[: 3rd POV :]

The molten dragon didn’t hesitate.

With a thunderous beat of its wings, the leader surged forward, tearing through the burning sky like a living comet.

Lava gathered within his jaws, condensing into a dense sphere of destructive energy that pulsed with unbearable heat.

"BURN WITH IT ALL!"

He unleashed it.

A catastrophic blast of molten force erupted toward Daniel, devouring everything in its path, warping the very fabric of that lava-filled reality as it surged forward to erase him completely.

Daniel moved with just a step.

The attack tore past him, missing entirely, crashing into the endless sea behind with an explosion that sent waves of fire cascading into the sky.

Daniel glanced at it briefly, unimpressed.

"Well," he muttered, almost thoughtfully, "what would be best other than... freezing it?"

The leader’s eyes widened slightly.

"What?"

*Snap*

The sound echoed, and the world shattered.

The burning sky cracked like glass as the oceans of lava froze mid-motion, then collapsed into nothingness.

In an instant, reality was replaced with a new world, a silent one and an endless expanse of white.

Snow stretched infinitely in every direction, the air piercingly cold, each breath crystallising instantly.

Jagged glaciers rose like monuments of death, and a storm began to howl across the frozen horizon.

"What is this!?" the leader roared, his molten body hissing violently as steam exploded off him.

But something was wrong.

Very wrong.

The cold wasn’t just external.

It was internal.

It seeped into him.

Through him.

His molten form began to harden, cracks forming across his blazing body as frost spread unnaturally fast.

"N-No...!"

Ice crept along his limbs, freezing him from within, not as a physical effect—but as a concept being forced upon him.

Fear.

It reacted to it.

The more he panicked, the faster it froze him.

"My body, why is it freezing!?" he shouted, thrashing violently as shards of ice formed across his wings, weighing them down.

"This isn’t normal ice!" he snarled.

"This is! This is affecting my existence itself!"

The cold intensified.

As his movements slowed, his molten form flickered, unstable.

"No, I won’t!"

In desperation, he activated everything.

Countless abilities surged at once, resistance skills, heat amplification, adaptive regeneration, elemental immunity, layer upon layer of power igniting within him in a chaotic attempt to survive.

"BREAK!"

With a violent roar, the ice shattered.

Fragments exploded outward as his body forced itself free from the creeping freeze.

But the cost was immediate.

His molten dragon form destabilised, collapsing in on itself as the conflicting energies tore it apart from within.

"I can’t maintain it here...!" he growled, his voice strained.

The lava faded.

The wings dissolved.

And in the next instant, he changed again.

His body twisted violently, reshaping into something new, something adapted, not to heat, but to survive this frozen reality.

A darker form, sharper, more refined and less chaotic.

But it was far more desperate.

He landed heavily onto the frozen ground, breath ragged, his new form steaming faintly against the cold.

Daniel stood across from him, untouched, unfrozen and unaffected.

As if this world favoured him.

The frozen world trembled violently as the leader’s transformation did not slow, but instead stabilised into something far more terrifying, as his body continued expanding until it towered like a living mountain.

Its sheer mass eclipsed the dim light above, casting an overwhelming shadow that swallowed the battlefield whole.

His presence alone began to distort the icy landscape, cracks spreading endlessly beneath his feet while the air itself struggled to remain intact under the pressure he now exuded.

"I... have finally reached it,"

His voice rumbled, deep and absolute, carrying across the entire frozen realm like a divine proclamation, as his newly formed dragon scales hardened into a flawless defence, each one layered with precision and emitting a faint crimson glow from the energy flowing beneath.

At the same time, a burning regenerative force surged through his entire body, mimicking the eternal rebirth of a phoenix, ensuring that any damage inflicted upon him would be instantly undone before it could even take form.

The markings across his body pulsed, ancient symbols belonging to the Red Berserker race glowing with violent intent, enhancing his physical strength beyond comprehension, while his bloodline evolved into that of the Boundless Kin, granting him limitless growth potential that seemed to reject the very concept of restriction.

His mana, now influenced by the Witch of Calamity, became dense, ominous, and suffocating, radiating an aura that felt like impending disaster itself, while his control over elements, inherited from the Aestrael of Elves, allowed the frozen world around him to bend and respond as though it were an extension of his will.

All of it fused perfectly.

No instability.

No rejection.

No flaws.

"This is it,"

He declared, his massive eyes locking onto Daniel far below, his voice now filled with absolute confidence rather than desperation, as he raised his arm and felt the seamless synchronisation of every ability within him.

"This is the form I was meant to achieve, the culmination of everything I’ve taken, everything I’ve conquered, everything I’ve evolved into."

He took a step forward, and the ground shattered for miles.

"I am no longer incomplete, no longer imperfect,"

He continued, his tone steady and certain as the world itself seemed to acknowledge his existence.

"This is Perfect Evolution."

The declaration echoed endlessly.

And yet, Daniel remained where he was, unmoving, his figure insignificant in size compared to the towering titan before him, yet untouched by the overwhelming pressure that crushed everything else.

Daniel slowly lifted his gaze, observing the transformation in its entirety, taking in every detail, every layer, every carefully constructed fusion of power, and after a brief moment of silence, he spoke.

"So... you’ve combined everything properly this time,"

He said calmly, his voice neither impressed nor dismissive, but simply stating what he saw.

The leader’s expression shifted slightly, as if expecting something more.

But Daniel continued, his tone unchanged.

"It’s more stable, more efficient, and far less wasteful than before"

He added, taking a single step forward as the frozen ground beneath him remained perfectly intact, unaffected by the overwhelming pressure surrounding them.

"But calling it perfect..."

He paused briefly.

"...is still a stretch."

And just like that, despite everything the leader had become, the gap between them remained untouched.

"Can you see!?"

The leader’s voice thundered, reverberating across the frozen expanse as his colossal form loomed like an unshakable god, every word shaking the very fabric of the reality Daniel had created.

"I’ve become the perfect definition of evolution! The mightiest and highest existence you could ever dream of!"

His massive arms spread wide, as if presenting himself to the universe itself, his presence warping the storm around him, bending ice, wind, and pressure into submission beneath his will.

"With this power,"

He continued, his tone rising with overwhelming conviction.

"Sooner or later, none of them from the Major Factions will be able to stand against me! Not the Celestials, not the Gods, not the Constellations, not the Myths, and not even those Abnormalities!"

Each title he spoke carried weight, history, dominance across countless worlds and timelines, yet he dismissed them all with a single, rising laugh.

"None of them will stand in my way!"

The declaration rang like a verdict.

Like inevitability and yet, beneath him, Daniel stood in silence.

Still and unmoving.

His gaze remained fixed on the towering figure above, but his expression did not change, nor did his posture shift, as if the overwhelming pressure and declaration held no meaning to him at all.

But within him, something stirred.

"Perfect Evolution... huh..."

Daniel’s voice was quiet, almost drowned out by the raging storm, yet it carried a different weight, one that did not belong to the battlefield.

The words lingered.

Echoed.

For a moment, Daniel’s eyes lost focus, not in distraction, but in thought, as something unfamiliar surfaced within him.

A question.

One he had never truly asked himself before.

Perfect Evolution.

What did that even mean?

It was not about perfect evolution, but rather one’s own goal.

The leader had defined it through power, through accumulation, through conquest, through the fusion of countless superior traits into one ultimate existence.

But Daniel...had never once walked that path with intention.

He had grown stronger, endlessly.

Effortlessly.

Naturally.

But never with a goal.

Conquering planets was not an ambition.

It was survival.

Destroying enemies was not the purpose.

It was a necessity.

Every step he had taken, every power he had gained, every reality he had bent, none of it had been driven by his true desire.

Only by circumstance.

"...What do I actually want?" the thought surfaced, quiet but undeniable.

For the first time since entering this world, Daniel questioned himself.

Not his power.

Not his enemies.

But his purpose.

Was there something beyond survival?

Beyond growth?

Beyond this endless cycle of overwhelming everything that stood before him?

His gaze returned to the leader, who still stood above him, radiating absolute certainty in his so-called perfection.

A being who had chosen a goal.

Who had defined his own peak.

Even if it was flawed.

Even if it was incomplete.

At least, it was something.

Daniel’s eyes dimmed slightly, not in weakness, but in contemplation.

"Perfect Evolution..." he repeated softly.

And for the first time, those words did not feel meaningless.

They felt like a question, one that had been waiting for him all along.
