"This, this card is so strong!"

If she weren't still in the car, Zhi Liao would have practically jumped out of her seat.

Even so, she still drew curious glances from the driver.

But at this moment, she couldn't care less about maintaining her composure in front of strangers; her eyes were practically sparkling.

Because this card was exactly her favorite healing card!

"Even though it's a B-rank card, it has strength and effects comparable to A-rank!"

"If paired with certain cards, it could even be used as a tactical core!"

Zhi Liao had already begun to ponder how to pair the cards.

There was one thing that puzzled her a bit: the magical creature on this card was something she'd never heard of, let alone seen.

It felt somewhat like a stitched-together species.

But this small doubt was quickly drowned in excitement.

Junior, I love you!

...

In the room, Li Pu and Ah Yajun had rested for a while and were preparing to leave.

But just as they were about to step out the door, a voice echoed in their minds.

[The divine descent period is drawing closer]

[Updating to keep up with the divine version]

[Preparing for the Cube Card Metaverse enhancement]

[A minor update is now being made to the cube cards]

"Another patch update, huh."

Ah Yajun was somewhat desensitized to this situation.

Moreover, it felt like every time there was a version update, it happened when he was with Li Pu.

"Shh, listen."

Li Pu gestured for him to stay quiet.

Then soon after, the messages continued to stream in.

Just as Ah Yajun said, this update mainly involved patch fixes.

The first point involves the ace mechanism.

From now on, the derivatives of the ace card, like [Poison Dragon], [Youyou], and [Wood Card Beast], which stem from the original card and represent the original to some extent, could enjoy the ace health bonus.

For example, if [Dragon Mushroom] is an ace, then its evolution [Poison Dragon] will also be an ace.

Any mechanisms involving aces will affect [Poison Dragon] as well.

After all, the result of [Dragon Mushroom] transforming into [Poison Dragon] means [Dragon Mushroom] disappears and [Poison Dragon] takes its place, so [Poison Dragon] should be recognized as an ace.

The same goes for [Dragon], [Youyou], [Youyou], [Wu Wu], [Factory Factory], [Pi Pi], etc.

This counts as a minor improvement for Li Pu.

For example, [Poison Dragon] as an ace gains an additional 100 health points, meaning it can survive longer under continuous self-damage.

As for [Dragon], it jumps from 600 health points to 1200, which is even more over the top than before.

However, if the opponent has a [Seal] card in their deck as a substitute, it becomes quite dangerous.

Another ace mechanism change involves the unveiling of the ace.

While face-down, the ace enjoys an [Invincible] status and is unaffected by anything.

Only when the auto-reveal mechanism is triggered, or upon being attacked, will it be unveiled in the next reveal phase.

The attacks endured here do not constitute damage.

This change is neutral for Li Pu, neither positive nor negative.

But for those who rely heavily on ace strategies, it's a favorable change.

Because sometimes when the duel is at a disadvantage, the leading side will gather strength to attack the ace simultaneously.

Forcing it to be revealed while dealing significant health damage.

Now, with the invincible face-down aces, the disadvantaged side has more opportunities for counterattacks.

No longer will aces be revealed only to be nearly dead already.

This is an important mechanism change, undoubtedly leading to new minor strategies or major tactics.

Beyond ace changes, the second modification involves [Move].

As Li Pu suspected before, it seemed as though something or someone was mystically monitoring their duels.

The last time they used the [Dragon Lady Tree] card bug to glitch the association's robots, they caught a certain someone's attention.

After the [Move] mechanism change, the [Dragon Lady Tree] card bug effect won't be as effective.

Firstly, during a turn with [Move], cards won't be directly attacked; this effect remains.

But if during this [Move], they block an enemy's attack on other cards, the moving card will take the attack instead.

Simply put, it works as follows:

[Empty Spot][Enemy][Empty Spot]

VS

[Point A][Point B][Dragon Lady]

[Empty Spot][Card Armor][Empty Spot]

If the [Enemy] attacks [Card Armor] this turn, and [Dragon Lady Tree] [Moves] from its original spot to Point B, it will take the damage; if it moves to Point A, it's unharmed.

For instance:

[Empty Spot][Enemy][Empty Spot]

VS

[Empty Spot][Dragon Lady][Empty Spot]

[Empty Spot][Card Armor][Empty Spot]

If the [Enemy] attacks [Dragon Lady Tree], and it [Moves] to either side, [Card Armor] will take the attack.

The best scenario looks like this:

[Enemy]

VS

[Point A]

[Dragon Lady]

[Card Armor]

If the [Enemy] attacks [Dragon Lady Tree], but it [Moves] to [Point A], it can evade the attack by utilizing [Move]'s properties.

All in all, the previous "bug strategy" that locked the card dueling machine still exists, but without enough space, it can't be used recklessly. It won't simply nullify the opponent's attacks without considering other friendly cards.
