A clear mocking echo rang out as footsteps came closer.

Adrian’s shadow falls over Lucian...

Everyone was just sitting on the floor, enjoying their lunch, except Zeri who was curled up and sleeping...

Nobody gave Adrian any serious attention, almost as if everyone had already figured out how weak the mommy’s boy was without his artifacts.

Lucian took a bite of his bun, casually glancing up at him with dead fish-eyes.

Munch. Munch. Munch.

Nobody stopped chewing either now; they all just kept eating without paying him any mind... then suddenly Adrian releases his aura. Not getting the attention and respect for his presence made him even more pissed off.

The atmosphere of the room completely changed. With raging expression Adrian glared at Lucian... it was pretty clear that his intentions were definitely to create a scene...

Looking down at Lucian — who was still chewing at the exact same lazy speed — Adrian finally snapped.

"Lower your eyes... bitch."

Adrian spat as the veins in his jaw popped. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

Lucian just blinked slowly. Chomp. He took another bite.

"I said lower your eyes... you discarded PIG..."

Nope. Lucian didn’t give any reply, as if his childish provocations weren’t even affecting him in the slightest.

Pushed over the edge by the silence, Adrian lost it. He kicked one of the buns right in front of Lucian... sending it smacking straight into Kaelen’s face... and just started crushing the remaining two into the dirt under his boots.

All the spicy filling from that bun splattered into Kaelen’s eyes, causing an intense burn... making him panic from the sudden hit.

"Oww ow ow... it’s hot... it’s hot!"

Lyria quickly wiped the mess away... from his face.

"Kaelen, are you okay? Look here..."

Sera abruptly stood up, furious.

"Hey you dumbass, how dare—"

Before she could say anything else, Lucian raised his hand, gesturing for her to stop...

Gritting her teeth, she goes quiet, though her eyes kept glaring right at Adrian...

"Hehe..." Adrian giggled, leaning close to Lucian’s ear, and opened his gutter-like mouth to whisper...

"Trained this red one pretty well... looks like after leaving home, you only made it this far by fucking the strong whores of the academy... how about you hand one whore over to me too..."

For a split second, Lucian’s pupils shrank, but the very next moment they went back to normal, as if he was just taking pity on him...

Then suddenly, Lucian stands up and, casually throwing an arm around Adrian’s shoulder, happily turns towards the group..

"Hey guys... meet him, he is my little brother, Adrian... I am really so, so sorry Kaelen about that, he is really sorry for it too..."

Lucian places his hand on the back of Adrian’s head.. and bowing down himself, he forces Adrian to bow along with him... Seeing this kind of unexpected behavior from Lucian, Adrian gets completely bewildered... he just ends up bowing down right along with the flow...

Everyone confusingly stares at the two bowing brothers...

Kaelen had wiped his eyes clean...

"I-It’s okay Lucian, I am fine.. I know he may-"

"Hey you, fuck off—!"

Adrian jerks upright, gritting his teeth...

"You..."

He steps right in front of Lucian, glaring at him with pure rage...

"You piece of garbage, how dare you try to look down on me..."

"Well Adrian, if you make a mistake, you have to apologize for it too, right..." Lucian looks right back at him with a playful smile...

Mid-leap.. Adrian rubs one of his rings, and in a split second, an axe materializes in his hand. Raising that axe above his head, he lunges straight at Lucian with pure killing intent.

"Talking back... you bastard, seems like your tongue has gotten way too long hanging around all these whores... hold on, I’ve got the perfect thing to cut it off..."

Lucian easily, without even using a single skill, catches that axe right between his thumb and index finger..

Seeing this, Adrian gets shocked all over again.. As far as Lucian’s image went back in their previous academy, he was completely talentless. Adrian was well aware that Lucian was nothing more than a pathetic weakling.

However, since joining Astraviel—or rather, since he got the system—exactly what he had gained on his own after breaking his curse... Adrian had absolutely zero clue about any of it. And right now, Lucian was thinking about giving him a proper reminder...

In one go, using raw bare strength, Lucian shatters the axe. With a flash movement, he appears right behind Adrian again, grabs him tightly by the hair from the back of his head, and literally lifts him up in the air with just one hand...

"L-Let me go, you bastard! Let go, you fucker... asshole!"

The heavy atmosphere over the group sitting below lightens up. Sera sits right back down, and everyone amusingly watches... the drama between the two brothers...

First, Lyria murmured... covering half her face with her fan.

"My, my... I thought the top prodigies of Sovereign would have some substance, but looking at this, it doesn’t seem like it..."

Then Elira, chewing on her bun, flatly speaks up..

"Darling, pull his hair a little harder, he’s not hurting that much..."

Sera, with a smeared mouth...

"Haha, fucker! Speak up now, did your tongue get cut off?"

Zeri groaned in her sleep.

Kaelen nervously waves his hands.

"H-hey guys, maybe we should just forgi—"

"ABSOLUTELY NOT..." all three girls suddenly glared right at Kaelen.

"Ok, ok, I understand..."

Adrian kept struggling in Lucian’s grip... he dug his nails into Lucian’s wrist with both hands, though those minor scratches did absolutely nothing, and on top of that, Lucian tightened his grip even more..

"Let go, let go, it hurts! It hurts! BASTARD, I’LL FUCKING KILL YOU! LET GO, I SAID!..."

Lucian kept doing it... loosening it a little, then tightening it again... as if he was quite enjoying it.

Adrian’s nose even started running... with his eyes having gotten glassy.
