Villainess Breaker: Raising Broken Beauties Against Destiny
Chapter 40: Damian’s Crazy Disciple Gifts
The next morning, Damian finally walked out of his room after resting for the entire night.
Damian stretched his body lazily and let out a long yawn. "Damn... sleeping in a real bed really feels different after running around that damn forest."
After saying that, he slowly walked toward the garden like usual, and the moment he arrived there, he immediately saw Violetta sitting calmly beneath the tree.
But unlike before, she was not alone.
Vulkara was sitting beside her with her arms crossed, looking somewhat awkward and uncomfortable.
Her hair had already been cleaned, and she was now wearing a simple set of clean clothes that Violetta had prepared for her.
Although her expression was still fierce and annoyed, she looked much better than the half-dead stray dog Damian had dragged back yesterday.
Damian looked at the two of them and smiled. "Looks like you two are getting along."
Vulkara immediately frowned. "Who is getting along with her? I just happened to sit here."
Violetta only smiled gently. "Junior Sister is still shy."
Vulkara’s eyebrow twitched. "Who the hell is shy?"
Damian laughed lightly before waving his hand. "Alright, alright. Vulkara, for now, just stay beside Violetta first. You’re still new here, so let your senior sister teach you how things work in this residence."
Vulkara crossed her arms and clicked her tongue. "Tch. Fine."
Then Damian turned toward Violetta and suddenly took out a jade bottle from his storage ring. "Violetta, here. Let me give you this."
The moment the jade bottle appeared, even before it was opened, a faint but extremely dense medicinal fragrance already drifted into the air.
Violetta looked at the bottle, then calmly received it with both hands. The moment she opened it, a rich wave of spiritual Qi immediately spread out.
Inside the bottle were several round pills that carried an aura so dense and pure that even the air around them seemed to tremble slightly.
They were Top-Rank Noble Grade Spirit Gathering Pills.
Violetta’s eyes widened slightly, but unlike before, she did not panic or refuse. Instead, she simply smiled and carefully closed the bottle. "Thank you, Master. I will use them properly."
Damian smiled in satisfaction. "Good. Continue cultivating. I still need to go out for a while."
Violetta nodded gently. "Safe travels, Master."
Damian nodded back before turning around and leaving the courtyard, not even bothering to explain the value of the pills.
To him, this was just another investment for his greatest treasure chest.
But to Vulkara, the scene she had just witnessed was completely insane.
The moment Damian disappeared from the courtyard, Vulkara immediately turned toward Violetta with wide eyes. "Wait... wait a damn minute."
Violetta looked at her calmly. "What is it, Junior Sister?"
Vulkara pointed at the jade bottle in her hand. "How can you just receive that like it’s nothing?"
Violetta tilted her head slightly. "Because Master gave it to me."
Vulkara’s mouth twitched. "That’s not the point!"
She leaned closer, staring at the bottle with disbelief. "Do you even know what that is? Just smelling the aroma alone, I can tell those pills are terrifyingly high quality."
Violetta nodded gently. "Yes. They are Top-Rank Noble Grade Spirit Gathering Pills."
The moment she heard that, Vulkara froze completely, staring at Violetta as if she had suddenly lost the ability to speak.
Then her voice cracked slightly. "Top-Rank... Noble Grade?"
Violetta nodded again. "Yes."
Vulkara almost jumped from her seat. "Are you insane?! Do you know how valuable those are?!"
Her red eyes stared at the jade bottle as if she was looking at something impossible.
"Even the inner disciples in my sect would go crazy for something like that! No, even some elders might want it! And you’re only in the Qi Refining Realm!"
Violetta only smiled gently. "Yes, I know."
Vulkara became even more shocked. "You know, and you still accepted it so calmly?"
Violetta looked down at the bottle in her hand, then smiled softly. "Of course. This is just a gift from Master to his disciple. What’s wrong with that?"
Vulkara’s face stiffened, repeating her words in disbelief. "What’s wrong with that? Everything is wrong with that! Nothing is free in this world!"
Violetta looked at her quietly.
Vulkara clenched her fists slightly. "People don’t give treasures like this for no reason. If someone gives you something this valuable, then they must want something even bigger from you later."
Violetta looked at her and understood why Vulkara thought that way, because she had once thought the same thing too. But now, she already understood her master’s habits better.
Violetta gently placed the jade bottle on the table and spoke calmly. "You’re right. Nothing is free in this world."
Vulkara frowned. "Then why are you acting like this is normal?"
Violetta smiled faintly. "Because I already know what Master wants."
Vulkara’s expression changed slightly. "What does he want?"
Violetta looked toward the direction Damian had left, and her voice became softer. "He wants me to become stronger. He wants me to live properly. And maybe... he wants me to stay by his side."
Vulkara stared at her in shock, and after a moment, she clicked her tongue and looked away. "You’re crazy if you think that."
Violetta smiled. "Maybe."
Vulkara glanced at her again. "No, not maybe. You are definitely crazy."
Violetta only continued smiling.
Vulkara then looked at the jade bottle again, and her eyes twitched.
"But still... Top-Rank Noble Grade Spirit Gathering Pills for a Qi Refining cultivator? That’s too much. That bastard is crazy."
Violetta chuckled softly. "Yes. Master is crazy too."
For a moment, Vulkara didn’t know whether to laugh or curse.
She had thought that after entering Damian’s residence, she would slowly understand what kind of person he was.
But now, she felt even more confused. What kind of master casually gave Top-Rank Noble Grade pills to a Qi Refining disciple?
Vulkara rubbed her forehead, feeling a headache coming. "This place... is insane."
Violetta smiled gently and poured another cup of tea for her. "Don’t worry, Junior Sister. You’ll get used to it."
Vulkara stared at the tea, then at Violetta, before finally clicking her tongue again. "Tch. I don’t think I want to get used to this."
Even so, she did not stand up and leave.
Instead, she quietly stayed beside Violetta, still staring at the jade bottle from time to time.
And deep inside her heart, a strange thought slowly appeared.
If Damian could casually give Violetta something this precious... then what kind of thing would he give her in the future?
The moment that thought appeared, Vulkara quickly shook her head and cursed inwardly.
"Damn it... don’t get tempted. That bastard is dangerous."
But even though she told herself that, her eyes still unconsciously drifted toward the jade bottle again.
Violetta noticed it and smiled faintly, but she did not expose her, as it made Vulkara look quite funny and cute to her.
