The corridor was empty, and he moved through it without sound, keeping close to the wall.

He opted for a stealthier approach since his primary target was Vance.

At the same time, he wanted to test whether he still had what it took to move in silence with an adult-sized body.

Even in a situation like this, he didn’t forget to train both his mind and body.

’There’s cameras everywhere, so I need to handle it first.’

Along the way, guards crossed his path. He dealt with them quickly.

To avoid anyone finding the dead bodies, he also cleared the nearby rooms, taking out the occupants inside and leaving no chance for them to call for help.

Only after the area fell silent did he continue toward the control room.

Inside, two guards sat lazily at a desk. Coffee cups half empty.

One leaned back in his chair. The other tapped a pen against the table while watching the screens without interest.

They did not notice the door open.

He entered like a shadow breaking into light, grabbed a butter knife from the desk, then drove it into the first victim’s eye.

In the same stance, he yanked it free and struck the second guard at the back of the head.

It all happened so fast that no one even had time to scream.

click!

He shut down the CCTV feed, then devour the two livers before heading out through the window.

His feet barely settled on the dry ground, and he was already moving toward a guard sitting on one of the benches.

"What—"

A hand shot out and locked onto the guard’s neck. The only thing he heard was a wet crack before his vision went dark.

Francis immediately grabbed the corpse by the collar and set it back into the seat. Now, if anyone saw it, they would only think he was sleeping.

’Next.’

The second guard was on a perimeter loop along the east side of the compound.

Francis picked up the footsteps through vibration sense.

Meanwhile, faint traces from the other two guards reached him, letting him map their rough positions within fifty meters.

Francis adjusted his stance and moved off the wall, cutting through space between cover points.

He met the next guard mid-turn. A quick step brought him inside reach, and a chop to the throat crushed the guard’s windpipe.

This time, Francis grabbed the corpse and placed it into one of the container.

The remaining guards were still active, but not for long. They were taken out cleanly, one after another.

’Now for the main target.’

With the perimeter clear, he used the opening and jumped over the fence.

A group of bikers stood outside, nearly thirty of them.

They laughed loudly, filling the area with noise. Bottles were in their hands, and from the way they moved, it was clear they had been drinking for a long time already.

He stayed back and watched from a distance.

’I need to make sure their leader is there before I made a move. But if I kept stalling, the chance of me being found out—’

He stopped mid-thought and shook his head.

Being in a human body had pulled him too deep into old habits, and he did not like where it was going.

’What am I doing... I’m a monster,’

His eyes sharpened as the thought settled. The pressure he had been holding back started to slip through the cracks.

Killing intent, kept under control, began to surface.

It showed faintly in his expression. A twisted smile formed, not from joy, but from something darker pressing against his restraint.

’They’re criminals who deal drugs. Only the worst death will satisfy me.’

The words did not calm him. Instead, they added weight to the tension building inside his chest.

.

One of the bikers had dragged out a portable speaker, and music thumped under the noise.

Nobody was watching the perimeter.

No one felt the need to. They were too used to being the kings of this place. The idea that someone might target them never even crossed their minds.

"—and then he just fell off the bike completely naked!" one of them wheezed, nearly doubling over.

The group burst out laughing, the sound bouncing off the walls of the compound.

Then one of them glanced toward the far end of the lot.

His laughter slowed.

A figure in a plain white shirt and black trousers was walking straight toward them.

"Hey."

The others didn’t catch it at first, too busy laughing.

"Hey." Louder this time.

The group turned one by one, the laughter cutting off in uneven stops as they spotted the approaching figure.

"What are you doing here? Get back to your quarters right away!"

No answer.

The figure kept walking at the same pace.

A bald man near the front straightened up and pushed off the vehicle he had been leaning on.

"Stop!"

Still no answer.

His expression darkened. He reached behind his back and pulled out a short shotgun, racking the slide.

"I said stop, fucker!" He leveled the barrel. "Or I’ll—"

crack!

His body left the ground before anyone understood what hit him. He shot upward fast, and the wall received him at full speed.

crash!

The man went through and hit the interior floor with a sound like a sack of wet concrete dropped from height.

It took a couple of seconds before the others reacted.

"WHERE IS HE—"

"FIND HIM—"

"SPREAD OUT—"

Flashlight beams cut across the lot in every direction, crossing each other, finding nothing useful.

Francis was already in the air.

A rusted metal pipe came down with him and slammed into a biker.

Bone cracked on impact. The skull was driven out of place and pushed downward through the body, tearing through everything in its path until it finally stopped near the stomach.

BANG.

A gun went off as someone’s trigger finger clenched on reflex.

Francis dodged at the last moment, slipping out of the line of fire.

Without stopping his momentum, he brought the rusted pipe around again.

It connected hard, and the force of the swing tore through the shooter’s body, dropping him in two uneven halves.
