Urban Super Soldier King
Chapter 2014 - 2115: The Ultimate Battle with Wolf Fang
Jieke led a team to the rear of Wolf Fang, intending to seize the opportunity to cut off their escape and distract them. But when they reached the designated location, they realized that Wolf Fang’s reinforcements had already arrived.
Moreover, they didn’t rush forward; instead, after winning a victory, they began to set up camp here, planning to attack once their reinforcements arrived.
Seeing this made Jieke a bit anxious, and then he contacted Tie Zhuzi.
"Commander, the other side is playing it safe. They didn’t split up and are setting up camp here," Jieke said anxiously.
"These damn bastards are smart. Don’t take unnecessary risks. Strike if you have the chance; if not, follow them secretly," Tie Zhuzi ordered.
Jieke was Xi’er’s younger brother, and Tie Zhuzi didn’t want him to take risks.
"I understand," Jieke replied.
After hanging up, Tie Zhuzi paced back and forth nervously. It was his first time commanding a large-scale operation, and he was somewhat flustered.
"Brother Yu, what should I do?" Tie Zhuzi mumbled to himself.
At that moment, Tie Zhuzi’s phone rang; it was Xiang Yu calling.
Tie Zhuzi quickly answered, "Brother Yu, they’ve taken the first echelon, but they didn’t rush to attack and are resting there."
"Zhuzi, don’t panic. Just let the brothers do their best. If it doesn’t work, retreat underground," Xiang Yu said.
"Brother Yu," Tie Zhuzi said with grievance, "I feel suffocated fighting like this. Our forces are just too small."
"Once this battle is over, we will start expanding our influence. Sooner or later, Xiaxu will be ours," Xiang Yu said boldly.
"Yes, Brother Yu, I’m looking forward to that day," Tie Zhuzi replied.
After hanging up, although Xiang Yu didn’t give Tie Zhuzi any pointers, Tie Zhuzi suddenly felt more confident.
About half an hour later, Wolf Fang began their second wave of attack.
In front, armored vehicles paved the way, and behind were Hummers carrying machine cannons. Even though the City Guard Army had cover, they quickly collapsed under the artillery attacks.
The battle was almost entirely one-sided, with no suspense.
Jieke and his team hid in the shadows and saw this scene, cursing in frustration.
"Brothers, are you afraid to die?" Jieke asked the people behind him.
"Following our captain, we’re not afraid of death. Besides, captain, you’re younger than us and not afraid. Why should we be?"
"That’s right. For Sun City, we’ll do anything."
Looking at the brothers behind him, Jieke nodded and said, "Alright, let’s go harass their rear. Remember, we are now a guerrilla unit; we must not get caught in battle—hit once and run."
Everyone understood Jieke’s intention, and then, under his lead, they moved towards Wolf Fang’s rear.
The front line of Wolf Fang was in the midst of heavy bombardment, while the rear was orderly conducting supplies.
Jieke led his men quietly to the rear and then, on his command, launched an attack against Wolf Fang’s rear.
Wolf Fang’s men were unprepared, and their response to the rear assault was somewhat nervous.
But these men were professionally trained, and after a brief panic, they responded and counter-attacked.
Wolf Fang’s team was well-armed and had plenty of personnel, making their counterattack quite terrifying.
Jieke hadn’t expected the opponent’s quick reaction, and he immediately ordered, "Everyone retreat, hurry up!"
Even so, their retreat was still slow, and Wolf Fang’s people pursued them closely.
"Stop fighting, retreat!" Jieke shouted urgently.
Wolf Fang didn’t deploy their entire force, but instead sent out a small squad, with no impact on their main force.
Jieke’s men fell one by one, and his heart ached, but now was not the time to dwell on it.
Wolf Fang’s men were physically strong and pursued quickly.
Jieke realized his carelessness, and seeing the opponent closing in, he abandoned all hope and turned to attack.
After all, it was only a small squad chasing them; the main force hadn’t moved.
"Brothers, our reinforcements are here, let’s fight them!" Jieke shouted with all his might.
The others, unaware of the situation, thought reinforcements had indeed arrived and began shouting too.
"Fight them, kill Wolf Fang’s men!"
Humans have limitless potential, and when stimulated, the power they unleash is immeasurable.
Wolf Fang’s squad was caught off guard by the sudden counterattack and also heard Jieke’s shouts.
"Their reinforcements have arrived; be careful," a small squad leader within Wolf Fang said.
After all, Wolf Fang was playing away and was not familiar with the surroundings, so they didn’t dare advance rashly.
Jieke saw that Wolf Fang really was scared and had everyone start shouting along with him.
"Wolf Fang’s men, surrender quickly; you’re already surrounded," Jieke shouted, then laughed loudly.
Everyone else also shouted, as if they had taken control.
Wolf Fang’s men were skeptical; if reinforcements had really arrived, why hadn’t they attacked? This only meant one thing: the opposition was bluffing.
"Captain, they must be tricking us; let’s charge and take them out," someone said.
The captain shook his head and said, "They’re just a small group, not worth bothering with. We mustn’t disrupt the main force’s formation. You few cover, the rest follow me back."
The captain, after speaking, quietly retreated. They had already assessed Jieke’s situation but didn’t want to engage more to avoid affecting the main force.
Jieke, seeing the enemy starting to retreat, breathed a sigh of relief and lay there exhausted. If he hadn’t thought quickly and decided to fight back, they might have all died there.
"Captain, they retreated. We really tricked them," someone exclaimed excitedly. The feeling of surviving a disaster is indescribable without experiencing it.
"They didn’t believe us; they just didn’t want to waste time fighting us," Jieke said frankly.
The others, hearing this, sat there feeling a bit dejected, with a sense of uselessness.
"Captain, what do we do now?" someone asked.
Jieke smiled wryly, "What else can we do? Wait. I trust the commander will have a plan."
Thinking of Xiang Yu, everyone nodded. To them, Xiang Yu was like a deity, and they believed he would find a way to turn the tide.
Meanwhile, Xiang Yu was quietly approaching Wolf Fang’s base with ten men; he was very familiar with this area, more so than Lin Youyong.
There were many places Lin Youyong hadn’t been to.
Outside Wolf Fang’s base, Xiang Yu placed two snipers as a precaution, while leading eight men to sneak in...
