Walker Of The Worlds
Chapter 3721: Rapid Growth Of Wood And Wind Core
Lin Mu carefully held the transparent sphere in both hands that was already dissolving with both hands, while feeling the dense energies swirling within it. Even after the Saintess had explained what it contained, he still found it difficult to fully comprehend the value of what she had given him.
Either one of those treasured energies alone would be enough to drive immortals into madness.
Entire sects might wage wars over traces of such energies. Yet the Saintess had somehow refined enough of both to condense them into a sphere the size of a watermelon and then casually handed it to him as a birthday gift.
Lin Mu truly did not know whether to laugh or sigh.
The Saintess herself simply sat beside him quietly while sipping dwarven wine as if she had merely gifted him an ordinary trinket.
Lin Mu took a slow breath before deciding not to waste the opportunity.
He closed his eyes.
The moment he began circulating the Omnicore Ascendancy Technique, the sphere reacted immediately. The green and azure mists inside started spinning rapidly before streams of pure energy flowed into Lin Muโs body.
The green wood vitality entered his liver.
The azure wind essence flowed toward his diaphragm.
The reaction was instant.
His Wood Core and Wind Core awakened greedily, as if starving beasts had finally encountered food after years of hunger. The two incomplete cores spun rapidly, devouring the incoming energies with astonishing speed.
Lin Mu could feel the difference immediately.
The wood energy felt ancient and vibrant.
It carried an endless sense of vitality that reminded him of colossal forests stretching across entire worlds. Every strand of the energy pulsed with life force so dense that merely circulating it through his meridians caused his flesh to tremble pleasantly.
Meanwhile the wind essence felt entirely different.
It was light, boundless and wild.
It flowed through him like invisible storms crossing endless skies. Unlike ordinary wind elemental Qi, this energy carried a profound sense of freedom and movement. Lin Mu almost felt as if his body itself was becoming lighter.
The Omnicore Ascendancy Technique circulated faster and faster.
Within his liver, the Wood Core greedily absorbed the wood energy. The half complete marble-like core slowly brightened from dull green into a vivid jade color. Tiny threads resembling roots spread from it into Lin Muโs body.
At the same time the Wind Core within his diaphragm underwent even greater changes.
Compared to his other elemental cores, the Wind Core had lagged behind considerably. It had lacked opportunities and suitable materials for growth. Yet now, with the pure essence of planetary winds entering it directly, the core reacted almost frantically.
The small pale azure core spun wildly while streams of wind essence gathered around it like miniature storms.
Lin Mu remained completely immersed in cultivation.
Time quietly passed.
The banquet around him continued without interruption.
Dwarves still drank themselves unconscious.
Music still echoed through Mantleheim.
Somewhere nearby several drunken rune dwarves were attempting to race mine carts through the streets while chanting battle songs.
Yet none of it disturbed Lin Mu.
The Saintess had casually erected an illusion barrier around them. To outsiders, Lin Mu merely appeared to be sitting normally at the banquet table while drinking and occasionally eating roasted meat.
In reality, twelve entire hours passed.
No one noticed.
Or rather, even if someone had noticed something strange, they were far too intoxicated and emotionally damaged to care anymore.
Finally, Lin Mu slowly opened his eyes.
The sphere in his hands had completely disappeared. The swirling mist inside had vanished entirely, leaving only a bare air behind.
Lin Mu immediately checked his cores.
The moment he sensed their state, his eyes widened.
"They grew this much?" he muttered in disbelief.
The results were frankly absurd.
His Wood Core had jumped from seventy five percent completion directly to ninety five percent.
That alone was already shocking.
Yet compared to the Wind Core, it almost seemed ordinary.
The Wind Core had risen from twelve percent all the way to fifty two percent.
Forty percent growth.
Lin Mu genuinely stared blankly for several seconds.
He had consumed unimaginable amounts of elemental materials to raise his other cores by similar percentages. Entire mountains of precious ores and resources had disappeared into the Omnicore Ascendancy Technique.
Yet the Saintess had somehow given him enough wind essence to cause such explosive growth in only half a day.
Lin Mu slowly turned toward her.
The Saintess calmly drank from her cup without the slightest hint of pride upon her face.
"How did you even gather this much?" Lin Mu finally asked.
The Saintess thought for a moment before answering casually.
"I refined the planetary winds of three gas giants," she said. "Though I only worked on them for a few months so the quantity is limited."
Lin Mu almost choked hearing that.
"Just a few months?" he repeated.
The Saintess blinked.
"Yes."
Lin Mu suddenly understood how everyone else felt when hearing about his age.
Apparently absurdity was contagious.
He tried imagining someone casually harvesting the atmospheric winds of entire gas giant planets and somehow condensing them into pure elemental essence.
To him, it sounded completely unreasonable.
To the Saintess, it apparently counted as a side activity.
"I can make more if you want," she added simply.
Lin Mu actually paused to consider it seriously.
The temptation was immense.
Yet after carefully sensing his cores, he slowly shook his head.
"I donโt think more of the same kind will help much now," he admitted honestly. "I have already absorbed enough to reach a bottleneck. I probably need different sources and different comprehensions now."
The Saintess nodded calmly.
"That is correct."
Lin Mu smiled bitterly.
Of course she already knew. ๐ฏ๐ป๐๐๐๐ฎ๐๐ท๐๐ฟ๐๐.๐๐ธ๐ข
He carefully stored the empty sphere before bowing his head slightly toward her.
"Thank you," he said sincerely. "This is genuinely one of the best gifts Iโve ever received."
The Saintess merely waved her hand dismissively before continuing to drink.
Lin Mu could not help smiling faintly.
