Warm Married Life: Mr. President Loves His Darling Wife
Chapter 495 - 494: Three Months at Most
At most three months?
Bella’s heart chilled again, "What’s the quickest then?"
"She might not last a month." The doctor replied, "Her body is failing to absorb nutrients, and now her life is sustained by the nutrients stored in her body. After hospitalization, we can only give her nutrient solutions every day to prolong her life, you should be mentally prepared anytime."
"I understand. Doctor, please, do everything you can to help her extend her time a bit." Bella said, her eyes turning red.
"Alright, here’s the payment slip for the medication, you can go pay it." The doctor handed over the printed slip.
"Thank you, doctor." Bella thanked again, before holding the slip and going to make the payment.
Every step she took felt like a stab to her heart.
She knew Aunt Sienna was already old, but never thought Aunt Sienna would leave them so quickly in this manner.
She still remembers Aunt Sienna making pancakes when she was little, always secretly letting her eat a little first.
Aunt Sienna treated her like a mother would, pampering her.
Those times were so poor, the children often didn’t have enough to eat, and Aunt Sienna and the orphanage director would rather go hungry themselves to let the children have more food. Over time, they naturally developed stomach illnesses.
The orphanage director’s death was due to stomach cancer, and never imagined Aunt Sienna would get the same disease. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
Tears welled up in Bella’s eyes, she tightly pursed her lips and wiped away tears with the back of her hand before going to pay.
Aunt Sienna’s hospitalization requires someone to care for her.
After paying the expensive medication fees, Bella had no spare money to hire a caretaker, so she could only use every break from work to come to the hospital to care for Aunt Sienna, while also picking Ethan up from kindergarten.
Her already busy life suddenly became even more hectic.
But this was good in a way, at least she didn’t have the energy to think about anything else.
Today, after Bella cared for Aunt Sienna until she fell asleep in the hospital, she didn’t stay in the hospital like before but took a taxi back to the apartment with Ethan.
She planned to take a shower, get some clean clothes, and head back to the hospital.
These days, running back and forth, her exhausted body rapidly thinned, losing the baby fat from her small face, no longer even a palm’s size.
But she forced herself to hold up, managing to speak with a smile in front of Aunt Sienna.
Ethan held her finger, looking up at her, "Bella, why are we here?" He just thought they were going back to the orphanage.
"To get some clean clothes, and give you a good bath too." Bella said as the elevator reached the floor, she led Ethan out while saying, "Aunt Sienna needs to stay in the hospital for a while longer, we need to stay there too."
"Oh." Ethan didn’t understand much, just instinctively nodded his head.
Bella lowered her head to find the key from her bag, holding it in her hand, she went forward to unlock the door, only then noticing someone standing by the entrance.
Bea had been leaning against the wall, upon seeing Bella return, she immediately stood upright, saying, "You’re back."
"Bella? Why are you here?" Bella was somewhat surprised to see her.
"I have something to discuss with you." Bea spoke, waving to Ethan, "Ethan, do you remember me?"
"Yes, Bella." Ethan smiled at her.
Bella hesitated for a moment, then stepped forward to open the door, saying, "Let’s talk inside."
Bea followed her inside.
The living room, though tidied up, clearly showed signs of being uninhabited for a while.
