Chapter 265: Missed [1500 GT Bonus]
"Oh that’s just fucking gross..."
Grey groaned, his own smell making him gag. He didn’t even want to move his butt cheeks too much for fear of what he’d feel. Was it sweat? Or was it diarrhea? At this point, he didn’t even want to find out.
"How do I clean myself, please clean me, these rewards suck..."
Grey was grumbling and complaining, trying to get up and yet not wanting to shift his legs too much at all.
To his surprise, though, someone seemed to hear his prayers.
A pillar of golden light descended and then the scent was gone.
Grey laughed after he began to shift comfortably again, half realizing that it wasn’t that the space wanted to protect him or help him, but instead that it had a self-cleaning function itself and Grey just happened to be in its way.
’That looks like a convenient ability. I’ll need to get that. Can’t run up on the hoes smelling like death.’ Grey stretched out his back and then grinned. ’One more reward to go. What’ve you got for me?’
Grey finally turned his attention to his Legendary Quest.
He had gotten several Legendary Grade rewards before, but he assumed that a Legendary Quest should have at least several rewards that good.
Last time he had to share with a back-stabbing bitch. But this time, he was all alone and there—hopefully—wasn’t going to be anyone coming out of the woodwork to take what was his.
But first...

"Well, well, well... I don’t think my stats are supposed to look like that at all."
Grey laughed to himself again. Although the stat boosts from his Epic items had stopped working, it was hard to care when his status screen looked like that. What was there to complain about?
He would just have to pony up for some Established Class items.
But then he realized that might not work either. The peak of Established Class should be around 200 stat points, and the peak of Vector should be around 300. Well, he was just guessing. Maybe there was a more exponential change. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Either way, 500 was definitely well outside the range of the Established Class.
Grey clenched and unclenched his fists, a ridiculous amount of power flowing through him. He felt like he could knock a building down with a single punch.
Finally, he pushed those thoughts aside and got to his Legendary Quest rewards. A portal had appeared above the altar in front of him, but Grey ignored it. He’d be damned if he stepped outside of here without getting all his rewards first. He had seen enough movies.
There was a flash and three floating boxes appeared before Grey. He couldn’t help but grin.
Given their silvery blue color, they were definitely all Legendary Loot Boxes.
"For me? You shouldn’t have."
Despite his words, Grey was already pressing on the first one. There was a jolt that ran through his body and he frowned a bit.
’Hm? What’s wrong?’
The box was opening, but the process was a little harder than it should have been. It almost felt like he was trying to open something with a faulty Nexis Suit. He had, of course, experienced feeling exactly like this before in the past.
But he thought he was past that, so what was the problem now?
Grey could only shove that to the back of his mind for the time being.

Name: Rank UP!
Rarity: Legendary
Class: Established
Accepted Type: N/A
Rejected Type: N/A
Description: An item of great auspiciousness and fanfare. Take any item of the Proving or Established Classes and elevate it to the Established Class Legendary Rarity standard.
Abilities: Do you not know how to read? Look up, idiot.
Note: Some inconsistencies and weaknesses may appear when attempting to Rank UP! an item of the Proving Class Legendary Status. But, attempting to use this item on a Legendary Established Class Item may garner some additional, pleasant effects with a small chance of bumping it up to the Mythical Rarity.

The item was literally a floating emote that looked like a shield. It didn’t seem to have a physical presence, but when Grey reached forward toward it, it plopped down like a little shield in his palm.
Grey raised an eyebrow. His immediate impulse was to use it on his fang set, but that Note made him hesitate.
For one, if the fang set lost some of its abilities, it would be far less useful to him. Plus, he had two other Loot Boxes here. If they were also Established Class Legendary items, then maybe it would be far more worthwhile to use the badge on one of them instead.
’Wait... is it because they’re Established Class Loot Boxes that I had trouble opening them up? Is the problem with the ring, then?’
Grey frowned, looking at his pinky ring. If it was already struggling with communicating at the Established Class, what about beyond that?
No, there had to be a way to—.
Grey noticed the notification he had missed during his little "shitty" upgrade. He should have known after he still had two pending Quests.
