Yin Ji braced his arms on the bed on either side of Jiang Zheyu, gazing at the dazed female before him. ’She’s so adorable, even when she’s lost in thought.’

He couldn’t resist lowering his head and placing a fleeting kiss on Jiang Zheyu’s bandaged forehead.

The soft, cool touch on her forehead was accompanied by a slight twinge of pain from her wound.

Jiang Zheyu snapped back to her senses. Her tea-colored eyes widened in trembling shock as she stared at the Beastman before her, her hand flying up to cover her bandaged forehead.

’What is he doing? Who kisses someone on a wound?’

’But that’s not the point. Who does he think he is? We’re not in that kind of relationship.’

’Even if that’s a rule in this Silver Moon Tribe, it doesn’t apply to me.’

Jiang Zheyu silently used her spiritual power to scan him.

A silent question mark seemed to appear over her head.

’Wait, why can’t I sense any spiritual power from him?’

’Is my spiritual power broken, or is this man not even a Beastman?’

"System, System, answer my question, quick!" Jiang Zheyu hurriedly asked the System in her mind.

Yin Ji, with his striking short silver hair, stared straight at her with his silver eyes. "Why move back? Are you dissatisfied with me?"

’That wasn’t a question she wanted to discuss right now.’

She quickly tried to change the subject. ’If he won’t move, he won’t move. Fine. It’s not like we can’t talk from this distance.’

"When you found me, did you see anyone else?" Jiang Zheyu asked, looking at the man before her.

’I was with Shan Xun and the others back then. Logically, we should have all crashed in the same area.’

’I wonder how Shan Xun is doing.’

Yin Ji recalled the day he found the female. He had seen the Male Beastman shielding her, his back blown apart and mangled beyond recognition. His breathing had been incredibly faint.

He had tossed that Male Beastman aside and brought only the female back.

"I don’t know about anyone else. I just know there was a Male Beastman next to you, but he was already dead," Yin Ji said slowly, his silver eyes looking earnest and clear. "There was a giant, unknown object burning with huge flames nearby, and you two were unconscious a short distance away. By the time I got there, the Male Beastman was no longer breathing."

He had, in fact, still been breathing, but Yin Ji deliberately said he wasn’t.

’But he’s probably not breathing now anyway,’ he thought. ’No one was there to save him. That Beastman is most likely dead by now.’

’Besides, he wasn’t covered in any green sap. The insects would have surely dragged him off and torn him to shreds.’

As Jiang Zheyu processed the news, her heart clenched painfully. A wave of anguish washed over her, and the rims of her eyes began to turn red.

’She didn’t want Shan Xun to die.’

"System, System, is Shan Xun dead? Is he really dead?" Jiang Zheyu frantically asked the System. "How could he be dead? I survived, so how could he be dead?"

But this time, the System didn’t answer.

’Why does she have to look so pitiful?’ he thought. ’My little female.’

A flicker of something passed through Yin Ji’s eyes. He looked down at Jiang Zheyu. "You’re still injured. Wait until you’ve recovered, then we can go out and look."

"It’s fine. This injury is nothing," Jiang Zheyu said, quickly shaking her head.

She tried to swing her legs over the side of the bed, but a sharp pain shot through one of her knees. She couldn’t move it at all, and any attempt sent another jolt of pain through her.

"Your leg is injured." Yin Ji placed a hand on her uninjured leg. "You can’t make any strenuous movements. You need to rest."

Just from that small movement, beads of cold sweat broke out on Jiang Zheyu’s forehead.

’Is my leg broken? This hurts like hell!’

But she was extremely worried about Shan Xun.

’I don’t care if it seems impossible anymore. Even if people think I’m a freak, I have to use something from the System Mall.’

Yin Ji’s gaze fell on the tube of ointment. ’He had just seen the female apply it, and her leg was instantly better. What could it be? It’s so powerful.’

He really didn’t want to take the female there. But then he considered it. ’A whole day has passed, and she was unconscious that entire time. That other Beastman is surely long dead by now. After all, no Beastman can survive outside without being coated in the green sap. Taking her to have a look now shouldn’t be a problem.’

"Come here. Put plenty of this on, then I’ll take you out." Yin Ji picked up a green glass bottle filled with sap and walked over to Jiang Zheyu, reaching for her hand.

But Jiang Zheyu pulled away, her eyes fixed on the bottle of green sap in his hand. "What is that?"
