"You guys..."

Wang Qian wanted to step forward to speak calmly with the other party but was stopped by Xiang Yu.

"Don’t stop me, can you see their attitude?" Wang Qian said angrily.

"Let them go. The collaboration is only temporary; after all, you’re not part of the same organization." Xiang Yu said with a smile.

Wang Qian looked at Xiang Yu suspiciously, not knowing when he became so pleasant.

"Let’s go back. What happens to them later has nothing to do with us." Xiang Yu said, then walked in another direction.

Wang Qian let out a cold snort and followed after Xiang Yu.

The two slowly strolled down the street, hearing the distant sound of police sirens.

"It seems the police in China are really angry this time, but that’s good. The more chaotic it gets, the better for our investigation." Wang Qian said.

Seeing Xiang Yu’s silence, she gently tapped him and said, "What are you thinking about?"

"Oh, the weather is nice today," Xiang Yu said with a yawn before walking ahead.

Wang Qian looked up at the sky, only to see thick clouds covering it, unable to see any stars—a very bad weather indeed.

"Stop talking nonsense," Wang Qian said irritably before following Xiang Yu back to the courtyard.

After returning, Xiang Yu washed up quickly and went to bed, while Wang Qian, tired as well, went to her room to rest.

The night was quiet, and the sky was densely overcast, looking as if rain was imminent.

Meanwhile, in a district of the capital, members of the COM found a courtyard where they stayed.

The family living inside had been killed by them, even the child wasn’t spared for safety reasons.

At this moment, all the COM members were dreaming; killing a few people was nothing to them.

Around two in the morning, a shadow suddenly slipped into their courtyard.

The figure moved quickly and silently, like a ghost.

The shadow first entered the eastern room of the courtyard, quietly opened the door, and was met with a strong, pungent smell of blood; upon closer inspection, there were five recently dead bodies, and in a woman’s arms was a swaddled infant.

The shadow didn’t linger and quietly went into the master bedroom.

Inside, snoring like thunder, and smelly feet filled the air.

The shadow entered silently, looked at the figure in black clothing, a cold glint in his eyes, and stepped forward to violently twist one person’s head.

In the darkness, only a ’click’ was heard, and the person’s head snapped off, dead beyond saving.

Next was the second, then the third, fourth...

In the night, the shadow was like a killing machine, harvesting these black-clad figures’ lives.

The shadow efficiently ended 14 lives, and these people didn’t know what happened before they met their fate.

Looking at the people lying there, the shadow frowned, searching but finding no one else.

At that moment, a blurred figure of a man entered, holding pants, seeming to have used the bathroom.

"What are you doing wandering here at night instead of sleeping?" The man said to the shadow.

Upon hearing the voice, the shadow let out a cold snort, turned and grabbed the man’s neck.

Only then did the man realize the gravity of the situation, eyes widening to see what’s happening, but it was too late.

His throat tightened, trachea cut off, feeling suffocated, he wanted to scream but couldn’t make a sound.

After finishing the last person, the shadow left the courtyard silently, taking no more than ten minutes.

The next morning at 8 o’clock, the situation was discovered, with police sealing the scene.

Reporters hurried over for firsthand information but were all refused entry; nobody knew what happened inside.

The criminal investigation team surveyed the scene. Though experienced, they couldn’t help but vomit at this sight.

Due to the weather, some corpses had begun to stink, but what shocked the police more was that all those people had the same cause of death—broken necks.

In another courtyard, Xiang Yu stretched lazily outside.

Wang Qian was dressed like an ordinary person, preparing to head out.

She goes outside every day to observe, only with understanding can they confidently escape during action.

"Come with us. It’s better than idling." Wang Qian invited.

"No time." Xiang Yu refused.

"You have time to sleep," Wang Qian sneered at Xiang Yu before walking out.

Four people accompanied her, one stepping ahead and whispering, "Boss, I saw a shadow last night when I got up. I asked the brothers, nobody went out last night."

"Why did you get up at night?" Wang Qian asked irritably.

"I... needed the bathroom, had to get up," the person said awkwardly.

"We just need to do our job, no need to ask or meddle in other matters," Wang Qian said.

She thought Xiang Yu must have gone out to investigate at night. With his knowledge of the place, daytime action was unnecessary.

The person acknowledged without saying more.

Around ten in the morning, Wang Qian’s phone suddenly rang; it was Darzi, the COM project leader.

Wang Qian didn’t want to answer, given the unpleasant encounter last night with the COM people.

But due to their temporary alliance, Wang Qian could only pick up.

"What’s up?" Wang Qian said irritatedly.

"I’ve lost contact with my team," Darzi said, slightly nervous.

"What does that have to do with me? I have no business with you." Wang Qian replied angrily.

Darzi understood why Wang Qian was upset; his people had reported the situation last night.

"Leader Wang, my men were inconsiderate; please don’t take it to heart. We’re allies now, let’s focus on the bigger picture," Darzi said.

"Alright, if there’s anything you want, just say it," Wang Qian said tersely.

"I hope you can find my men and see why they’re not contacting me," Darzi asked.

"Fine, I’ll go find them," Wang Qian said then hung up.

She paused for a moment, shook her head with a sly smile, but had no intention to find them.

Just then, Wang Qian’s phone rang again; it was a brother from Wolf Fang.

"Boss, we just got intel that a family in another district was massacred," the person said.

"What’s it got to do with us?" Wang Qian asked.

"Reliable intel says the killers were black people, and they were also killed last night, and it was brutal,"

"What? Blacks?" Wang Qian exclaimed, thinking black people were rare in China, mostly yellow, and remembering COM’s people. Darzi’s call earlier brought a sudden bad feeling...
