Chapter 69: A Rich Master Feels Different

After leaving the main peak, Selvara did not bring Damian back to her mountain immediately.

Instead, she turned toward another large mountain covered in a sharp metallic aura.

Damian looked ahead and saw a massive hall built against the mountainside. Countless swords were displayed along the outer walls, each one releasing a faint spiritual glow.

Above the entrance, two large words were carved into a stone plaque.

[Weapon Hall]

Damian’s eyes brightened slightly. "Master, are we here to get a weapon?"

Selvara nodded calmly. "You are my disciple now. You cannot keep using unsuitable equipment."

Damian blinked. "But my current sword is already Top-Rank Profound Grade."

Selvara glanced at him. "Too low."

Damian’s mouth twitched.

Top-Rank Profound Grade was already something many Foundation Establishment cultivators could only dream about, but in Selvara’s mouth, it sounded like some cheap kitchen knife.

Before Damian could speak, Selvara continued, "At the very least, my disciple should use a Noble Grade sword."

Damian silently looked at her for a moment.

"Damn..." he muttered. "Having a rich master really feels different."

Selvara ignored his comment and walked into the Weapon Hall.

The disciples inside immediately bowed when they saw her. "Greetings, Elder Selvara!"

Selvara only nodded lightly before leading Damian deeper inside.

Rows of swords floated in the air, each surrounded by protective formations.

Damian looked around with shining eyes, but Selvara did not let him choose randomly.

She swept her gaze across the swords, then raised her hand. A long sword flew down from one of the upper shelves.

The sword was dark silver, simple in design, but its edge carried a cold, heavy sharpness.

"This is a Low-Rank Noble Grade sword," Selvara said. "It is stable, durable, and suitable for your current realm."

Damian caught the sword carefully.

The moment his hand touched the hilt, he felt a sharp chill run through his palm.

His grin slowly appeared. "Not bad."

Selvara looked at him. "It is better than not bad."

Damian coughed lightly. "Yes, Master. Very good."

After that, Selvara brought him to another mountain.

This place was quieter than the Weapon Hall, but the aura was even more mysterious.

A tall pavilion stood beneath an ancient tree, and countless jade slips floated behind transparent barriers.

[Scripture Pavilion]

Damian immediately understood. "Sword art?"

Selvara nodded. "Your current sword art is too simple."

Damian quickly said, "But my Mountain Breaking Sword Art is Low-Rank Noble Grade."

Selvara looked at him calmly. "So?"

Damian froze. "So... isn’t that already good?"

"You can have more than one sword art," Selvara said. "A single heavy sword art is useful, but if your opponent understands your pattern, you will become easy to read."

Damian touched his chin. "That... actually makes sense."

Selvara continued, "You need a proper Heavenly Sword Sect sword art. Something sharper, faster, and more refined."

Damian looked at the floating jade slips and smiled. "Alright, Master. Then let’s see what kind of good stuff this sect has."

Selvara’s eyes narrowed slightly. "Do not get greedy."

Damian immediately became serious. "Of course not."

Then he quietly added in his heart, "Only a little."

---

Inside the Scripture Pavilion, countless jade slips floated quietly behind transparent barriers.

Damian looked at them one by one, and honestly, he really wanted to take everything.

Unfortunately, Selvara was standing beside him.

Her gaze was already warning him not to act like a starving thief, so Damian forced himself to behave.

After looking for a while, Selvara raised her hand and pointed toward two jade slips floating near the middle section. "Those two suit you."

Damian looked over and saw two jade slips. One glowed with faint red light, while the other flickered with small arcs of lightning.

Selvara waved her sleeve, and both jade slips flew into her hand.

"The first one is [Burning Edge Sword Art]," she said calmly. "Mid-Rank Noble Grade. A flame-element sword art focused on sharp burning cuts and continuous pressure."

Then she raised the second jade slip. "The second one is [Thunder Split Sword Art]. Also Mid-Rank Noble Grade. It focuses on speed, explosive strikes, and breaking through an enemy’s guard."

Damian’s eyes finally brightened, as both sword arts complemented his current elements perfectly.

Selvara placed the two jade slips into his hands. "You may study these. Do not rush to master both at once. Pick one as your main focus first."

Damian nodded seriously. "Yes, Master."

However, the moment he held the jade slips, another thought appeared in his mind.

These were Mid-Rank Noble Grade sword arts, and if he gifted them to the right person... the return would be really great.

He then carefully stored the two jade slips into his storage ring without absorbing them.

Selvara noticed this and looked at him. "You are not learning them now?"

Damian quickly answered, "I want to study them properly in my room. This place has too many people, and I don’t want to rush the process."

Selvara stared at him for a moment, but Damian simply kept his face calm.

After a while, Selvara could only nod. "Fine, then. That is better than absorbing them carelessly."

Damian secretly sighed in relief that his master did not ask too much about this.

After leaving the Scripture Pavilion, Selvara began walking back toward her mountain peak.

Damian followed for a while before suddenly coughing lightly. "Master."

Selvara glanced at him. "What?"

Damian smiled carefully. "Since I already registered, received a sword, and got sword arts, can I walk around the sect by myself for a little while?"

Selvara’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Damian immediately added, "Just to understand the sect better. I promise I won’t cause trouble."

Selvara looked at him silently.

For some reason, Damian felt like she did not believe even one word.

After a long pause, Selvara sighed faintly. "Fine. But return before evening."

Damian’s eyes brightened. "Yes, Master."

Selvara turned away calmly. "And Damian."

Damian froze. "Yes?"

A faint smile began to appear on her face. "If you cause trouble, tomorrow’s training will be doubled."

Damian’s smile stiffened. "...Understood."

Only after Selvara disappeared into silver sword light did Damian finally relax.

Then a grin slowly appeared on his face. "Alright. Time to search for other multipliers."
