
"Good heavens, what’s gotten into this Yaksha today? I’ve never seen him so respectful before, not even in front of the Dragon King—I’d always seen him with his nose in the air," whispered a Crab General quietly.
"You’re telling me, I thought I had mistaken him for someone else."
A group of patrolling Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals discussed this, for the Yaksha was a well-known figure in the Dragon Palace, too proud to regard anyone with respect, unlike how he was behaving now.
"Who knows which distinguished guest has arrived to make this Yaksha act so meek. I heard that last time he didn’t even give face to the Dragon Son, and for that, he was sent out to patrol the seas and was told not to return to the Dragon Palace unless there was a pressing matter."
"Given his nasty temper, that doesn’t surprise me at all."
The Yaksha, leading the Divine Exorcist Great Sage and showing no reaction to these discussions, continued towards the Crystal Palace. Before long, they caught sight of the Dragon Palace.
"You have some nerve, how dare you return to the Dragon Palace without orders?" A Dragon Son suddenly poked his head out and said with a very unpleasant look on his face after seeing the Yaksha.
If this were any other day, the Yaksha would always retort, but today he was uncharacteristicaIly silent.
Only then did the Dragon Son notice the Divine Exorcist Great Sage behind the Yaksha and frowned, asking, "Who might you be?"
"I am a Heavenly Court Envoy, here today on important business with the Dragon King."
"An Angel!" Upon hearing this, the Dragon Son didn’t dare to delay and hurriedly invited the Divine Exorcist Great Sage in. He also had a hunch about the Yaksha’s behavior. Being of the Dragon Breed, with no small insight, he quickly surmised that the Yaksha must have fallen under the influence of a spell, which made him so docile. The possessor of such a spell was no ordinary person, so he dared not be careless.
