Urban Super Soldier King
Chapter 2024 - 2125: The Grand Finale and Author’s Thoughts
Xiang Yu didn’t linger, resolutely leaving; the longer he stayed here, the more danger he would bring to Sun Bo and the children.
Xiang Yu hails from China, he’s part of the Special Forces, yet now, the greatest threat to him comes from China.
Xiang Yu could sense that there were people watching him, probably China’s secret agents.
Xiang Yu didn’t pay any attention to them. After leaving Sun Bo’s place, Xiang Yu and Xiaoxuan embarked on their quest.
With five thousand years of history, China has many masters who choose to retreat to the mountains, perhaps tired of the city, or perhaps to escape intrigue.
Regardless, throughout the five thousand years of China, there’s an entire world of hidden mysteries.
Xiang Yu went deep into the mountains to search for a cure for Long Wu.
He and Xiaoxuan started walking south from the north, and each time they reached a place, they studied local records and literature to see if anything strange had happened or if there were any legendary figures.
This process was tedious and long, not something an average person could endure.
During their search, Xiang Yu and his partner made significant discoveries, realizing that almost every place had its legends, and those mysterious figures had inexplicably disappeared.
Initially, Xiang Yu thought they had been recruited by the nation; he’d heard about the Dragon Unit from the army, specifically enlisting those with extraordinary abilities.
Because of this, Xiang Yu specifically sought out Number One.
Number One was surprised by Xiang Yu’s sudden visit, initially thinking his surveillance might have been exposed. Xiang Yu was no ordinary person now; he had to be handled cautiously.
But upon hearing Xiang Yu inquire about the Dragon Unit, Number One relaxed. He informed Xiang Yu that the Dragon Unit indeed exists, sourcing highly skilled individuals from the Special Forces.
If Xiang Yu hadn’t undertaken special missions, he likely would have been part of the Dragon Unit.
After learning about the Dragon Unit, Xiang Yu did not probe further, understanding that such matters were state secrets, sensitive to over-questioning.
The long road continued, with Xiang Yu tirelessly moving forward like a wild stallion, traversing an absurd yet hope-tinged path.
Yet Xiang Yu wasn’t alone; Xiaoxuan accompanied him, and shadowy followers were ever-present. Number One kept close tabs on his every move.
Sun Bo also sent people to follow Xiang Yu and Xiaoxuan, aiming to protect them and stay updated on their situation, ready to assist in times of danger.
A month swiftly passed, bringing Xiang Yu and Xiaoxuan many strange encounters and curious people.
Some could ignite fire with their hands, others chop blades with two fingers, some could see through objects, others touch fire and electricity, and some could connect with thunder.
These individuals defied comprehension. If Xiang Yu hadn’t seen them himself, he wouldn’t have believed it.
"Brother, if we gather these people to form a coalition, their power would be immense," Xiaoxuan joked.
Xiang Yu smiled lightly and replied, "Perhaps they are already organized; we just don’t know about it."
Xiaoxuan paused, then laughed, "How can that be? They appear in different places, each living their own lives, how could they be organized?"
"Have you thought that their appearances might not be coincidental, that someone could be guiding us toward an unknown direction?" Xiang Yu said seriously.
"Brother, you’re getting ahead of yourself," Xiaoxuan laughed.
During this time, Xiaoxuan had been by Xiang Yu’s side, and his personality had become much brighter.
That night, the two of them lit a fire in the wild mountains and fields. Xiaoxuan caught a rabbit and roasted it over the fire, its sizzling sound making mouths water.
"It smells so good! Could I have a bite?"
Just then, a mysterious person appeared beside them, unnoticed by Xiang Yu and Xiaoxuan.
He seemed about twenty years old, dressed in a gray gown, appearing somewhat ethereal and wise.
"Who are you?" Xiaoxuan quickly stood up, on guard.
With Xiang Yu and Xiaoxuan’s battlefield experience, it seemed impossible for someone to approach them unnoticed.
"Relax, you can call me Dragon," the mysterious person joked, grabbing the rabbit meat and started eating.
Xiang Yu gestured for Xiaoxuan to sit down, then looked at the mysterious man and asked, "Where did you come from? What’s your purpose in seeking us out?"
Zhao Long had his mouth full and after a while swallowed the meat, saying, "First off, I must point out, it’s not me seeking you, but you who have been looking for me."
Xiang Yu’s heart skipped, and he quickly queried, "What do you mean? When have I looked for you?"
Zhao Long quickly polished off the rabbit meat, casually wiped his hands to clean off the oil.
Xiang Yu and Xiaoxuan exchanged a glance, both eyes full of puzzlement; the sudden appearance of this person in the wilderness was disconcerting.
"Not seeking me? Could I have misunderstood?" Zhao Long asked, perplexed.
"Do you know about me?" Xiang Yu humbly questioned.
"Call me Dragon, none of this wise or unwise," Zhao Long said, then stood up seriously looking at Xiang Yu, "Are you trying to save Long Wu?"
Upon hearing this, both Xiang Yu and Xiaoxuan’s minds buzzed, experiencing an indescribable sensation.
Xiang Yu hastily nodded, "Yes, it’s for saving Long Wu."
"Who exactly are you? How do you know about us? What’s your goal?" Xiaoxuan pursued.
"I’ve told you all, I’m Zhao Long, the master you’re looking for." Zhao Long said as he began picking his nose.
Looking at his shabby appearance, he didn’t seem like any kind of worldly master at all, but rather like a rogue small-time farmer.
Even though Xiang Yu and his companion didn’t really believe him, they couldn’t help but feel a little hopeful.
"Don’t believe me?" Zhao Long said with a smile.
Xiang Yu shook his head and said, "Brother Long, the more I look at you, the more you seem like a rogue."
Zhao Long: "..., okay, I’ll stop joking with you guys."
Zhao Long finished speaking and looked seriously at Xiang Yu, "Do you really want to save Long Wu?"
At this moment, Zhao Long seemed otherworldly, giving people an unexplainable urge to kneel before him, but Xiang Yu and Xiaoxuan had both been through the battlefield, so they could naturally resist.
"Of course, if you save Long Wu, you can ask for any condition." Xiang Yu said earnestly.
Zhao Long laughed and said, "Are you sure about that?"
"I’m sure!" Xiang Yu said resolutely.
"I want you to come with me." Zhao Long looked into the distance, looking profound and enigmatic.
Xiang Yu, Xiaoxuan: "..."
"You’re not gay, are you?" Xiang Yu asked with an awkward smile.
"You’re the one who’s gay, your whole family is gay. I’m a proper person, and my sexual orientation is definitely not an issue." Zhao Long retorted.
Xiang Yu and Xiaoxuan were both speechless; this person acted profound and enigmatic one moment, and like a common man the next, making it hard for them to figure him out.
"Alright, I’ll stop joking with you." Zhao Long tidied his clothes, then seriously looked at Xiang Yu and said, "Think about it carefully. If you come with me, the road ahead will surely overturn your understanding, everything you’ve seen over the years, and there might even be life-threatening situations."
Xiang Yu also looked at Zhao Long seriously and said, "As long as you can bring Long Wu back to life, I won’t hesitate to follow you, even if it means dying right here right now."
Zhao Long nodded and said, "Once you leave, there’s no telling if you’ll return. Do you have any last wishes?"
Xiang Yu sighed, stayed silent for a long while, and then said, "I’ve spent my life on the battlefield, and I’ve let many people down. I’ve let down the brothers who risked their lives with me, I abandoned them and ran away alone; I let down Ning Xiaolu, I let down Lan Tingting, I let down Zhong Qin, and of course, Zhong Min as well."
Xiang Yu turned to Xiaoxuan and said, "The brothers suffered because of me, if it weren’t for me, Zhuzi wouldn’t have lost his arm."
"Brother..."
Xiaoxuan wanted to speak, but Xiang Yu stopped him with a gesture.
"If there’s any regret left, it’s that I couldn’t lead the brothers to the world, couldn’t catch Commander Cao myself. Zhong Min left me because Commander Cao gave the orders back then," Xiang Yu sighed.
"Don’t be so sentimental. I’m taking you away, you might come back one day, and it’s not like I’m sending you to your death. The end of this story could be the beginning of another, life’s long, why hold on to things," Zhao Long said and patted Xiang Yu’s shoulder in a friendly manner.
"You’re really not gay?" Xiang Yu pushed his arm off.
"Come on, don’t doubt my orientation, alright? I’m a normal person," Zhao Long said, and then, "Since that’s the case, then come with me."
"You haven’t cured Long Wu yet," Xiang Yu suddenly said.
Zhao Long smiled mysteriously and said nothing. Just then, Xiang Yu’s phone suddenly rang. It was a call from Liu Yuhang.
"Brother Yu, Brother Yu, Long Wu woke up..."
The end of the book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
End of book sentiment
The end of one story is the beginning of another, a long road lies ahead, with many unknowns for Xiang Yu to explore.
Xiang Yu’s life is full of thrills, and of course, excitement too.
Many beauties were infatuated with him, crazy for him, and of course, he has been with many beauties too, ahem...
I am the Fox Under the Tree, and "Urban Super Soldier King" has finally reached its end today. There are so many feelings I want to express, but I don’t know where to start, nor do I know where to begin writing.
I wonder what those of you who’ve stuck it out till this point think, and which character in the book left the deepest impression on you.
The first Chapter of this book was uploaded on September 6, 2013, and as of today, it’s been nearly three years, three years of serialization, three years of persistence, and I have too many mixed emotions thinking about it.
First of all, I have to thank my chief editor Yisuo for discovering me and this book, and then successfully signing it up. Secondly, I owe thanks to editor Mingyue, who has been guiding and encouraging me to keep writing.
Most importantly, I owe my deepest gratitude to all the readers who have followed me from the start till now, always supporting Fox Under the Tree, and to those who rewarded me. Without your support, I wouldn’t be where I am now, and without it, I might still be lost on the writing path, unsure of my direction.
There are also some friends who didn’t stick around till the end, but I still want to thank them for having read my work.
Perhaps this novel did not create a spiritual shock for you, but it surely brought you some joy, and for that, I am content.
Finally, I want to thank this book. Three years is a long time, and it accompanied me through so many stories. Without it, my life would be lonely and monotonous.
Xiang Yu has become integrated into my life; whenever I close my eyes, his image appears in front of me, as if smiling at me.
I am Fox Under the Tree, thank you all for sticking with me, and I hope you continue to support me. My new book, "The CEO’s Personal Bodyguard," is being serialized, which tells the story of Zhao Long. Later in the story, there will be a showdown between Zhao Long and Xiang Yu. You’re welcome to read it...
