What Do You Mean I Have Nine Wives?
Chapter 69: Aftermath
Tyler tried to run towards the red orb, but his mana suddenly got out of control, and his body fell face-first on the ground.
"Young Master!"
"Nothing, I got flustered and lost control of my mana while it was keeping my injuries in check."
Tyler shook his head and turned towards Porty.
"Wait, what about the red orb?"
"Young Master, while you fell, the red orb rushed towards the sky and disappeared. Is there a problem with that orb?"
Alfred asked.
"I don’t know. I was just curious about it."
Tyler shook his head, but nobody noticed a glint in his eyes.
’Teacher, why were you so concerned about that red orb? Why can an ordinary man make you so concerned?’
For a moment, Tyler thought it was the work of the dimensional god. But the appearance of the dimensional god didn’t worry his teacher.
Instead, only when that red orb appeared, she panicked.
That was abnormal. That was just the blood of Porty, a cultivator at the Soul Sublimation Realm.
So, why was his blood so concerning for his teacher?
And, more importantly, did the dimensional god behind Porty give him on him?
Didn’t it want to see Porty defy heaven?
Are they cahoot with Heaven to stop human potential?
This was the reason why he made that mistake and fell to the ground. He didn’t want to chase after Porty because of this suspicion.
Unlike other races, humans had one major limit.
It was the grade of their technique that determined their upper limit. He had heard about this from Hongsu.
He knew Heavenly Dao had made such a rule to keep humans in check. But Tyler also resented this kind of restriction.
It was one thing for them to affect talent, but Heaven wasn’t just satisfied with that.
It also wanted to put breaks in their upper limits.
So, even if an ordinary person trained hard, he could never surpass his limits. That was basically set from his birth.
Tyler hated that kind of idea.
Humans should be free.
Yes, humans could be some of the worst people in the universe, but that didn’t mean others were allowed to strip humans of their freedom.
Although he didn’t know what Porty could achieve with just that blood orb, he didn’t mind helping him if it could cause trouble for Heavenly Dao.
And from the fact that it could make his teacher panic, he believed it would trouble the Dimensional God as well.
Well, it could all be just a ruse, and that blood orb could disappear tomorrow.
So, he didn’t have much expectation.
"I thought we were gonna die. What happened to that guy?"
Elena asked.
"He got a strength boost from an evil god but ended up releasing all of his anger towards Heaven."
Tyler replied as he sat down and started recovering his mana.
"That was horrible. I have never felt so much resentment in my life."
Daisy spoke with a serious look on her face.
"And those lightning bolts. They didn’t stop until his entire body had turned to ash."
Alfred chimed in.
"Could it be he angered Heaven so much that it struck down the tribulation lightning?"
Elena asked.
Tyler shrugged his shoulders.
"Who knows? After all, he was talking about slaying the heaven, but I am surprised his resentment was enough to attract the Evil God."
At this moment, his teacher’s voice rang in his head.
"That’s normal! The higher you go, the more you will realize just how much those Dimensional Gods affect the universe."
"But I never imagined someone would form a bloodline from nothing but resentment."
Hearing that, Tyler paused for a moment.
His teacher couldn’t hear his thoughts, and since he wasn’t at the Soul Sublimation Realm, he couldn’t talk to them through his thoughts.
But Elena already knew about his teacher. So, he was curious whether he should let Alfred and Daisy know about it.
Then, he shook his head.
He could tell Elena because Elena had an absolute chance of keeping up with him, but Daisy didn’t.
In this world, there would always be people who could manipulate others through mental abilities.
He didn’t want his secrets to leak out. The fewer people who know about it, the better.
"I never thought we would be so close to death. Without the Young Lady’s abilities, we would’ve been dead."
Alfred turned towards Daisy and spoke out with gratitude.
Tyler also looked at Daisy and said.
"That’s right! It’s quite amazing that you have a spatial technique. Can you control that dimension?"
Daisy shook her head.
"If I could, I wouldn’t have brought you out in such a short time. I can only access that dimension."
"Dimension, Evil Gods, Resentment! I never thought we would encounter so many things in this place."
"When I defeated those two, I thought this was gonna be an easy battle. But we almost lost our lives."
Elena spoke.
Hearing that, Tyler nodded.
"Who could have predicted that an ordinary person could do something so scary just by relying on his Willpower?"
"It seems like those two families planned to sacrifice him for some reason."
"Not just him, Jack also looked like someone ready to sacrifice himself. And he also managed to send a message back to the family."
"I’m sorry, Young Master. I wasn’t able to stop him."
Alfred apologized.
Tyler shook his head.
"It’s okay! What about your opponents?"
Daisy nodded.
"It’s the same thing with mine."
"Hmm! My enemies were quite easy to deal with, so I didn’t notice that."
Elena replied.
"Then, let’s just assume all five of them were sacrificial lambs for those two families. But how were they supposed to be sacrificed?"
"Did they know about us?" Tyler asked.
Hearing that, three of them shrugged, but Daisy spoke.
"Maybe not! Maybe they just planned to sacrifice them for some reason. After all, all five of them had one thing in common."
"C-Grade Inherent Technique!"
Tyler uttered those words as his eyes held an expression of understanding.
"I see! No wonder he looked so desperate. Whether they defeated us or not, they were sent here as sacrificial lambs because they held no value."
"It wasn’t that their strength was insignificant, but if they managed to swallow these resources, they needed someone with talent."
"Since their technique had put a limit on their growth, those two families planned to use them to start a war."
"Start a war? But how?"
Elena couldn’t help but feel confused.
So, Tyler calmly explained.
"Compared to the Mana Condensation Realm or the Treasured Body Realm, the Soul Sublimation Realm holds more power in the country."
"Their death will certainly affect the country’s overall strength. If they manage to prove that their death was related to fishman."
At this moment, Elena’s eyes widened.
"Then, humans will start a war against the fishman. Since Coastal City is the closest city to the ocean, they will attack us."
"After the destruction of the city, those two families will send their people to recapture this city."
Daisy nodded.
"And for this alone, they have also worked with the Prime Minister. So, the Grant Family won’t be able to do anything against them."
Alfred interjected.
"But now we have defeated them, they can’t prove anything. If the war starts, we can use that as an advantage to point fingers at those two families."
Tyler waved his hand.
"We can’t do that. Unless we are planning on exposing this mine, we have no choice but to make sure the information doesn’t get leaked."
"Or at least, we have to take out that treasure before the information is leaked. Only then can we prevent others from taking control of this mine."
Hearing that, Daisy asked.
"How are we supposed to do that? Nezumi can’t even get close to that treasure. Are we just going to start a new project to dig deeper?"
Tyler snapped his fingers.
"Of course, we are. Daisy, sometimes, short-term profit can change everything. Don’t forget, our main business will not be mine but the weapon industry."
"According to your information, the sales of Yellowstone Ore have increased drastically in these few months."
"That means those two families are creating a market for the Yellowstone Ore once they capture this mine."
"So no matter what, we must do two things. First, get that treasure. Second, make sure they lose as much money as possible."
Hearing that, Elena clapped her hands.
"That’s an amazing idea, Young Master. So, how are we going to do that?"
Tyler couldn’t help but feel speechless.
"Elena, I am not omniscient. How am I supposed to know any of this? For now, all we can do is start the digging process and contact the fishman."
Daisy rubbed her head and said.
"About that! There is a small problem, Young Master."
Tyler gave her a lazy look and asked.
"What is it?"
She smiled bitterly and said.
"They said they can only host a meeting underwater."
Tyler clenched his fist.
"Mo**erfuckers!"
