Within My Sect, All Realms Unite - Chapter 75: End Of Yan Family
Deep inside the Yan family estate, beneath layers of sealed formations and hidden passages, an old man suddenly coughed out a mouthful of dark blood as his body trembled slightly. His eyes snapped open the next moment, sharp and cold, as he forcefully stabilized the chaotic qi within him and suppressed the backlash.
"No how did that worm die?" he muttered under his breath, his voice low yet filled with disbelief and irritation as his thoughts raced. "Such a waste... and all the other seeds have perished as well."
He slowly checked his condition, his senses turning inward as he felt the power circulating within his body, unstable yet close to a breakthrough. He was only a single step away from the Divine Transformation realm, yet now that final step felt uncertain.
Just then, the heavy doors of the chamber were pushed open without warning, the sound echoing slightly in the otherwise silent space. A middle-aged man rushed in without restraint, his face covered in tears and snot as he stumbled forward and fell at the old man’s feet.
His body trembled uncontrollably as he tried to speak, his breath uneven and broken from panic and grief. The old man’s expression shifted instantly, the earlier coldness disappearing as a concerned and almost fatherly look appeared on his face.
"What happened, Lil Yan?" he asked calmly, his tone gentle as if nothing was wrong.
The man on the ground shook violently as he forced himself to speak, his voice breaking between sobs as he struggled to get the words out. "Father... Yan Chuan is dead the Yan family has been left without an heir"
His words faltered before continuing, filled with both hatred and fear as the truth settled in his mind. "It was done by that beast Yan Feng... and the people with him"
The moment those words were spoken, the atmosphere changed completely.
The warmth on the old man’s face vanished without a trace, replaced by a cold and calculating expression as his thoughts moved rapidly. "Damn it... they used demonic power," he thought, his gaze darkening slightly as realization struck.
"This place is no longer secure, and staying here any longer will only bring trouble," he continued inwardly, his mind already making decisions. "Useless fools... the Yan family cannot even handle something like this properly."
Behind him, the blood pool began to bubble slowly as the thick, dark liquid churned as if responding to his intent, releasing faint traces of demonic aura into the chamber. His eyes changed slightly, a faint beast-like gleam appearing within them as hesitation disappeared completely. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
He did not pause and in a single motion, his hand shot forward and pierced through the man kneeling before him, entering from the back and exiting through the chest with terrifying precision. The heart in his hand was still beating, trembling weakly as blood dripped down onto the ground.
The man’s body froze in place as his eyes widened in confusion, his face still wet with tears as his thoughts struggled to catch up with what had just happened. His own father had attacked him, yet before that realization could even settle, his body began to collapse.
It did not fall naturally, but instead broke apart as his flesh, blood, and qi were all drawn inward, pulled toward the old man and the blood pool behind him. Within moments, nothing remained, as if he had never existed at all.
The blood pool surged violently and then it shrank rapidly as it was absorbed into the old man’s body, his aura rising slightly as the power settled within him. The instability in his cultivation eased, and the distance to his breakthrough shortened further.
Outside the chamber, the guards who had followed the man froze in terror as they sensed what had just occurred. Their instincts screamed at them to escape, and without hesitation, they turned and ran.
But they were too slow. From the old man’s hand, dark tendrils shot out instantly, piercing through each of them before they could even reach the exit. Their bodies stiffened as the tendrils wrapped around them, draining everything they had within seconds.
Their struggles were brief. The tendrils retracted as their bodies vanished completely, leaving behind no trace of what had just happened. The old man flicked his hand lightly, his expression returning to calm as if nothing significant had occurred.
"A waste," he muttered quietly, his tone indifferent as his gaze shifted toward the exit. "But leaving them alive would only create more problems."
He stepped out of the chamber and into the inner corridors, his pace unhurried as his presence spread silently through the estate like something inevitable. The dim lantern light flickered along the walls, but the warmth of the place had already begun to fade.
A servant carrying a tray barely had time to react before his body froze mid-step, a thin tendril piercing through his throat without warning. The tray slipped from his hands, but before it could hit the ground, both it and the man were torn apart and absorbed completely.
Further ahead, two disciples turned the corner, alerted by the disturbance, only to meet the old man’s gaze directly. Before they could even Bow to the ancestor their bodies twisted inward unnaturally, crushed by an unseen force as their blood and qi were drawn out in a single breath.
The estate began to stir as voices rose in confusion and fear as more people sensed something was wrong, footsteps echoing through the halls as guards rushed forward. Yet none of them understood what they were running toward.
Some tried to resist, circulating qi and launching attacks, but their movements slowed before they could even reach him, their bodies collapsing as the tendrils tore through them without effort. Others turned to flee, but the tendrils chased them through corridors and walls alike, leaving no path of escape.
Then he entered another room as the door opened slowly, revealing a couple resting together, their bodies close as they slept in unaware peace. The sudden sound woke them instantly, their eyes widening in panic as they saw him standing at the entrance.
They scrambled back in confusion, trying to cover themselves, the man moving instinctively to shield the woman behind him despite the fear shaking his body. His mouth opened to speak, but before any words could come out, a tendril pierced straight through his chest.
Blood erupted outward, splashing across the woman’s face and body, the crimson catching the faint moonlight filtering through the window. Her scream burst out immediately, sharp and filled with terror.
It did not last long as another tendril shot forward and pierced through her mouth and abdomen at once, cutting off the sound completely as her body stiffened in place. Her eyes remained wide, her hands frozen mid-motion as her form began to break apart.
Both of them were absorbed within moments, and nothing remained in the room as silence settled once again. Just as the old man was about to leave, a faint crying sound rose from a corner.
He turned and saw a small infant lying there, its tiny body trembling as it cried without understanding anything. The old man approached slowly and reached out toward the child. The moment he touched it gently, the child stopped crying.
The old man stepped back into the corridor without looking at the room again, his expression unchanged as he continued forward. Hall after hall fell into silence as he moved, his presence spreading like a shadow that swallowed everything it touched.
The Yan family estate, once filled with life and prestige, turned hollow within a single night as every living presence was erased. From elders to servants, from warriors to children who could not even understand what was happening, no one was spared.
By the time the first light of dawn appeared on the horizon, nothing remained of the Yan family.
