Urban All-Round Master
Chapter 1949 - 1939: The Pope Slays the Pharaoh
Perhaps it was the blessing of Heaven. Lin Zifeng did not notice the ships of the Bright Sect. Thus, he missed his first chance to return to land.
After surfing all morning, the two people and one dog were already exhausted and out of energy. After returning to the small wooden cabin, they fell asleep immediately, but Shika secretly sneaked out.
While she was on the sea earlier, she sensed the presence of people from the Bright Sect on the surface. To make Lin Zifeng stay for a few more days, she had to take some measures.
"Pharaoh Aix, the Pope once said that this sea area is a prohibited zone, and no one is allowed to enter. Aren’t we going to upset the Pope by coming here this time?" A high-ranking Bright Knight wearing Red Blood Battle Armor voiced his concern.
Years ago, the Pope did say that this sea area is off-limits to everyone.
However, Aix, ranked twelfth among the twelve Pharaohs of the Bright Sect, insisted on being frequently active here. He has been active in this sea area more than once.
Time and again, Shika found this old dog active in this sea area but never acted against him. After all, he was a pharaoh of the Bright Sect.
But in such circumstances, this old dog insisted on going against his own life, repeatedly challenging the Pope’s authority!
"Rest assured, the Pope won’t know about this. Even if he finds out, so what? Don’t forget, I have the backing of the previous Great Pope. Even if he discovers me, he doesn’t dare do anything to me." At this, Pharaoh Aix casually stroked his beard, as if talking up his importance.
He then chuckled, "It’s just an unauthorized entry into a sea area, nothing serious. Even if the Pope came here personally today, I’d still leave him speechless."
"Is that so?!"
However, just as his words fell,
a massive tidal wave suddenly surged across the sea!
The wave surged to a height of over thirty meters. Amidst the turbulent waves, a figure clad in a red crystal Pope Robe was slowly lifted by the sea.
Dominant from above, an imposing voice reverberated across the sea area.
When everyone on the ship saw the figure the wave carried, they were all stunned by the scene.
Because the person appearing before them was none other than the Great Pope of the Bright Church!
"P-Pope!" Pharaoh Aix looked up at Shika towering above, his eyes filled with endless blood webs. He never expected his words to be followed immediately by the appearance of the Pope from the Bright Sect before him; it was inconceivable!
Even the Bright Knight behind him was shocked by the scene, unable to find words.
"Aix, are your words just now true?" From above, the Bright Pope Shika looked down at everyone on the ship. Now, Aix and the knights collectively collapsed, realizing disaster was imminent.
"Pope, you must listen to our explanation!"
"Oh? What else is there to explain? You’ve ignored my orders and tried to suppress me with the old Pope. How can I forgive you?" At this moment, her demeanor was starkly different from the seemingly weak woman on the isolated island!
A fierce aura almost covered the entire sea surface, a chilling killing aura sweeping the sea. Everyone realized the dire situation.
They feared death at the Pope’s whim today. Once the Pope truly raged, no one could restrain him. What many from the Bright Sect might not know is that Shika had now become a Saint.
Even the old Pope had been easily defeated and suppressed in the Blood Pond, with no chance to rise.
Realizing his fate, Aix now had no opportunity for further explanation.
They all knew the Pope’s nature. With no chance to explain, no room for recovery.
Aix boldly stood up, pointed at the Pope hovering above, his eyebrows furrowed, and coldly shouted, "Shika, if you dare to kill us here, aren’t you afraid of the old Pope’s punishment? You must know, my great-grandfather always cherished me. If you act against me today, my great-grandfather will surely pursue this matter!
If you wish to continue sitting stably on your Pope throne, let us both forget today’s events, pretend nothing happened, alright?"
"Oh. You’ve made mistakes and are still so fearless? Today, even if your great-grandfather, the old Pope, were here, if I want to kill you, who can stop me!"
Whoosh!
Upon saying this, a crimson silhouette swiftly descended toward Pharaoh Aix.
The speed was like Shan Dian, almost within half a breath. Pharaoh Aix stared wide-eyed, attempting to flee by jumping into the sea, but a flash of purple light appeared before him.
Immediately... his body trembled slightly, a blood-red mark appearing on his neck. There was no pain. He only felt his head seemed loose, and upon lowering it, his head slipped off his neck, heavily crashing onto the ship’s deck.
His headless body’s Blood Water soared into the sky. With a wave of her hand, Shika absorbed all the blood into her hand, flinging it into the air, causing Blood Rain to cascade.
Others attempted to flee immediately, but this oldest Pope in three thousand years soared into the air, covering the sky with one hand, a slap descending from above, and with a thunderous boom, the ship shattered into debris. No one survived beneath her slap.
The sea surface whistled with sea wind, flames rose, and dozens of bodies burned into charcoal from the flames!
Yet this Pope floated in mid-air, her wide and noble Pope Robe fluttering without wind, coldly observing all. To ensure Lin Zifeng stayed, her actions today seemed to have sealed their fate.
She wasn’t afraid of the Bright Church’s attitude. After years of dedication to the Bright Sect, now was her chance to enjoy life.
...
"Not good!"
On the island, the handsome dog suddenly sprang out of the cabin. It could sense the disturbances at sea.
"What’s the matter?" Lin Zifeng chased out of the cabin, seemingly sensing something but not clearly.
After all, the Pope had incorporated the entire sea area into her Domain. It was tough for an ordinary person to detect the commotion.
"Why do I feel a strong force just flowed across the sea surface? Kid, do you sense such power?" The handsome dog frowned human-like; its sensing ability was still strong.
Lin Zifeng seemed to sense something as well, but not very distinctly.
Since the handsome dog felt it, his own feeling must also be accurate.
