Chapter 50: Lidia Rose Vs. Zeke Katra

Without wasting any time, Zeke activated his ability all over the raft and stomped his heel on the very edge. The raft, that was covering a great portion of the lake, had tilted completely out of the water by the force of his kick. With Lidia’s side being thrown up into the air, she was being dragged down both by Zeke’s power and by gravities normal pull.

’Alright bastard. If you want me to come in close so bad, I’m on my way.’

Lidia smiled, angled her feet on the wood and shot herself toward Zeke. She moved so fast, the air around her was whistling as she plummeted to lay her attack. When her fist collided with Zeke’s, a massive shockwave was created that spread for miles before diminishing. Even some of the spectators were thrown off balance.

"W-what the hell are we watching?! This is crazy! How can humans be capable of this?!"

Lidia tried to throw a kick next, but Zeke blocked it and threw a counter punch. His counter punch was swiftly dodged and met with an elbow to his shoulder. The water around them was rippling under the immense forces of their blows. The raft kept needing to be repaired constantly by Peter on the sidelines. Zeke was able to duck under a punch and land a good kick in Lidia’s stomach, sending her flying upward high in the sky.

He pushed off the raft to meet her in the air to continue the fight which caused the entire thing to go underwater for a few moments. Every blow landed on Lidia with deadly precision. Her body was being mangled by Zeke slowly but surely. However, Lidia was able to grab hold of Zeke and aim herself downward. She was planning to crash into the wooden raft while holding on to him so he couldn’t escape.

She kicked off of the air around her and started plummeting at ridiculous speeds.

"You better ease up on the gravity before you get hurt!"

"L-Like hell!"

Zeke couldn’t break free from Lidia’s world-famous bear hug and took the full brunt of her attack. Both of them crashed through the wood and started sinking to the bottom of the lake. That never stopped the fight for a single moment. Their kicks and punches contained so much power that the lake itself was being moved around by their fight.

Both the Rose and Katra Clan were being splashed with massive waves escaping the lake. Underneath the water, they could hear massive booms being silenced. Suddenly, the two of them broke through the water and landed back on the wooden platform.

Lidia looked absolutely awful. Her face was extremely battered, and her breathing was horse from fighting underwater. However, Katra also seemed to be getting slightly tired.

"Aren’t you going to use your power to heal yourself?"

Lidia started laughing and a wide smirk appeared across her face.

"Maybe. I thought I had another idea in mind that I have never tried before. Thank you for being the test dummy!"

Katra’s face suddenly paled and he tried to create as much distance as possible between himself and Lidia. Too late. Lidia was right on him, ready to throw her most powerful attack yet.

Lidia’s entire back, right arm, and fist started glowing a dark orange. Steam was coming off of every part of her body. The power emanating from it made everyone shiver.

"RELEASE!!!"

When she threw her fist forward, all of the energy was sent right into Katra’s body. The sound was so deafening it made everyone’s ears start to bleed. Katra, along with the largest shockwave he’s ever seen, was sent hurdling through miles of earth. There was now a hollowed-out path of dirt for the lake to become a river. Every part of the raft in front Lidia had been turned to dust.

Everyone was left speechless.

Even Peter showed emotion for the first time since he had arrived at the spar. His face was full of pure dread. Beads of sweat were rolling down his cheeks.

"Just... who is our lady? What the hell is that power?! Have we been living with a monster?"

No one else could say anything. They were so disoriented and shocked by the sights they were seeing; they didn’t know what they could say. Suddenly, everybody felt like fainting. Walking back towards the wooden raft, was none other than Zeke. His body was severely bloodied, his blonde hair was a complete mess, he was limping with every step, yet he was somehow alive. The only person who showed no surprise on their face was Lidia.

However, when everyone looked at Lidia, the hand she used to throw the punch was completely missing, as if it got caught up in her own attack. Her entire arm was charred, her tan skin was still smoking, but she still held a smile on her face through all of it. Just as quickly as they saw the terrible state of her body, in mere moments, it healed itself back to perfect condition.

Lidia started flexing all her lean muscles.

"Yeah!! That felt AWESOME!! Does that mean I win Zeke? Or do you want to fight a bit more?"

Zeke simply smiled and laughed.

"I already knew I would lose if we fought hand to hand. Now that I know we are going all out, if you survive this next attack, I’ll concede. I want to try one last thing."

Lidia, as if inviting him to try something, gestured her hand forward.

"Very well. Don’t hold this against me."

Suddenly, Zeke started floating off of the ground high in the sky. It seemed like the world around him started to bend more and more, twisting into weird swirls. The light itself around him seemed to struggle to pass by. Zeke lightly mumbled something to himself under his breath.

"Release."

Upon saying these words, Zeke seemed to move at the speed of light falling toward Lidia. A fist collided right into Lidia’s palms. They crashed straight through the raft, through all the water in the lake, and into the soft earth below. The force was so devastating, ravines started to create themselves around the impact for thousands of feet. Even with the water muffling the sound, it could still be heard clearly. The water from the lake slowly started draining, allowing the raft to eventually get stuck in the dirt.

Three moments passed without anything happening. Then, Lidia was seen slowly carrying Zeke on her back. It looked like there wasn’t as much as a scratch on her skin from Zeke’s attack. Both clans were dumbfounded.

"Not a single scratch. Zeke couldn’t make a single scratch."

Lidia started laughing.

"Oh man, this was an absolute blast! Can we do this more often, Zeke?"

Zeke slowly groaned and tried to get off of Lidia’s back.

"Can we fight with swords next time so I can win?"

"Stop being a sore loser. You would demolish me with that!"

Lidia looked over at everyone, who were still looking at her fearfully.

"What?"

Peter swallowed his fear and walked forward.

"Let’s just go back to the palace to rest. Rose Clan can treat the Katra Clan tomorrow to some good food as thanks for this opportunity."

Lidia’s face brightened up.

"That’s a great idea! I know just the place to go too! My daughter goes there with her boyfriend all time, so it has to be good!"
