Venerable Demon Chef
Chapter 273 - 270: Then Just Kneel
"It’s finally here!"
Li Yuanhao breathed a sigh of relief, but he was also stunned by the spatial fissure.
He hadn’t expected Mo Qi to be able to create something so terrifying.
Zhongli and the others were completely dumbfounded.
"Is... Is that a spatial fissure? How is that possible?!"
Even the clash of Half-Immortal Level powers hadn’t been able to tear space, yet Li Yuanhao managed it with just a few simple gestures?!
If they hadn’t seen it with their own eyes, they would never have believed it.
After all, the records stated that only a true Immortal could tear space!
After a brief moment of shock, Li Yuanhao was the first to react.
He feigned disdain and said, "How ignorant."
"Alright, everyone, follow me!"
With that, he leaped into the spatial fissure.
"This..."
Zhongli and the others were shocked again.
Rumor had it that the Energy inside a spatial fissure was incredibly unstable—violent and tyrannical. Anyone below the Immortal Realm would die on contact.
But the Young Prince had jumped in so brazenly, without a hint of preparation!
’How did he do it?’
"Ancestor, what should we do?" someone asked.
Zhongli was silent. With his knowledge, he couldn’t figure it all out in such a short time.
He dared not follow rashly, but he also dared not disobey Li Yuanhao.
For a moment, he hesitated, bringing everything to a standstill.
Just then, a figure flashed in the spatial fissure, and Li Yuanhao appeared before everyone again.
"What? Do you need a personal invitation to enter?" Li Yuanhao asked with a frown.
"Young Prince, may I ask..." someone began to ask, but was stopped by Zhongli.
"Forgive our ignorance, Young Prince. We were so amazed by the spatial fissure that we were lost in the moment. We ask for your forgiveness."
"We shall enter at once."
Saying this, Zhongli took the lead and jumped into the spatial fissure.
"Everyone, keep up. If the Young Prince wanted to kill us, with his status, why would he need to bother with a spatial fissure?" Hearing Zhongli’s telepathic message, the others could only brace themselves and follow.
Zhang Shao had originally wanted to jump in with them, but he held back in the end.
Li Yuanhao had clearly shown no intention of letting him enter, and Zhang Shao didn’t want to make himself unwelcome.
What he didn’t know was that because of this decision, he had narrowly avoided disaster.
...
Zhongli had assumed that even if there was some hidden world inside the spatial fissure, the passage through it would be extremely unpleasant for him.
After all, his strength was still far, far from that of an Immortal.
However, he felt no discomfort.
He saw none of the legendary Space Storms; even the Power of Space was so faint it was absurd.
This wasn’t a spatial fissure at all, it was clearly a Transmission Channel!
’Just where is the Young Prince teleporting us?’
Before he could think more, Zhongli’s vision brightened, and his feet touched solid ground.
The teleportation was complete!
Having arrived in an unfamiliar place, he instinctively summoned his Grotto Heaven to shield himself.
When he focused his gaze, the first thing he saw was a smiling young man.
On the young man’s shoulder stood a strange Demon Beast with the head of a dog and the body of a bird. By the hand, he led a beautiful little girl who looked to be about ten years old.
Behind him was a group of experts with powerful auras, as well as a large group of young and beautiful women.
Who else could it be but Mo Qi!
SWISH! SWISH! SWISH!
The other members of the Wuji Sect also arrived one after another, with Li Yuanhao landing last.
The moment he appeared, the Transmission Channel closed.
"It’s you!"
Zhongli recognized Mo Qi immediately.
"You’re the one who slaughtered our Wuji Sect disciples!"
One man, one beast, and one little girl—the combination was too conspicuous, too easy to recognize.
At these words, all the members of the Wuji Sect turned to Mo Qi, their eyes blazing with killing intent.
"You’re the one who crushed my Realm Divine Thought!" an old man roared, pointing at Mo Xiao. It was Han Wen, the Wuji Sect Elder who had once manifested in the mortal city.
Mo Qi seemed oblivious to their hostility. He flashed a wide, toothy grin and said, "Welcome to my territory."
When he emerged from the Wolf Fang Sect’s Secret Realm, he had arrived just in time for the final showdown between Zhongli and the four Wolf Fang Sect Ancestors.
As Half-Immortal Level power swept across the area, he hadn’t hesitated for a moment. He immediately connected with the Heart of the Dragon Vein, opened a Transmission Channel leading Within the Pass, and pulled Li Yuanhao and the others inside to hide.
During this time, the Chaos Scripture provided him with a piece of information about the Ancient Ice Ant Larva, which gave him an idea.
And so, he had Li Yuanhao step forward and lure Zhongli and his group inside.
"Your territory?" Zhongli sneered.
He paid no mind to Mo Qi, who was merely at the Refining Essence Cultivation level. Instead, he looked warily at the people standing behind him.
Mo Xiao, Hu Yao’er, Old Tomb Digger, and Wu the Old Ghost—four experts at the Void Realm.
To Zhongli, only they were worthy of his attention.
SHING!
The jade-green longsword appeared in his hand once again.
"A life for a life has been the rule since ancient times. However, out of respect for the Young Prince, I will allow you to take one strike from my sword. After that single strike, whether you live or die, all grievances between us will be wiped clean!"
Zhongli didn’t know what the relationship was between these people and Li Yuanhao, but it was obvious that Li Yuanhao was on their side.
Though a thousand times unwilling in his heart, he could only resort to tough talk to give himself a graceful way out of the situation.
Though he spoke of a single strike, he would surely hold back and not harm Mo Qi or his companions in the slightest.
He expected that upon seeing his devastating longsword, Mo Qi’s group would be on high alert, or at the very least, show some tension.
In reality, however, most of the people on Mo Qi’s side looked as if they were watching a spectacle. Some were even pointing and chattering amongst themselves with amusement.
As for Li Yuanhao, he wore an expectant expression and showed no intention of intervening.
This made Zhongli realize something was terribly wrong, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on it.
"In my territory, without my permission, you cannot use your sword," Mo Qi said slowly, as if stating the obvious.
"Because here, I am your Sovereign!"
A growing unease filled Zhongli’s heart, forcing him to take Mo Qi seriously.
But no matter how he probed, Mo Qi truly only had a Refining Essence Cultivation.
In Zhongli’s eyes, a Cultivator of this level was no different from dust or an ant.
"You don’t believe me?" Mo Qi smiled, raising a hand. "Then you may as well kneel." 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
The moment his voice fell, the expressions of everyone from the Wuji Sect, including Zhongli, changed dramatically.
An irresistible, immense power descended from the heavens, pressing down on them in an instant.
BOOM!
Before anyone could even react, they were brutally forced to the ground by this power.
Those with weaker wills found their legs giving out, and they knelt before Mo Qi.
The proud and unyielding among them had their leg bones shatter at the knee, but they too were unable to escape the fate of kneeling.
Zhongli belonged to the latter group.
The excruciating pain from his lower body, coupled with the humiliation of being forced to his knees, made him temporarily forget all about Li Yuanhao’s presence.
"I’ll kill you! Extreme Martial Cyan Wave Slash!"
He frantically channeled the small amount of True Essence and stamina he had just recovered, executing his Sword Technique and once again unleashing a Half-Immortal Level power to strike at Mo Qi.
"I already told you, this is my territory. Why bother struggling?"
Mo Qi leisurely extended two fingers and moved to pinch the blade of light.
TING!
A faint chime echoed.
The Sword Technique that had once allowed him to defeat four of the Wolf Fang Sect’s Ancestors single-handedly was now caught securely between Mo Qi’s two fingers.
