Compared to before, Fang Zhou’s skill list had gained three new additions: Earth-Surging Poison Spring, Death Command, and Soul Shock.

[Earth-Surging Poison Spring] (Bronze, Proficient): Gathers undead energy to create several corrosive poison fountains on the ground within a certain range. These fountains poison passing enemies and have a chance to slow or immobilize them. The area of effect, damage, and other factors depend on the user’s Spirit attribute and Skill Proficiency.

[Death Command] (Bronze, Proficient): Rouses undead energy, moderately increasing the attack power of undead summons within a certain range while slightly reducing their defense power. The area of effect, skill effects, and other factors depend on the user’s Spirit attribute and Skill Proficiency.

[Soul Shock] (Bronze, Proficient): Consumes undead mana to inflict a soul-shocking effect on enemies within a certain range. It has a high probability of interrupting enemy skill casting and a chance to place them in a temporary silenced state. The control probability, duration, area of effect, and other factors depend on the user’s Spirit attribute and Skill Proficiency.

The Earth-Surging Poison Spring and Death Command skills were self-explanatory; one was a large-area Corrosion & Poison skill, and the other was a large-area Enhancement skill.

What pleased Fang Zhou the most was the [Soul Shock] skill.

The Corpse Clone had not yet managed to analyze the racial talents of ghosts, so it could not provide any assistance to the main body’s efforts in deducing Soul-series skills.

However, after Fang Zhou’s triumphant return from the Naraku Civilization’s burial site in the Forest of Nature, he had given some of the soul memories from Vladimir, the Naraku remnant, to Instructor Su Xinyan and Master Sandro for analysis.

During this period, the Undead Mage research group had gained a deeper understanding of the activation principles behind the Soul Struggle skill.

Based on the research findings from Instructor Su Xinyan and the others, Fang Zhou had spent the past month successfully deducing and perfecting an entirely new Soul-series skill: Soul Shock.

This skill was derived from Soul Struggle, but its effects were far inferior to Soul Struggle’s ability to forcibly initiate a Soul Slaughter.

By the same token, however, its negative side effects were also much less severe than Soul Struggle’s.

This skill could not deal direct damage, but it could effectively interrupt an enemy’s skill casting. It also had a high probability of plunging enemies into a silenced state, rendering them incapable of using skills.

This was an immensely powerful crowd-control skill.

Furthermore, because it acted directly upon the soul, it could, to a certain extent, bypass an enemy’s various defenses and status resistances, making it extremely difficult to guard against.

With the significant increase in his four-dimensional attributes and the addition of these three new skills, Fang Zhou’s combat power had increased more than tenfold compared to his time in the Upper Black Iron Stage!

* * *

Upon returning to the outskirts of the Fierce Beast Mountain Range, the Black Iron-tier Fierce Beasts were mere appetizers, easily slain by Fang Zhou.

The most essence-rich portions of these Fierce Beasts’ flesh and blood were all given to Tiamat, the Black Gem Young Dragon, to devour and absorb.

Like all dragonkind, Tiamat possessed a stomach with incredibly high energy-absorption efficiency.

At low tiers like Black Iron and Bronze, Fang Zhou did not need to provide any special resources; a large supply of flesh and blood essence was all that was required for Tiamat to grow rapidly.

According to the young dragon’s own estimate, at his current feeding speed, it would take less than a month or two for him to smoothly break through to the Lower Bronze Tier and once again catch up to Fang Zhou’s pace of growth.

Then again, without the formidable killing efficiency Fang Zhou possessed after advancing to the Bronze Tier, Tiamat would not have been able to advance so quickly.

Compared to Tiamat, Vigus, the Death Elf, was much pickier and harder to satisfy.

In her own words, she was not some brutish monster like dragonkind, which subsisted on raw flesh and blood.

If Fang Zhou wanted to accelerate the Death Elf’s growth, he would have to specifically search for rare Undead-attribute resources or resources related to the Elf race.

For example, treasures like [Tear of the Fallen Moon], [Pale Spring], and [Leaf of a Withered Ancient Tree].

Unfortunately, despite searching the Sea City Military Academy’s resource library multiple times, Fang Zhou had found no trace of them.

Seeing Vigus’s resentful little gaze, Fang Zhou had no choice but to spend a hefty sum to post a purchase request at the Adventurer Association in Beast Fighting City.

However, because the resources he needed were so rare, no one had accepted the order yet.

This forced him to spend a great deal of effort soothing Vigus’s hurt feelings.

After all, Vigus considered herself the matriarch of Fang Zhou’s spirit pets.

She had watched Tiamat, the Black Gem Young Dragon, hatch from a dragon egg with her own eyes.

But now, under Fang Zhou’s care, Tiamat was guzzling blood and gorging on meat, and was visibly on the verge of reaching the Bronze Tier before she could.

How could this not make her anxious?

Pinching Vigus’s puffy cheeks, Fang Zhou resolutely sent her back into his body.

In the world of the living, resources and treasures associated with the Undead attribute were exceedingly difficult to obtain.

Fortunately, the Corpse Clone now wielded a faint authority over corpses and had developed the heaven-defying function of the Corpse Tomb.

In Fang Zhou’s eyes, the Corpse Tomb was not only a military base nurturing a powerful Undead Army but also a research base where he could conduct studies and modifications at the level of fundamental laws.

Recently, besides focusing its research on the Undead Sky Curtain Building, the Corpse Clone had also begun exploring new channels for resource acquisition.

If all went well, perhaps after a while, it could begin producing various Undead-attribute resources he desired through the Corpse Tomb’s resource-gathering function.

Then, using his main body’s Summon Tomb skill, he might be able to establish a resource transfer channel between his main body and the clone via the artificial undead he was raising in the Corpse Tomb.

If he could truly achieve this, the long-standing problem of acquiring Undead-attribute resources would be solved with ease.

The difficulties Vigus was currently facing would become utterly trivial matters.

Of course, it was impossible for Fang Zhou to explain all these wonderful future prospects to his spirit pet.
