Chapter 500: Chapter 419 Before the Battle

These Treasure Ships were crafted by the artisans of the Heavenly Forge Bureau, pouring their hearts and souls into producing a total of fifty vessels. The Heavenly Court spared no reserve, providing all of them to the front lines.

This demonstrated the level of importance they accorded to this war.

Everyone got wind of the arrival of the Treasure Ships and could hardly sit still. They walked out of the encampment and, lifting their heads, saw the magnificent fleet of Treasure Ships sailing in from the east, casting a shadow as vast as the sky itself.

The fifty enormous Treasure Ships cloaked the entire heavens, the dark muzzles of their cannons gleaming with a special brilliance. Once again, the Divine weapons of the Heavenly Court bared their ferocious fangs.

Anyone who had witnessed the power of the Treasure Ships was deeply shocked. The foundation of the Heavenly Court was just too strong, having managed to produce so many Treasure Ships in such a short time. The efficiency was truly terrifying.

With such Divine weapons in hand, Luzhou in the North would be like meat on a chopping board.

The people of the Heavenly Court were elated. The arrival of this fleet of Treasure Ships seemed to already declare the victory of the war, heralding the most glorious moment they were about to encounter.

Meanwhile, in the Demon Clan’s encampment not too far from here, the crowd also noticed the sky-covering Treasure Ships.

"It is indeed the Heavenly Court, still possessing so many Treasure Ships," the Great Saint who moves mountains sighed deeply.

He had tried every possible means to destroy the Heavenly Court’s Treasure Ships, but in just this short span, the Heavenly Court had once again produced so many more. Such capability was truly befitting a great power that had dominated the Three Realms for many years.

"However, it now seems to be a bit too late," he muttered to himself.

Had it been earlier, indeed, such an abundance of Treasure Ships might have gravely weakened the Demon Clan. But now, after so long, the tides of development had already changed. If the Heavenly Court was counting on these Treasure Ships to decide their final victory, it would likely only lead to their despair.

"Move quickly now," the Great Saint who moves mountains commanded calmly and sternly. "Looking at the Heavenly Court’s stance, they will probably launch an attack on us soon."

Quickly, the Demon Clan sprang into action, completing their final fortifications and preparing to meet the Heavenly Court’s assault. This war would determine the future destiny of the Demon Clan, for behind them lay the Demon Capital.

A somber atmosphere enveloped every position; not a single Monster wished to return to their past way of life. They cherished the hard-won pleasantries of their present life, and anyone who attempted to snatch it away from them was the object of a hatred that could not coexist under the same heavens.

Ziwei Star Lord quietly watched the numerous Treasure Ships, feeling a quiet sense of relief in his heart. With so many Treasure Ships, he believed the Demon Clan had no chance to recover.

No matter what tricks or schemes the other side might harbor, facing this absolute show of force, there was no chance of victory. This war would eventually conclude with a resounding triumph for the Heavenly Court, making his strenuous efforts worthwhile.

"Pass down the order, launch a full-scale assault on the Demon Clan tomorrow. Tell them to brace themselves. In this battle, we will shatter the Demon Clan’s illusions, break their backbone, and declare to all living beings in the Three Realms the inviolable supreme majesty of the Heavenly Court," Ziwei Star Lord declared with a grave voice.

His command quickly spread throughout the entire encampment. All the Heavenly Soldiers and Generals and Star Lords were rubbing their hands in eagerness, awaiting the full-scale attack and preparing for their most glorious moment.

Within the Demon Capital as well, countless Monsters looked out this way, having heard from the teahouses that a decisive battle regarding the fate of the Demon Clan would soon commence.

If they lost, the Demon Clan would never recover, falling once again into an existence where they were at the mercy of others.

In the distant sky, dark clouds gathered, stirring unease in peoples’ hearts.

The citizens of the Demon Capital naturally could not see the situation at the front lines, but they could feel this tense atmosphere.

At this moment that would decide their fate, no one could remain unaffected.

"I heard that almost fifty Treasure Ships have arrived from the Heavenly Court!" a monster whispered nervously.

Everyone could easily detect the thick worry in his voice; fifty Treasure Ships represented an immense power capable of annihilating everything, the very thought of which was terrifying.

"Su Ming, do you think we can still win this time?" he asked his close friend beside him.

That was a young monster clad in a Confucian robe, handsome and with extraordinarily attractive eyes, but with a long tail dragging on the ground.

This was a Fox Demon, also a scholar from Bailu Academy, with extraordinary knowledge.

"I don’t know, fifty Treasure Ships are nearly an invincible force; logically speaking, we shouldn’t be able to stop them," Su Ming said, shaking his head slightly.

As someone who had come from Bailu Academy, Su Ming naturally understood what power the Treasure Ships represented—they were divine weapons capable of suppressing the Three Realms, symbols of slaughter and destruction.

Some from Bailu Academy even asserted that the outcome of future wars would hinge on the struggle over Treasure Ships; whoever controlled more would emerge victorious in the war.

Facing the menacing approach of the Heavenly Court, Su Ming truly did not know how the Demon Clan should respond.

"But what surprises me the most is that, even though it seems like we can’t hold them off, there’s not a trace of fear in my heart. I always believe that our leaders have a plan," Su Ming said with a smile.

Despite his reason telling him that such blind faith was wrong, for some reason, his heart felt that way. Perhaps today’s Demon Court had unknowingly changed the will and faith of the Demon Clan.

"So you feel that way too. To be honest, I feel the same. The Heavenly Army is bearing down on us, but somehow, I’m not the slightest bit jittery," one said to the other as they looked out into the distance.

The same scene was unfolding in the Imperial Palace of the Demon Capital, where Feng Jiu stood at the highest point of the palace, looking out over the railing, with the Demon Master and others behind her.

"The war is about to begin!" Feng Jiu said with a sigh.

This day had been long-awaited. Years of accumulation were about to be settled in this moment, and she could feel an excitement she hadn’t in a long time.

"Demon Master, are our forces ready?"

The Demon Master responded solemnly from behind, "They’ve been ready for a long time. For this day, we’ve poured all of our resources into preparations; we must make it clear to the Heavenly Court that their era of unchallenged supremacy is over."

"Good, let them watch closely how we rise," Feng Jiu said, her voice tinged with excitement.

For this day, the Demon Clan had started planning early on. They took down the Heavenly Court’s Treasure Ships, intentionally let the Heavenly Court see that all of the Demon Clan’s Treasure Ships had been destroyed, and most crucially, always kept the existence of the Demon Realm hidden.

This created an illusion for the Heavenly Court that the Demon Clan was nearly exhausting its foundations.

Little did they know, the Demon Clan had long been prepared with a trap to capture all the Heavenly Court’s Treasure Ships in one fell swoop. Once this happened, the balance of offense and defense would shift, and the tide of war would dramatically change.

The Heavenly Court would no longer have the chance to meddle with Luzhou in the North, and the Demon Clan could seize the opportunity to develop.
