Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?
Chapter 1462 - 902: There’s Such a Place in Yanor Londo?
As Fingerley’s voice filled with resentment echoed, the events that transpired in the Sain Dungeon a few days ago unfolded before everyone.
A few days ago, Sain Dungeon, Yanor Londo.
"So there are such hidden paths in Yanor Londo?"
Fingerley looked at the mountain road branching off from the side of the Royal Capital’s architecture, his face full of confusion.
"Why didn’t we see it before?"
Previously, the entire layout of Yanor Londo had been thoroughly excavated by adventurers, with guides clearly marking where to fight which monster, what materials, and what equipment to find. Even though the Sain Dungeon occasionally changed maps, it couldn’t alter the design logic. Anyone with a bit of dungeon exploration sense could have a worthwhile adventure by following the guides.
Yet, among all the strategic guides circulating in the streets, this branch path was never mentioned.
In other words, is this another anomaly that only appears in Scameroon?
Fingerley looked curiously at the path winding upward along the mountainside, wondering what lay at the end of this path.
"Could it be the so-called[Duke’s Library]?"
He hadn’t forgotten that the reason he hadn’t left the Sain Dungeon was to find the Duke’s Library. With nothing else to do, he might as well search for the new map’s entrance.
And so he did, leading him to this previously unseen road.
There were numerous giant guards on the way, but relying on his wits, he lured them away one by one and reached this place without any bloodshed.
Exploring the Sain Dungeon doesn’t always have to be about frantic battles; a stealth challenge can also be a nice choice.
However, stealth requires knowing the positions of other enemies, and in unfamiliar scenarios, it often fails due to unforeseen factors.
"Just the right time to test a new weapon."
Fingerley drew a new weapon forged with the soul of the Chaos Witch, the Blade of Chaos. The blade emitted a chaotic flame-like aura, with rising heat distorting the space around it. Its simple yet sophisticated appearance made Fingerley very satisfied with this weapon.
Even if this long blade didn’t quite match his usual dual blades, it didn’t matter.
His stats, strengthened by the King’s Soul, along with the freshly redeemed[Giant Puppet Ring]enhancing power, allowed him to crush bricks like tofu with ease.
Even unfamiliar weapons could exert remarkable power in his hands!
With confidence and caution, Fingerley stepped onto the upward winding path around the mountain, ready for an unexpected encounter at any moment.
However, reality exceeded imagination, as he encountered no enemies all the way to the path’s end.
"I was hoping for some practice, but there’s not a single enemy?"
Typically, when the Sain Dungeon shows such patterns, it means there’s probably an elite-level monster waiting ahead!
Fingerley calmed himself to view the scene at the path’s end.
At the mountain path’s end lay a dim corridor leading to a towering building in the distance. The architectural style was reminiscent of Yanor Londo.
Yet perhaps due to its distance from the Yanor Londo architecture, this place was enveloped by lush, green forests, free from the influence of the warm yellows of the sky, exuding a faint sense of tranquility.
Fingerley proceeded into the corridor, narrow enough for three people to walk side by side. With larger armor, even two would struggle walking abreast.
He observed the walls, adorned with braziers casting a faint firelight, featuring elaborate embossed patterns, weathered over time yet partially discernible. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
For instance, many engravings depicted a massive, long-necked creature.
This seemed familiar, a staple of the magic world—the dragon.
Seeing the dragon’s depiction, Fingerley immediately recalled Flament’s words, forming his own hypothesis.
"Could it be that this Duke’s Library is related to the White Dragon Heiss?"
White Dragon Heiss was a traitor among the Ancient Dragons, aiding Sun King Gwyn in the war against them. Being rewarded with a title or official position post-war wouldn’t be surprising.
Let’s assume this is the White Dragon Heiss’s dwelling!
"I just obtained the[Divided King’s Soul]from the Four Kings of Little Londo, and now I’ve discovered the other soul’s possessor. Am I lucky or what?"
If it aligns with the group’s speculation, obtaining the remaining half of the[Divided King’s Soul]from White Dragon Heiss would elevate his level further.
The anticipation was electric, sending waves of excitement through him.
As Fingerley’s thought raced, passing the corridor’s corner, he suddenly heard a sharp whistle as a blade sliced the air.
With muscled reflexes, his legs propelled him sideways, perfectly dodging a large sword swiping past him.
