Chapter 499: Chapter 499– Second Tournament – Finals – Part 4.

Hordes of demons and undeads from both sides clashed with each other over and over again, straight up forming two massive tides were trying to push each other, gaining the dominance.

However, each time one side would gain one, the opposing side would counter attack, making things balanced once again OR they themselves would obtain the advantage, which would in turn cause a repeat to happened.

It was a war.

A war between two massive armies that weren’t letting up.

And as some monsters would fall, both sides would not only summon their replacement, but even try and bring out more monsters in order to try and overwhelm their foes.

It was.... Well?

Just "war".

A war that neither side is currently winning.

(DAMMIT! WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!) – thought Mugen as he swung his katana, slaying several massive bone constructs with a single strike... Only to then have the same copy of these monsters appear and launch their attacks at the samurai, forcing the man to dive into his shadows in order to avoid the attack, before then reemerging and trying to fire a long-range attack, only to instead get blasted right in the face with a massive burning skull that blew up right on top of him.

(Fuck!) – Muge got blasted away, but he managed to quickly regain his balance before then finally unleashing his long-range slash.... Attack which was parried by the two massive bone arms that sprouted from the ground, defending the lich.

(SO HOW IS THAT TRASH SOMEHOW ABLE TO KEEP UP?!)

(Wow... He really looks pissed off.) – thought Lich.

(I mean, I don’t think I’ve angered him THAT much!)

(WHAT IS THIS PROBLEM!?) – thought LuvU as he unleashed rain of explosive skulls at Mugen, who in response unleashed his own barrage of explosives skulls, causing the two same type of attacks to smash into each other, causing a series of explosions between the two players.

(He has some dangerous long-range skills, but his main specialty is close range combat.)

(As long as I keep my distance, he won’t be able deal any critical damage to me.)

(But still... He is getting rid of my monsters way too fast.)

(He has [Shadow Assassin] from what I saw, but I already know the trick regarding how to deal with that shitty class.) – thought the lich player as he unleashed a [Demonic Necromancy: Damned You Be], firing off a massive spectra corrupted ghost at Mugen.

Mugen tried diving into the shadow, aiming to quickly get away from the massive attack.

However, as Mugen did entered his shadow, he was pretty much instantly kicked out as countless rotting demonic arms erupted from the ground, shattering the entire surface of field where Muge was, which ended up leaving Mugen right in the open, causing him to get impaled by the demonic rotting arms, fallowed up with the massive ghost coming his way and passing right through his body, unleashing many curses, burns, poisons and what not all at once, not only on Mugen, but also on the entire area.

The massive ghost "unlived" everything it touched.

(Many fucking people think that the light magic is the only way to get rid of shadow magic, making the invisible type of magic become vulnerable.) – thought the lich.

(However, if you "shatter" the shadow itself or the surface where the shadows on top, then it will straight up make you get out!)

(The shadow needs to be big enough to handle you!)

"FUCK YOU TO HELL!" – shouted Mugen as he freed himself from the demonic arms that pierced his body, before then quickly leaping towards the safe ground as the lich tried quickly unleashed yet another bombardment of demonic magic.

(Shit! He broke free!) – thought the lich as his attacks missed.

(FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK!) – thought furious Mugen.

(THIS CAN’T BE HAPPENING!) – thought Mugen as he stared at his HP, realizing that it was not only realizing that half of it was gone, but he was also afflicted with countless debuffs, while also noticing that his HP was non stop decreasing on its own.

(Do I really have to use [Vow Against My Own Death]?!)

(Do I really have no choice but to use it?!)

(I CAN’T USE MY STRONGEST SKILL ON THAT TRASH!)

(THERE ARE STILL OTHER BASTARDS OUT THERE!)

(STRONGER BASTARDS!) – thought Mugen as he then started summoning yet another army of undeads to his side... But so did the lich, as he replenished his own army before Mugen could, allowing the lich army to quickly gain the advantage.

Mugen obviously tried stopping the lich from obtaining it.... But he was in too much hurry.

Instead of focusing on replenishing his numbers, he instead went for the enemy.

And that was mistake.

If he had summoned his monsters as planned, he would bought himself "time".

But.... Because he didn’t, many of his monsters were just "devoured" by the lich’s army.

Obviously Mugen tried ending it by going for LuvU, but the lich was on the full defensive, focusing on countering every single strike that was launched by Mugen, while also not allowing the distance between two players to shrink no matter what, fully knowing that the moment Mugen gets right next to him.

Death.

The lich will be destroyed the moment Mugen engages in close combat.

Mugen tried pulling everything he had.

Be it speed buff or short-range teleportation.... But each time he made progress, LuvU instantly aimed to create even more distance while also throwing some monsters to slow him down.

The monsters didn’t slowed down Mugen for long.... But it did slowed him long enough for him to get surrounded.

"?!"

(Wait, what?!) – before Mugen realized, he was already surrounded by all directions by the monsters.... And that is all his fault.

As more of his monster fallen, as the number in the difference grew larger, so did his forces were exterminated faster.

Because Mugen forgotten to keep the number of his monsters large enough to handle LuvU’s army, he ended up straight up destroying his own army.

And now?

Muge was all alone, surrounded by the countless number of monsters.

Mugen tried summoning his monsters once again... But it wasn’t working.

The lich’s army was keeping Mugen in check, not allowing him to grow his own army even one bit.

And pretty much?

Mugen was getting his shit beaten out of him from all directions as the endless hordes of monsters rushed at him, while the lich player himself unleashed one after another powerful blasts, which Mugen wasn’t able to do anything about, since he had already his hands full with monsters.

(FUCK!)

(I REALLY HAVE NO CHOICE?!) – shouted Mugen in his head.

(Am I really going to die?!)

(AM I REALLLY GOING TO DIE TO A FUCKING NOBODY LIKE HIM?!)

(NO! I REFUSE!)

However, as Mugen was still getting beaten up by the endless army of monsters.... Something weird was going on.

The monsters.... They all were disappearing.

"..."

"Eh?" – Mugen was completely caught off guard by what was going on.... And as he looked towards the lich... He saw something weird.

His body cut in half fell down the ground, exterminated.

(Wait...What?) – Mugen was still confused what just happened.... And before he could even organize his thoughts, the massive shield with spikes suddenly appeared right behind him, slamming into his back and sending the man flying through the air.

"!?"

Mugen tried regaining himself after getting struck from behind.... But In the very next moment, the man saw his body, flying away from him.

"..."

"Huh?" – Mugen stared on his body that lied on the floor.... A body that was nowhere near him.

Mugen was decapitated before he realized it.... And in before he could even try to speak anything as decapitated head, the massive shield came in and smashed the head.

"Yeb." – replied Thanatos who was behind the lich’s death and the death knight’s decapitation.

"Maybe they were so focused on each other that they straight up forgotten that there were other people on the map?"

"Either way, sucks to be them for making that kind of rooky mistake."

"So.... Aren’t you a bastard?" – asked Diamond as the whole swamp area was covered in head to toes in blood and chains.

(Okay.... I guess it may confirms one of my theories.) – thought Diamond as the stared at Apple, the chain user, who was devasting his blood monster with his spiked chains.
