Chapter 1075: Chapter 261: Starting Out with One Wooden Stick (Part 3)

"Knock, knock, knock-knock-knock—!"

The knocking sound made the survivors hiding in the warehouse shudder. From outside came a creepy voice, "Little lambs, stay quiet for a while. Hurry up and open the door for Daddy. Daddy can’t wait to taste your souls!"

The hunt continued. Compared to the lower-class people of the First Special District, demons found joy in the members of the Ministry of Justice—they felt despair and fear, and with a little "cooking," their souls would become deliciously juicy.

"Three of you are still hiding inside."

The demons were just on the other side of the door, offering a deal to the desperate judges, "Let’s make a deal. As long as you take out the other two, the remaining one can leave this café safely."

"Don’t fall for it, it’s a trap!"

The elder judge shouted sharply, "Even if we die, we will never turn on each other! Isn’t that right?"

Yet this time, the two younger judges avoided eye contact, not daring to look him in the eye. The anxious silence spread in the warehouse, and the three couldn’t help but reach for their guns at their waists. The silence made even their comrades feel untrustworthy. What if... what if one of them agreed to the demons’ terms?

Once you’re the last survivor, no one will know what happened in the warehouse.

The thoughts in their minds tortured the three, until...

A fourth person suddenly opened the warehouse door.

Not only the judges but also the demons gathered at the entrance were startled by the door-opening woman. The woman held a fruit basket in her left hand and a wooden stick on her right shoulder. After a few seconds of staring at the demons, she swung the stick and struck the demon closest to her.

"You saw me, didn’t you!"

Her vibrant voice echoed in the warehouse for a long time.

However, this time, the fierce blow of the wooden stick did not rebound on the woman. The demon hit in the face fell to the ground and started convulsing immediately. Its limbs twisted, emitting painful wails. Soon, its convulsing body opened its mouth wide, and billowing black smoke was drawn out from its body.

The demon was banished and would be forced back to the Demon King’s side.

However, before that could happen, another blow struck the rising black smoke. The smoke heading out the window was instantly swept to the ground. The woman surged ahead, the stick pouring down with a crackling sound, the black smoke rolling and writhing in agony until it completely dissipated under the blows of the stick.

The surrounding demons, scared silly, were finally awoken from their dream.

—That wasn’t banishment, this woman just struck their companion dead with a stick!

"Who are you?!"

The demons blurted out.

"Haha!"

This scene was so bizarre that even the demons felt it was incredibly strange. The woman didn’t answer their question but put the fruit basket on the ground. With both hands, she picked up the stick and charged at them, laughing, shouting words that made the demons shudder, "You saw me too!"

Haunted!

The few demons no longer felt like having fun. They fled from the possessed bodies in panic, even if it meant they’d be forced back to the Demon King’s side. Anything was better than being struck dead on the spot by this crazy woman.

The slower-fleeing demons were struck dead under the blows of the stick in the blink of an eye. The woman even swung her stick, chasing them out of the café.

"Don’t run, you all saw me!"
