They were silent. Trevor raised his head for the first time since the conversation had begun. It was as though her words had finally brought out the truth she had been hiding for the past few weeks.

Trevor, not wanting to make the situation any more awkward than it already was, decided to say his final goodbye.

"Well, thank you for understanding what I am saying. I will be on my way now," Trevor said calmly as he gradually began to move toward the door. He would have really loved to stay, but there was simply no way he could remain any longer.

"Okay... thank you for all the company you have given me these past few days," Rose said softly as she hugged him very tightly, sobbing gently.

With that, Trevor finally left the house.

โ€™Finally, the whole bread factory situation has been settled.โ€™ Although Trevor felt a mix of emotions, there was nothing much he could have done for her in the first place.

Trevor took a deep breath and, without thinking much about it, proceeded on his way back home.

Yet his mind kept replaying what he had just experienced with her over and over again. Maybe he should have stayed at the job a little longer, at least to try and comfort her.

Trevor knew who Rose was at the bakery. She was seen as feared and wicked by most of the workers.

Why?

Because Rose was a no-nonsense person. She would always lash out if she discovered that someone had stolen bread or if anyone treated a customer badly.

She was known to pay very well, even higher than other competitors in the niche, but she also found it very easy to fire anyone she deemed unfit.

So she came across as a strict, unforgiving, and unapproachable boss.

Even Trevor, when he was new, thought of her in exactly the same way.

But he had worked extra shifts just to win her favor, always complimenting her dress just so she would notice him. Eventually, it began to work.

With time, he was finally able to gain her trust, and that was when she started allowing him to take bread home for his family.

Yes, the pay she gave the workers might have been higher than that of other competitors.

It was definitely enough to support a standard home.

Most of the workers were probably those who were not currently in school and needed something to sustain themselves before moving on to something better.

But obviously, this was never meant to be permanent for anyone. The pay, although good, was not worth staying for life.

Trevor finally got into the Uber he had ordered and went straight back home.

For the rest of the day, he remained deeply troubled about the entire situation.

Eventually, he decided to go back to the bakery at night to speak with Rose.

He simply could not stop himself. The image of the tears in her eyes when he left kept replaying in his mind. The warmth of her embrace, how tightly she had held him, her soft sobs... everything lingered.

He dressed in casual attire that night and walked over to the bakery since it was not far from where he and his mother lived.

But to his surprise, it was locked.

The shock forced Trevor to move closer just to confirm it for himself, because that had never happened before.

Miss Rose had never been late to work, let alone fail to open the shop.

He brought out his phone and checked the time. It was exactly 11 p.m.

The bread store usually opened by 10 p.m.

So it was clear that something had come up.

Trevorโ€™s mind went through several possibilities, but after a while, he decided to just go back home. He would probably visit again if he had time next weekend.

After all, it was already too late. ๐™›๐’“๐’†๐™š๐’˜๐’†๐“ซ๐™ฃ๐“ธ๐™ซ๐“ฎ๐’.๐’„๐’๐“ถ

Trevor walked through the cold night back to his room, unaware that there was a clue he had completely failed to notice.

*****

The morning sky was brighter than ever. Trevor was already dressed, standing in front of his bathroom mirror. He had gone out early that morning to get some food supplies, and his tired eyes revealed how exhausted he was.

With a slight swing of his bag, he turned and headed straight to school.

He walked as usual, and in no time, he had arrived.

Much earlier than expected.

As soon as he got in, he pulled out his phone almost immediately as a notification buzzed in his pocket.

It was Caroline.

"Hello, sorry about yesterday. Iโ€™m really sorry, but something serious came up. Iโ€™ll explain everything once you get to school. If you come early, that would be even better."

Trevor sensed the urgency in her message and could not help but feel worried.

Had he gotten himself into trouble with Mr. Roseman?

Was he coming after him?

Or worse... had he discovered that Trevor was related to the head of the Aviators?

Trevor had so many questions running through his mind that it became overwhelming.

He began walking even faster than usual, still staring at his phone screen, hoping another message would appear.

As he walked, he suddenly collided with someone who was approaching from the opposite direction at speed.

In an instant, Trevor found himself on top of her, his face buried in her soft chest.

His body reacted instinctively despite his attempt to control himself.

Then reality struck him.

He should not just be apologizing - he needed to get off her immediately.

"Iโ€™m so sorry, it was a mistake," Trevor said quickly as he scrambled to his feet, hoping she had not noticed anything inappropriate.

But the moment he looked at her, his mouth fell open.

Miss Bella stood before him, wearing a beautiful fitted gown that extended below her knees. It was modest, yet the fullness of her figure made it appear slightly revealing.

Trevor froze.

He could not speak.

Students nearby had already begun casting glances in their direction.

Just the previous week, Miss Bella had slapped a boy across the face three times for mistakenly brushing against her.

She was one of the most loved teachers in the school.

But there was one thing everyone knew for certain.

She never took situations like this lightly.

Author note: in future Chapters miss rose agenda would soon be clear after her and trevor crosses part again

But for now I had to develop her character a little
