Why do I keep attracting Villainesses?

Chapter 94: JACOBS POV.
"You can simply fight to your heart’s content, and when we find a bad guy, you can smash them without holding back."
Hearing the last part of my sentence, her face instantly lit up. The idea of being able to unleash her full strength without any rules or fragile humans getting in the way was exactly what she wanted to hear right then.
Her ears perked up, and her golden eyes flashed with excitement.
"Alright, I’ll trust you this time, First Mate," she said calmly, trying to sound dignified and in control.
Yet, the huge, happy smile on her face completely betrayed her serious look.
She was practically vibrating with excitement.
This was the brilliant plan I’d thought of. By having only I and Priscilla going around acting as pirates, or in this case, my modified, good-guy version of pirates.
Dinklehimer and the others were completely out of the equation.
The old man, who was told to follow the exact same direction toward the safe port, didn’t have to be put in danger along with the others. They could sail the massive, intimidating warship in a straight line, and since the ship looked so terrifyingly large, most random raiders would probably stay far away from it anyway.
Moreover, our little stolen ship was much faster and easier to turn than the giant warship. Once she was done having her fun for the day and smashing whatever bad pirates we happened to stumble across, Priscilla could easily steer us back to the battleship.
It wasn’t hard to track since we had a very good, rough idea of where it was headed and how fast it could move. We could just cut across the water and meet them before the sun went down.
It was a really ingenious plan if I did say so myself.
Well, it had been a few days now and yet the wannabe pirate and I still hadn’t found any pirates or ships in need. The ocean remained completely empty, a giant blue desert that stretched out in every direction without a single break.
I let out a sigh while resting against the ship’s railing. I watched the small waves lap against the side of the wooden hull, feeling a bit bored myself.
Well, maybe it would be confusing to call every ship "ship" in my head.
I needed to give them proper names so I could keep track of things better.
" Let’s go with Hornet. Yeah, the First Hornet"
A name like that did sound good for this little vessel we were currently sailing.
It was fast, a bit sharp, and it could sting if anyone got too close.
As for the giant warship we left behind, we could just call the battleship the Queen.
Honestly, it had a nice ring to it. It was the biggest and most powerful thing around, ruling over our little operation.
If we managed to capture or get other ships before reaching the mainland, then we could simply name them the Second Hornet, the Third Hornet, and so on. It was a simple system, but it worked perfectly. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
So back to what I was saying.
I let out another deep sigh while staring out into the ocean. My arms were crossed over the smooth wood of the railing, and the cool sea breeze was blowing through my hair.
It had been a few days now, and our routine had become exactly the same every single morning and evening.
We had been going back and forth across the waves, exploring at day to look for trouble and returning to the Queen at night to sleep securely.
It was a smart way to do things, and it kept the freed captives safe while allowing us to scout ahead.
Honestly, I enjoyed the peace. After all the crazy things I had been through recently, just sitting on a boat and watching the water move was actually a nice break.
I didn’t mind the quiet days at all. But our dear captain didn’t think like I did. She didn’t want peace; she wanted action, glory, and a chance to prove her strength to the world.
I briefly glanced at Priscilla up above, who was manning the steering wheel on the raised deck at the back of the vessel.
The poor woman still had a look of intense anticipation on her face. Her ears were pointed straight forward, her golden eyes were wide, and she was leaning over the wheel as if she could force the ship to find an enemy just by wishing for it.
It was really pitiful to look at. She looked like a hunting cat that had been forced to sit in a boring room for a week.
It seemed the both of us had underestimated just how big the Blueberry Sea actually was.
When you look at a map, it looks like a simple body of water between two places. But when you are actually out here in a small boat, you realize that you are just a tiny speck in a giant, endless bowl of water.
Finding a fellow ship here seemed like an impossible task. It was like looking for a single needle in a huge haystack.
The sheer size of the sea made me wonder how seasoned pirates were ever able to do it.
How did they find targets so easily? Even in movies back in my old world, pirates always seemed capable of tracking down merchant ships without any kind of modern technology or radar.
They just sailed right up to them. So how were they able to do such a thing in real life? Did they have secret routes, or was it just pure luck?
No matter how much I thought about it, I still couldn’t come up with a sound answer. The mystery of sea navigation was still beyond me.
I looked back at the horizon. The sky was changing colors, shifting from a bright blue to a warm, soft orange. The sun was setting once more, sinking lower into the water and casting long, dark shadows across the waves. Night was coming fast, and our time for the day was running out.
