This Journey to the West is so terrifying
Chapter 509 - 429: Visit
The thought of him drifting aimlessly through the years, even working for his enemies, infuriated him with the feeling that his fate was being toyed with by others.
However, he quickly set aside his frustration, smiling as he said, "Fortunately, it’s all in the past now, and I’ve finally found myself again. Thank you."
Having said that, he bowed to Lin Fang despite the latter’s objections.
No matter what, Lin Fang had risked great dangers to save him, and he ingrained this debt of gratitude deep in his heart.
Lin Fang merely smiled and said, "I was just following orders."
After that, he invited Mr. Mo to take a good look around the Demon Realm.
The Demon Realm had long become a well-established miniature world, constantly absorbing the essence of the stars from the miraculous Starry Sky Tree, thereby strengthening the foundation of the Demon Realm.
This allowed the newly opened world to grow visibly stronger by the minute, spawning countless precious resources. This was also why the Demon Clan had been able to produce a large number of Treasure Ships in such a short time.
Lin Fang walked with Mr. Mo within the Demon Court, the legendary city that Mr. Mo had personally designed, but which had always existed only on paper until now.
However, seeing it vividly in front of him now filled him with great comfort.
He laughed and said, "When I designed this city, I actually believed the Demon Clan couldn’t build it, made these plans only because my little sister kept urging me to."
Mr. Mo’s smile was full of doting, clearly indicating his sister was the most cherished memory of his life.
Now, the Demon Court was also home to quite a few monsters, mainly the races that had stayed after the original Demon Court was destroyed and those that Lin Fang had subdued during his travels through Luzhou in the North.
Most of them were elderly or weak in strength, so he did not send them out to face complicated situations but kept them within the Demon Realm to handle logistics work instead.
However, these numbers seemed somewhat sparse for the vast Demon Court; therefore, the streets of the city were quiet, with barely any figures in sight.
Only one place was bustling with noise, audible even from afar.
"What place is that?" asked Mr. Mo with curiosity.
He could faintly feel an intense fiery energy emanating from that direction and, as the strongest craftsman in the world, he could easily guess that there was a huge furnace located there.
"That’s our Military Armament Department," Lin Fang said softly.
"So the Military Armament Department is hidden here. I heard that during this war, the Demon Clan produced numerous Treasure Ships, thwarting the offensive efforts of the Heavenly Court, but no one knew where these ships came from. It seems they were produced by the Military Armament Department."
The details of the previous battle had already spread, and the most shocking aspect was the large number of Treasure Ships deployed by the Demon Clan.
After all, everyone knew that Treasure Ships were top secrets of the Heavenly Court, and though many had eyed this technology, no matter how many scouts were sent, none could gather information about the ships.
Moreover, everyone in the Three Realms knew that building Treasure Ships required complex procedures and high demands on resources and craftsmen. Only the Heavenly Court had the capability to continuously produce such ships, albeit inefficiently.
Yet, suddenly, the Demon Clan managed to produce so many Treasure Ships, which surprised everyone.
Everyone was baffled how the Demon Clan managed to obtain such numerous vessels through unknown means.
Gradually, the name Military Armament Department came into circulation, with rumors about its mysterious and indiscernible nature. No one knew precisely where it was located, only its reputation.
But the weapons and equipment flowing from the Military Armament Department were commonplace, highlighting its significant capabilities.
Such a place naturally sparked immense curiosity, and consequently, countless people sought after this mysterious location overtly and covertly.
Yet no matter the methods employed, they just couldn’t locate the exact location of the Military Armament Department.
Perhaps those with extensive knowledge guessed that the Military Armament Department must have been hidden by the Demon Clan in a Cave Heaven, but until now, no one had been able to locate it.
As the true leader of the Heavenly Forge Bureau, Mr. Mo naturally had heard about this place, and now he didn’t want to miss the opportunity to see it with his own eyes.
Lin Fang led him to the Military Armament Department, and right upon entering, they were greeted by a wave of intense heat.
The furnaces here were fueled by flames drawn from the earth’s core, astonishingly hot. If not for Lin Fang, the Master of the World, who could slightly alter the environment of Heaven and Earth, such a suitable location would have been difficult to find.
Numerous craftsmen bustled about, many shouting; unlike the orderly atmosphere of the Heavenly Court, the Demon Clan’s Military Armament Department seemed to embrace a more free-spirited vibe.
However, Mr. Mo noted upon closer observation that the items these craftsmen created differed greatly from what was used on battlefields; each one was unique, none were duplicates.
He knew such craftsmen held the strongest creativity, yet for wartime this was impractical as military equipment required uniformity and stability.
"This can’t be everything, can it?" he asked.
"Of course not, I know what you would like to see," Lin Fang replied.
They continued forward, and after passing through a long corridor, a large building appeared. Entering through the main door, many workstations were neatly arranged inside.
These stations were connected by a continuously moving conveyor belt, with numerous individuals standing at each station.
Items were placed on the conveyor belt. As it passed each workstation, demons there processed the material, and the processed material was then placed back on the belt to be transported to the next station.
Mr. Mo watched a simple piece of material transform through various stages into a final product, which was a component of a Treasure Ship.
This efficiency seemed remarkably high because everyone concentrated solely on a specific task, thereby quickly improving their proficiency and saving a great deal of time.
Mr. Mo had never considered that the path of the artisan could be like this; no wonder the Demon Clan could produce so many Treasure Ships in such a short amount of time.
"This is called assembly line production, which greatly improves the efficiency of equipment manufacturing. Our ability to compete with the Heavenly Court this time was all thanks to this," Lin Fang explained with a smile.
Mr. Mo was an experienced and knowledgeable figure, but entering the Demon Realm today, everything he saw challenged his understanding, and he looked at Lin Fang in slight amazement.
Because he knew that such a big transformation in the Demon Clan could not solely be the work of his naive little sister. While the Demon Master was extremely wise, his concepts were still old-fashioned, and such radical innovation was not his style.
Thus, the dramatic changes in the Demon Clan were almost certainly attributable to Lin Fang.
