Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer
Chapter 975 - 407: Battle of the Death Spirit Ships
Thick mist enveloped the entire sea, and with Chadite’s warning, everyone looked around.
In the mist, a ghostly green light appeared. Chadite quickly spread his hands, gathering a large amount of light into balls, firing them one by one.
The light balls illuminated the mist for everyone, allowing them to see some distant objects even amidst the thick fog.
At least they could vaguely see the outlines of things through the light, rather than seeing nothing as before.
The soul fire of anger reignited in the skull, already pierced through the head, inside the coffin on the ship. The bones, like a skeletal structure, began to piece together again due to a strange power.
The skull’s mouth opened, seemingly making a peculiar sound, then Chadite kicked it and the whole coffin into the sea.
With the emergence of the ghostly green light, two tattered ships circled around the Sound of Dawn from both sides.
The tattered ships had decks constructed from spiritual bodies, with shredded sails hanging from the mast, and even one of the masts could be seen broken.
Skeletal sailors moved their joints and bones, swinging the ropes on the ship, as if they could still control the sails.
Spectral beings, formed from ghostly green light, emerged from the holes on the ship’s deck, their faces on display, continuously screaming.
Ghost ships.
Thicker mist began to spread, making the two ghost ships blurred and unclear.
"Wow! New friends have arrived! My sailors, aim and fire the cannons at them!"
"Fire!"
"Charge, charge!"
"Outsiders aren’t welcome here, die!"
Various howls from souls drilled into the souls of everyone.
"All hands, prepare to engage!"
Alka shouted, and inspiring music echoed from the Sound of Dawn, like the drumbeats of war being played.
Julia immediately revealed her true form as a merfolk, her tail lifting her up as she circled.
Red and green coins began to spin before her, and Julia started to sing a high-pitched song.
Singing along with the melody of the Sound of Dawn.
The melodious song pierced through souls.
"What a terrible song, my head hurts!"
"My skull is going to crack open!"
"Make that woman shut up."
All sorts of shouting rang out around them. Obviously, Julia’s song had an effect.
The interwoven red and green energy directly poured into everyone’s bodies and even enveloped the surface of the ship.
Power surged up.
"There’s something underwater!" Chadite shouted loudly.
Hearing this, Pororo jumped off the deck into the water without hesitation.
Soon, you could see lightning piercing the mist, spreading a large mass of seawater glowing with electricity.
Some bones bubbled up, floating to the surface from the water.
"Roar!"
With a dragon’s roar, a teleportation gate suddenly appeared on the deck. Ulu Liwus flew out of the gate, soaring into the sky and diving into the mist.
The moment he flew out, he grabbed Jason with his dragon claws and flew together into the sky.
"Woohoo! It’s a dragon, the Evil Spirit Navy Admiral will earn a new title today! Dragon Slayer! Hahahaha!"
The voice issuing orders from the ship sounded again, appearing to belong to the ship’s leader.
Simon quickly arrived at the aft deck, then stood on the stern, spreading his arms.
The cannons on both sides of the Sound of Dawn instantly opened. Cannons extended out one by one.
Each cannon was entwined with vines, energy pouring into the cannon.
An eerie glow emanated from the ship, but the light was so vast in the mist that these ships were elusive and hard to capture precisely.
"Chadite!"
Hearing Simon’s voice, Chadite hurriedly controlled the light balls to spread further outwards.
A few light balls found their targets and immediately linked onto the ghost ship.
A beam of light pierced through the mist.
In an instant, the target was locked.
"Bang!"
Continuous cannon fire rang out, as three ships fired simultaneously.
The cannonballs fired from the Sound of Dawn resembled flowers, but these sharp flowers became flower buds, with the petals wrapped together like a drill.
They rotated rapidly in the air.
Immediately breaking through the mist, and directly embedded into the ghost ship.
"Damn! You rotten bones, what are you doing, get this damned flower off my ship at once."
The flower exploded, spewing out massive vines that began to entangle the ship, the immense strength of the vines even crushing the wooden planks.
Some skeletons were too slow to react, similarly engulfed, their bones visibly breaking and twisting into a mass, evidently devoid of any resistance.
"Fire!"
The enemy finally locked onto Alka and the Sound of Dawn’s position, firing ghostly green cannonballs one by one, trailing specter-like paths.
The shield had long since risen around the Sound of Dawn.
Yet contrary to expectations, the cannonballs passed directly through the shield.
Heading straight towards the ship.
A few head-sized spherical creatures flew out, opening their massive mouths mid-air. The open mouths were larger than their bodies themselves, swallowing the spectral cannonballs whole.
Out of the cannonballs flying from both sides, only a few landed on the ship, with four swallowed by Juanlu’s Treasure.
The spherical creatures that ate the spectral cannonballs likewise displayed ghostly characteristics, becoming transparent.
A cannonball crashed directly into the side of the ship, immediately exploding into verdant green flames that engulfed its surface, starting to burn fiercely.
