Transmigrated To A Beastworld As The Lazy Wife Of The Fox Lord
Chapter 149: Arguments for bliss.
Very coldly, as if he wanted to freeze their very souls, Elias growled loudly, "Get out."
"My Lord, are you having another episode?" Timothy squeaked.
Gael smirked. "He is not having another episode, he is just horny and unhappy that we walked in before he could unleash the dragon."
Miro sniggered.
Elias growled at them, and yet they didn’t seem scared or eager to run out.
"You just had a mental break." Gael reminded Elias. "A strong one that alarmed enforcers through the city. Our parents were notified, as was the royal family."
"We all thought we would find you bloody, with broken arms or standing in the midst of a room with a hundred broken enforcers." Miro said. "Bro, we did not mean to walk in on you, but circumstances were complicated."
Gael smirked. "As complicated as his love life."
"Out." Elias barked. "The mental break has been soothed by my wife and I have not murdered anyone. Now, you can all get out and tell everyone that is nosy or worried that I am fine." His aura started to calm down, little by little.
Meanwhile, beneath the covers, Sienna’s senses began to return to reality and what she had just done replayed through her mind with a sickening crush. She had just thrown herself at a man that was kind of sick!! Where is all my shame? She asked herself.
"King wants to talk to you." Gael told Elias. "Now."
Elias snorted. "He can wait another hour...or two. Maybe three or four." He shook his head. "You know what, tell him I will see him in two days, get out and close the door behind you."
Sienna lowered the covers, revealing her face. "What are you waiting for?" She asked Elias. "Go, now. We don’t want him thinking that I am influencing you to become the ’r’ word."
The word word was code for rebel, rebellion or rebellious.
He turned his head back, and looked at her. His eyes were full of reluctance and anger. "Why should I? Last time it was my mother and now it’s idiots and the king. Look at the time, it’s late in the night. We should be in bliss, doing the duties of a husband and wife like the fox god intended. It is healthy and natural, and anyone with a partner would understand."
Timothy ears flapped, and his tail twitched faster, like the blade of a fan. He had never heard such an argument being made for the desire to have sex. Why was the fox god being pulled into it?
Sienna hissed at Elias. "Go, or you will be enjoying bliss alone with your hands from now on."
Elias blinked, at her, totally baffled.
His brothers burst into laughter.
With one last growl, Elias leaped off the bed and left the room, banging the door very loudly. But he didn’t leave, he remained outside because he wanted to ensure that the other men did not spend a second longer inside the room.
As the walked through the hallway, he stopped by a room that had a familiar scent. "Are those my cubs?"
Timothy nodded. "Yes. Lady Sienna brought them along. I don’t know how she knew that you were suffering a mental break, but she did. I also don’t know what means she used to soothe you since she is human."
Elias didn’t respond to the curiosity. Even if he did so, what answer could he provide?
Timothy had booked another room, where Elias went. First he had a sip of water to quench his thirst. His hair was damp with sweat, his shirt was soaked and hands trembling as though he was having a sugar deficiency. The mental break had left his body hollowed. He had not felt the effects just yet because he had been distracted by Sienna’s sweetness.
He forced himself upright in a chair, shoulders squared and face cold and expressionless as usual.
Timothy connected the call via holo-display.
King Leon’s image appeared, golden mane glowing like fire. His voice was low, commanding and edged with concern. "Elias," he said, "you look like you have been through hell. I tried to reach you and send a warning but it seems like I was late. The old eagle lord is in custody, along with some of his supporters. After intense questioning, my people discovered that he has a vendetta against you. Before he was arrested, he had already dispatched assassins to come after you.
Three were arrested, one got away. That one escapee laced your diner with a new untraceable powder that the eagles have been keeping secret. Apparently they intended to use it on royals and other beast lords with mental strength.
My people have already raided the lab that was making this poison. Unfortunately, they were not in time to stop your poisoning. It is what caused your mental break."
Elias’s lips curled into a bitter smile. "In that case, I would like permission to visit the former eagle lord wherever you are holding him. We should discuss this in person."
The king sighed. "I figured you would say that. Unfortunately, he is dead. Him, his family, his close guards...they all perished at sea at 4:00 A.M today."
Elias looked at the time. "It’s 3: 58 A.M."
The king yawned. "Oops, then give it another two minutes. The reality will catch up to the news."
The message the king was sending was clear. The fate of the eagle lord and all his people that were on the hit list was death. It would also be the fate of others that betrayed him.
"We have not talked about the falcon lord, by the way." The king leaned close to his camera, and his image expanded on Elias’s side, focusing on the eyes. "Such an accident happened in your city. You should put in place some safeguards to ensure that new flying ships with old parts don’t crush into any more hotels."
The king was making it clear that he either knew what had happened to Lord Edris, or he was simply suspicious. Either way, no matter what the truth was, each side was keeping their cards to themselves.
Elias replied coldly. "Yes, I will make the necessary changes."
The king laughed. "Send Sienna my greetings and be on the look out for an eagle beast man looking at you sideways. We haven’t found the last assassin and he or she is in Cykress with you."
Without warning, he ended the call.
At the same time, there was an explosion in another city miles away from the capital, somewhere on the sea.
