Time Travel: The Heroine Has Arrived!
Chapter 1729: Mysterious Puppet Master vs. Ruthless Supporting Female (Part 14)
The White Tiger had obviously sensed the danger too.
It crouched low, its front paws uneasily scratching the ground, emitting a roar akin to a warning, a sign of encountering a formidable enemy.
Gu Shengyin suddenly felt a jolt in her heart. Just as she was about to speak to stop it, she noticed a shadow flashing in front of her.
A black mist dispersed from the doll’s body and quickly formed into a fierce ghostly face mid-air, rushing towards the White Tiger at great speed.
By the looks of it, it held nothing back!
The White Tiger suddenly brandished its sharp claws.
Gu Shengyin watched as the enormous form of the White Tiger clashed with the shadow, finally letting out an "Aow" and swallowing the black wraith down its throat.
Yet in Gu Shengyin’s eyes, it was the White Tiger’s specially tempered coat, impervious even to bullets, being gnawed through by the ghostly face, creating several holes.
The system sighed: "Host, your doll is so ferocious!"
Gu Shengyin: "..." Why does this line being taken away feel so irritating?
Seeing the two still tense and ready for a second round, Gu Shengyin couldn’t bother saying anything, instinctively issuing two commands in her mind.
"Stop!"
The White Tiger obediently halted all movements, lifting its head to roar twice at Gu Shengyin.
But the doll clearly resisted.
Gu Shengyin could feel his unwillingness to let go.
So she issued the command once more.
The doll looked at Gu Shengyin with his green eyes, finally lowering his head in reluctant submission.
The black mist around him returned to his body, as if nothing had ever happened.
He sensed Gu Shengyin’s emotions, passed on from within himself.
The master was displeased because he was disobedient.
The doll again lifted his head, then cautiously poked Gu Shengyin’s earlobe with his sharp long nail. When Gu Shengyin turned her head, he immediately wore a face of "I know I was wrong, I didn’t do anything."
It must be said, having such an expression really had its advantages.
At least when Gu Shengyin looked at it, her anger dissipated in an instant.
Gu Shengyin sat on the ground, with the White Tiger lying beside her.
The doll, feeling extremely wronged, was pulled away by Gu Shengyin to sit on the other side.
Gu Shengyin looked seriously at the two of them.
She did not speak aloud but communicated directly with them through her thoughts.
The general idea was that they shouldn’t be antagonistic towards each other, that they were all the same and needed to get along well...
The White Tiger quickly expressed its stance — that the other party had hostility towards it.
Gu Shengyin looked at the doll who had not spoken up.
Then, she felt the doll’s intermittent thoughts transmitted over:
"Not allowed... to get close. I... mine... it’s mine..."
Gu Shengyin was momentarily at a loss for what the doll meant.
Until the doll, speaking, couldn’t help but move once again, climbing to her shoulder, did she realize the words were about herself.
As the system had said, the doll had an immensely close attachment to her, even harboring an extremely terrifying sense of possessiveness.
However, perhaps seeing it with the cute bun’s appearance, Gu Shengyin didn’t feel repulsed, rather just a touch of faint helplessness.
Could it be that the doll really saw her as his mother?
Children having a certain degree of possessiveness towards their mothers doesn’t seem very strange after all.
