Chapter 77: Elaris Island Exam 17

[One Day Before The Exam, Cassien decided to meet up with Aiysha...]

"Hey there, Ms. Moon."

"What do you want?" she replied quite rudely.

"Well, how do I say this as simply as possible?" he thought out loud. "Hmm... oh, there we go!"

She looked at her food, then back at Cassien.

"There will be a traitor in my class during the exam." He gained that info through the [Transmigration-Shop], but couldn’t let her know directly. "Do not ask how I’m aware, but I know."

"I won’t ask how you know. I owe you a favor after what you did back in the taverns, but why me specifically?" she asked. "Why not your princess, Olivia?"

Cassien lifted her chin quite confidently. "Because I need your ability."

For a second, she felt quite flustered, but then locked back in quickly.

"Even if I agreed, how would you get in contact with me?"

"It’s going to be quite difficult, but I need you to agree."

"Go on..."

"I want you to scare away our class. During the island exam, there will be many terrifying creatures surrounding the place. I want you to continue chasing us until we reach a threshold at Mirror Lake, where a large deer will make us panic."

"How do you know so much about—"

Before she could completely interrupt, Cassien cut her off.

"Don’t ask questions, just listen," he said. "Afterward, we’ll begin to progress slowly, then a large group of fish will begin attacking from all directions. Sooner or later, we’ll be forced to run in a similar manner until we finally stumble upon a sign. We’ll be taking one direction, and you’ll be taking the other." He paused, taking a deep breath before exhaling completely. "It’s either we get placed in the Verdant Expanse or Echo Canyon. Whichever we’re forced to camp in, just know it’ll be by the coast of one of those locations." 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

"How about dates?"

"That’s simple. If there are too many things happening at once, meet near our location, only about 300 meters away inside the forest, on the night of the 20th. If not, then meet me on the night of the 24th. Is it possible for you to be out late at night, after 11:00 PM?"

"How would you even orchestrate something to happen at that exact moment?" she asked. "If you can, I will be there both nights."

"Don’t worry, you’ll simply have to follow along. It makes the process easier," Cassien said. "Now, would you be willing to do such a thing? I’ll help your class get second place if you would."

"Second?" she laughed lightly. "No. We’ll get first." Then Aiysha thought about it carefully. "Though, I’m willing to help you if everything aligns according to your ’future sight’ or whatever you want to call it."

Cassien smiled. "I appreciate the kindness, Ms. Moon. Although, I must break it down to you." He leaned into her ear. "You can never beat me."

Aiysha looked at him. "Only time will tell."

"Oh yeah, and one more thing..." Cassien whispered. "You come from a long line of assassins, correct me if I’m wrong."

"I do," her gaze met his.

"Then... I might need you to teach me some assassination techniques."

For the first time in a while, her smile turned quite malicious. Because, as stated earlier, Aiysha was more than capable of dark logic.

"Sure thing."

...

[Present].

She continued to step forward, as if this entire scene had been planned from the beginning.

Siv spoke hesitantly. "W-w-what a-are you doing here?"

Aiysha’s face never once lost that seriousness she held.

"Me...?" she pondered out loud. "It’s quite simple really."

"I’ll be your lie detector for tonight."

Cassien smiled, then leaned into Siv’s ear. "So don’t you dare lie even once... not with her blessing. The [Blessing of the Goddess of Truth]."

Siv panicked quietly.

Aiysha crossed her arms. "Let’s get on with this already."

"It would be my pleasure, Ms. Moon." He held Siv’s left arm. "Now then... speak."

The constant pain still lingered throughout his broken fingers, but he managed to speak.

"Fine, fine... I will talk."

"..."

"The reason I did this was because of my love for Audrey."

"So it’s a love story then," Cassien whispered. "Quite the cute reasoning."

"Shut up," Aiysha said.

"It’s the truth!" Siv yelled. "Those three girls back in Class-1D bullied her nonstop, even during school. I could never do anything because I was too weak and fragile."

"Continue..."

"I needed something. And 1A told me that during the island exam, they would help me strike fear into those women’s hearts so they would never touch Audrey ever again, as long as I worked for them in secret."

"Quite the love story this is," Cassien said. "Since when were the two of you this close?"

"Since birth, you scumbag," Siv answered. "We were born in the same hospital. We’ve been close ever since the beginning. As she soared to new heights, I followed. The only reason I speak about girls so pervertedly is so she can get jealous and acknowledge my presence."

"I love that girl more than anything, and I’m starting to see now... I’ve never affected her. So this week will be the week that changes."

He said it with the utmost confidence.

"Tell me, Siv Kento." Cassien paused. "What would you do if you were given the option to kill all three of them?"

"I’ll kill all three of them!"

Cassien grinned, slowly taking out his pistol before lowering it onto Siv’s palm.

"Then tell me," he continued, "What would you do if you held this in your possession? Knowing no one would notice your killings. You’ll have blood on your hands for the rest of your life and will be forced to carry that guilt. But even so..." Cassien paused again. "You can change Audrey’s life into a heavenly paradise."

Siv couldn’t handle it anymore. He wanted to know.

"Tell me!"

Cassien began laughing. Aiysha looked at him in a rather confused fashion.

"Well then," he continued. "Now let’s begin a new manual."

"Manual?"

"The Academy’s Perverted Character’s Killing Guide."
