Tan You pinched the bridge of her nose. "We haven’t even greenlit the project, and you’re already thinking about the cast?"

The director said, full of confidence, "I’m just planning ahead. Who can blame me when our great Director Tang is so swift and decisive? But seriously, Director Tang, how do you have so many creative ideas?"

’If you’d been through several worlds and seen countless shows and movies, you’d have this many ideas too,’ Tan You thought. But honestly, the variety shows here really lacked diversity, which gave Tan You room to shine.

Tan You had assumed her conversation with the director on set that morning was just a joke. She didn’t expect to walk out of the recording studio and be greeted by a beaming Chairman Wang and two other company executives.

One of the executives, quick on the uptake, took the large bag from Tan You’s hands. "Director Tang, shall we talk about that kids’ show and the dating show?"

A faint smile playing on her lips, Tan You glanced back into the studio. Director Hu was nodding and bowing in her direction. ’The thing is, he didn’t expect Chairman Wang to be so fast, either,’ she mused. ’Who knew these people moved so quickly?’

Tan You didn’t bother getting into it with Director Hu. She just smiled. "I’m currently following a production on set. I can’t be in two places at once."

The other executive immediately assured her, "The company has the manpower. As long as we have your creative vision, Director Tang, we absolutely will not let your hard work go to waste."

Tan You thought about it and realized he was right. Trying to do everything herself would only lead to burnout. She was a shareholder now, after all. There was really no need to handle everything personally, as long as the overall direction was correct.

"Alright, in that case, I’ll do my best to get the proposal out within a week."

Chairman Wang grinned. "Excellent. The proposals for the kids’ show and the dating show, then. Not one less."

Tan You rolled her eyes. "Two proposals in one week? Are you trying to work me to death?"

"I have faith in you, Director Tang," Chairman Wang said, his smile especially brilliant. If a smile could coax a script out of Tan You, he was confident his could win a beauty pageant.

Tan You mulled it over. "I’ll give you the concept for the kids’ show first. That one will take more time. I’ll work on the other one when I get a chance."

Seeing Chairman Wang was about to speak again, Tan You narrowed her eyes dangerously. "I’m very busy, you know."

"Right. No matter how busy you are with work, you have to take care of your health..." Chairman Wang quickly changed his tune, making no mention of the capitalist nature he had just displayed.

Tan You shot him a look. "You’ve really said it all, haven’t you? Both the good and the bad."

With the proposal for the kids’ show now in the works, the two accompanying executives were all smiles. They repeatedly invited Tan You to a meal, only to be turned down by her excuse that she had to go back and write the proposal.

Chairman Wang couldn’t stand it. "Look at you two. You just had to tag along. I could have come alone."

"I’m personally not a fan of shows that are just about ambiguous flirting and stringing people along. A relationship shouldn’t start lightly, nor should it end lightly."

From what Tan You had seen, many dating shows had one contestant connected to several others, creating multiple potential love lines, which she personally disliked. If she were to produce a dating show, she would rather film something beautiful and sweet, not a tangled mess of emotional threads.

Chairman Wang’s curiosity was piqued. "From the sound of it, you seem to want to oversee the dating show yourself?"
