Vengeance in His Bed
Chapter 108: She Harbors a Burning Hatred for My Very Existence
Dorrent went completely silent, his towering frame locking into frozen stillness in the middle of the room. The young doctor’s challenging words seemed to echo off the walls, hitting the billionaire tycoon with the physical force of a blunt object.
Allow Jannah to leave this estate? Let Damian Boren carry her fragile, broken body away to some private lower-sector apartment?
The mere thought of it sent a chaotic wave of possessiveness straight through Dorrent’s S-tier Alpha instincts. He absolutely could not allow Jannah to stay far away from him. It was completely out of the question. If she left his sight, who on earth would take care of his dead cock? He was already intensely missing the tight friction of being inside her soft, warm body, and his mind was burning with the desperate, primal urge for her to get better as soon as possible. He couldn’t risk her safety or her availability by giving her away to this arrogant Mafia doctor. If it meant her survival and her treatment, his pride would just have to take the hit—he would have to let Damian stay at the Grefo estate.
Dorrent’s jaw clenched so tightly. He opened his mouth, his silver eyes flashing with fire as he prepared to lay down a suffocating set of house rules. "Fine. You stay. But under one strict condition—"
"Since Damian is Jannah’s boyfriend, Dorrent, you need not worry so much about her safety or her care," Joanne suddenly cut him short, her voice slicing through his sentence with a flawless precision.
Internally, Joanne’s mind was spinning with a sudden, deep bewilderment. She had not known that specific part of the information until this exact second. It seemed Jannah and Damian had completely manufactured a lie, telling Dorrent they were in a serious relationship. She wondered why a penniless slum girl would think of creating such a fake shield, but true to her elite training, she kept her face neutral. She had to play along with the deception to ensure the long-term plan worked.
She stepped closer to Dorrent, placing a gentle, reassuring hand on his tense arm, her eyes shining with comforting warmth. "She will be in the safest possible hands with the man who loves her. We should let Damian do his job without any more hostility."
Dorrent felt a wave of fury crash against his chest. He felt completely cornered under his own roof, his fists tightening inside his pockets until his knuckles popped. He couldn’t say a single word to dispute Joanne’s logic without revealing the hidden biological truth, and any further aggression would only lead to more dangerous suspicions from his fiancé.
Forcing his breathing into a flat, icy rhythm, Dorrent slowly pulled his arm away from her touch, his voice dropping into a rasp. "Of course I hope she will be."
Shadron immediately stepped forward, desperately trying to break the suffocating tension before the entire room exploded. He checked his watch, his eyes scanning the group. "There is no time left to waste standing around arguing. The clock is ticking down on her system. Let’s head outside immediately." He looked at Dorrent and Damian, his posture locking into a serious line. "We will go straight to the hospital right now to bring Jannah back to the estate."
Within minutes, the three men had left the lounge, leaving Joanne and Damian behind as they marched out to the front driveway. Dorrent and Shadron climbed into the front seats of the car. The engine let out a deep, synchronized roar, and the vehicle tore through the estate gates, heading down the highway toward the medical center.
The silence inside the front cabin was incredibly heavy. Dorrent stared fixedly at the road ahead, his hands gripping the steering wheel with enough pressurized force to deform the leather.
Shadron glanced at his friend’s rigid, sweat-coated profile, finally leaning over to speak .
"You are in a catastrophic mess, Dorrent," Shadron hissed, his voice full of genuine worry for his best friend’s sanity. "How on earth are you going to handle this insane level of emotional and physical pressure inside the house? Having her boyfriend living under your roof, touching her body for treatment every day while you watch from the sidelines... it’s going to drive your Alpha instincts completely feral. I honestly think the only logical way out of this disaster is to finally tell your father, Guron, the truth about your biology."
Dorrent didn’t move a single muscle, his eyes remaining fixed on the asphalt. "You don’t know what you’re asking, Shadron."
"Think about it, brother!" Shadron urged in a tight, desperate voice. "Tell him that it is only Jannah Nenth’s touch that can make you hard. Tell him your manhood is completely dead for anyone else. Maybe when Guron hears that data, he will immediately terminate this arranged marriage with the Moscow family, because the current layout is just deeply hurting Joanne. If you can’t raise it up for her after three years of trying, then you better just let her go so that she can find another man who can actually please her body well."
Dorrent let out a chuckle that sounded incredibly cold in the dark cabin. He flicked his silver eyes toward the rearview mirror before casting a mocking glance at his best friend. "I know perfectly well that you wish to be that man, Shadron. Your eyes were practically eating her alive in that crimson dress earlier."
Shadron’s breath caught for a fraction of a second, but he didn’t deny the underlying tension.
"Let me tell you something straight, brother," Dorrent rumbled, his voice dropping into a flat, unbothered register. "If you wish to have her, you can take her. I don’t give a damn. Besides, I have never, ever penetrated Joanne’s body. I have only used my fingers and my tongue to keep her quiet. She is entirely at your disposal if you want to climb into her bed."
Shadron blinked in surprise, but he quickly shook his head, brushing the distraction away to focus on the core crisis. "This isn’t about my desires, Dorrent. It’s about your survival. Why can’t you just confront Guron with the medical truth?"
"Because it is not as simple as you think, Shadron," Dorrent whispered, his jaw clenching as the weight of his family’s corporate greed pressed down on his shoulders. "It’s not like I wouldn’t want to tell my father the truth to save myself from this nightmare. It’s just that... my father would never, ever let the alliance with Joanne’s parents go easily. The strategic merger between the Moscow Railway Company and our firm is too important to our survival. That specific railway grid is the only asset that will help our company, Gammer Technology, grow into a global monopoly. Guron values that market expansion far more than my personal happiness."
Shadron frowned, his mind mapping out the family dynamics. "But you know how obsessed Guron is with the family line, Dorrent. He wants a grandson more than anything in this world to inherit the empire. The moment he learns that Jannah is the only woman capable of giving him a biological grandchild from your loins, he might completely change his mind and dump the Moscow alliance."
"No, it won’t be that easy with a man as ruthless as my father," Dorrent stated flatly, his silver eyes swamping with dread. "If I tell Guron the truth about my condition, his greedy mind might just decide on a completely different, horrific layout. He might simply command that Jannah get pregnant for me, making me to father the baby with her to secure the grandchild, while still forcing me to legally marry Joanne to secure the merger. He would make me keep both women trapped in my life like slaves."
Shadron let out a stunned breath, realizing the terrifying accuracy of his friend’s prediction. "Honestly... knowing Guron, that is exactly what he would do. But even if that happens... that layout is also not entirely bad for your dick, is it? At least you would get to keep Jannah in your bed legally for the breeding process."
"It is bad, Shadron," Dorrent added, his voice cracking slightly with a sudden internal torment as the car pulled into the glowing, neon-lit driveway of the high-district hospital. "You don’t know about her lineage. Jannah has to first fall completely in love with me in order to get pregnant with my child. The physical friction isn’t enough to trigger the conception." 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Shadron stepped out of the car as they parked, leaning back through the open door to look at his friend. "Then the solution is simple, brother. You just need to use your power and make her fall for you."
Dorrent turned off the ignition, his eyes swamping with hopeless darkness as he stared at the hospital entrance, his final words dropping into the quiet car.
"She might never, ever fall for me, Shadron... because beneath that quiet medical mask, that girl harbors such a vicious, burning hatred for my very existence that she wants me dead."
